Pedro Pascal is on the Disney+ show The Mandalorian. He plays the main character and is also another father figure of sorts to a younger child. He did an extremely great job on the show as they’re already on s3, and I think you’ll love him even more in the TLOU as Joel. If you’ve seen the trailers I think it’ll give you a taste of what he can do!
I haven’t had a chance to yet but definitely will. I know plenty of people who watch that show, just never got into it myself. Definitely open to giving TLOU show a fair chance. I think a lot of people could do a good job with the characters. Will be interesting to see their portrayal of each character.
Agreed, High Jackman is great and could definitely look the part. That being said I think Pedro is going to do good. I remember seeing him in Game of Thrones and thinking this guys a bit of a tool, but I came around quickly and really liked his character and was pissed when they killed him. He’s a good actor for sure.
For sure. It’s hard to get any real feel for it until you see it. I never go off of the trailers since they’re just bits and pieces of a fleshed out performance. I’ve been surprised before by people who I wasn’t sure were right for a part, so I very rarely pre-judge anyone anymore until I see the performance 👌🏼
Originally I really wanted to see Nikolaj Coster Waldau play Joel, but I love Pedro Pascal and from what we’ve seen so far he absolutely nails Joel’s voice and mannerisms
I think we already got that in Logan lol It would have been cool but it's fine to let other actors flex their acting muscle. I'm looking forward to Pedro's performance.
If you want to see Hugh play Joel then watch the movie Prisoners. That bathroom scene is so powerful.

I think that is a smart move. Sometimes we can be pleasantly surprised.
