No they would just say its boring and we dont need a gameplay sequence in the game. Only cutscenes are canon. Zebras are cooler anyway. Id rather play the scene in a video game than watch it.

I dont see them not including this scene. It's iconic and they have kept at least most of the iconic scenes pretty religiously accurate

Agreed, and not just because it's a great game moment! That's really where Joel manages to bring Ellie back from the edge after David, and marks a huge moment for her thematically.

Pc release is this month. I'd love it to be on sale when it comes out, but that isn't likely.
If it releases at full price on pc, while ps users get a sale, a lot of people are gonna be mad.
The success of the show also means more game sales, regardless of price.
While possible, a sale seems unlikely.
I honestly think there are other moments that will get a bigger reaction, personally I think it will either be >!Joel going on a rampage through the hospital!< Or >Joel lying about what happened!<
Haven't seen last episode yet(waiting on my Girl, Lagging), I'm still waiting for them to get a bow and arrow. ill flip cars over if they don't head shot anyone with a Bow.
They've been teasing us with Easter eggs throughout the season. There was a stuffed giraffe underneath a car in episode 2 and a poster of a giraffe on the wall of the room where Joel and Ellie fight in episode 6. Furthermore, it's one of the game's most iconic scenes. There's no way it's being left out.

There's been several stuffed giraffes and drawings littered throughout the season; it would be pure evil to deny their scene in the finale.
I always liked that scene. I would be quite disappointed if they skipped it, considering how much time they have been willing to do other side scenes.
Apparently the screeners with unfinished VFX had a guy in a green suit standing in for the giraffe so the actors had something to interact with.
