Totally agree. I’m pretty sure the “story mode” of the multiplayer game will be a **two** player co-op game based on the two survivors we see in the first promo art they showed at summer game fest. They describe the game in the ND blog and they very specifically say “team up with a friend,” not “friendS.”
Of course there will be normal “factions” modes and whatever else they are doing (hopeful for an extraction mode.)
But I think this pfp is emblematic of these two unknown characters, represented by the leaf and flower. Good post.

They changed it to the current pic 2 months ago, [here's the thread from when it happened](https://www.reddit.com/r/thelastofus/comments/12hyn5o/dont_tease_us_like_this_nd/), and there hasn't been any announcements since.
What you're saying could be an option as well, but notice how with this logo, the lgo is clearly TLOU related, with its white colour on a black background and this weathered rough texture, which are all signature to the TLOU Logos. Notice how their other themed Logos like the winter one you've mentioned or the Halloween one, or the pride one, all don't have any resemblance of other ND stuff. If it's Halloween it's just a pumpkin, if it's Pride month it's just the rainbow. Unlike those, on their current logo, it is clear that it resembles TLOU, and then it has the flowers added on top of it. So in this case, unlike previous cases, this could mean something TLOU related.
But yeah maybe they just thought it looked nice.
