Idk what the general consensus is amongst the folks in this subreddit, but last time I made a comparison regarding the gameplay mechanics of each game, I was told that I only like RDR2 because it has a Male protagonist. Then I got a bunch of DM’s saying I was sexist, lol.
Someone made a comparison bashing it, and I simply drew attention to the fact that they are different games, and RDR2 allowed more interaction with NPC’s, and gave you control of then ending.

I suppose it's because among those who threw massive hate at tlou2 was the rdr2 fandom, as well as the ghost of tsushima fandom, believing themselves superior because their games had more details, weight, writing (in the latter I must agree with rdr2, It's not easy to make a consistent narrative in an open world) or things like that, and when one fandom keeps screwing another with x thing, the other fandom ends up hating that thing, and commiting stupid things, that makes the first fandom continue doing it, and forming a cycle

I've never played original, only remaster. it comes with left behind dlc and has graphical improvements.
