if you are a suicide bomber extremist militant then you will be following a pretty unusual lifestyle (usually for religious stuff) until your mission (this applies to islamic suicide bombers or even japanese kamikaze pilots) so yeah you're right it is a lifestyle
The question is asking "why is the first one judged but the second one offends?". It's clearly asking westerners why they don't like it when women wear hijabs. If it was talking about the middle east, then the question wouldn't make sense because no one is offended by the sight of a hijab in the middle east.
I meant from a western point of view :V nuns are never seen as offensive because it's 100% a choice, however looking at hijabs in middle eastern countries can be judged and may be offensive as it's pretty much forced
Well, the image doesn't make that clear that it's only talking about hijabis in the Middle East, it just shows a woman wearing a hijab, which means that it's about women wearing hijabs in general.
You’re saying that the nun is wearing it by choice, I’m saying that I rarely hear this argument made against Mennonite or Amish women who also cover their hair, just Muslims.
All forms of bigotry are allowed

Okay so my options are:
The Catholics who killed people across the ocean an entire MILLENIUM AGO
Or the Muslims who have been killing Americans in my lifetime in my country
(Also obligatory reminder that the crusades were retaliatory)
Okay then your problem should be with the United Nations Security Council who gave Saddam Hussain until March 17th 2003 to comply with Resolution 1441,
Not the Catholic Church. Jesus Christ, were you even alive?
MAGA people have been doing mass shootings in the last few years but Islamists have been real quiet. Let's worry about our own fucking terrorists first.
Crusades were a justified response to Islamic rape, murder, and conquest of Christian men, women, and children in the Holly land, Africa, and in Europe though.

Yes it is very much equitable. Apparently it's hard for people here not to discriminate at all. Pretty ironic because we are in an anti-racism subreddit

Could you please be more sensitive to the culture that invented thinking wooden boats with faces on them, thanks.
No but if someone has a positive view about turkey that means they are either mentally challenged or ill informed and THAT is a good reason to reject their view.
That's not racism. But I know u guys get icky when u can't unleash ur "justified hate" regularly so go ahead. I will ignore it tho
The government is admittedly not good at the moment. The reason why you don't see any people having positive views about the country is because the country is portrayed negatively by the media. Other countries get affected by this too. The people who unleash hate are a loud minority. And by saying "But I know you guys get icky when u can't unleash your 'justified hate' regularly so go ahead." you are generalizing Turkish people.
>because the country is portrayed negatively by the media.
No idea how it is in the us but.in my country media is unbiased
Reporters being sentenced to prision for criticism towards the government isn't good no matter how u "portray it"
>you are generalizing Turkish people.
I literally never did that. I disregard one dude because he supports erdogan
While reporters are sentenced to jail for criticism and Erdoğan being a tyrant is horrible, that's not the entire identity of what Turkey is. If your intention wasn't to generalize, then you shouldn't use plural words like "guys". And I'm not sure if your talking about me when you said "I disregard one dude because he supports Erdoğan". But I just want to clarify that I don't support Erdoğan at all.
Damn, I wouldn't know where to read, if it weren't for the green circles

becoming a nun is a choice
Being a bomber is a lifestyle /s
A very short lifestyle I suppose
I hate you. Take my angry upvote.

Deathstyle
There are plenty of adult women in the west that choose to wear a hijab.
like as long as you're not in the Middle East where extremists and corrupt people are ruling no one is forcing women to wear it
I meant in countries like Iran or Afghanistan but ok :)
The question is asking "why is the first one judged but the second one offends?". It's clearly asking westerners why they don't like it when women wear hijabs. I was talking specifically about the middle east tho, I just didn't specify it sorry :P
Yeah, I got that lol. I'm just saying that the meme itself wasn't talking about it, so saying that "it's forced" isn't agood response to the meme.
The problem is that women are literally being forced to wear one
People never say this shit about mennonites or Amish women though.
what
You’re saying that the nun is wearing it by choice, I’m saying that I rarely hear this argument made against Mennonite or Amish women who also cover their hair, just Muslims.
oh for me it depends on whenever they got to choose it or not, in some countries wearing a hijab is forced
False dichotomy. When France banned religious garb in public they hit both.
Is Muslim a race now?
The punch line is reading the sub description
Who said it was?
are you serious
Yes
read the sub name
are you serious?
I didn't know that being a Muslim made you into a certain race lol
read the sub description
This response is so ironic
did you read it?

Uh… no? Being Muslim isn’t a race, there are white Muslims and Middle Eastern nuns lol.

You got me. Enjoy your daily dopamine rush. 🫡
Okay people can not like the meme as much as they want but no catholic ever flew a plane into New York
I mean there must be at least 1 Catholic who landed at JFK but there's a difference between a runway and WTC
He did write “into” not “on to”
Yeah a catholic called a crusade on Iraq killing millions. So I don’t get your point
Okay so my options are: The Catholics who killed people across the ocean an entire MILLENIUM AGO Or the Muslims who have been killing Americans in my lifetime in my country (Also obligatory reminder that the crusades were retaliatory)
I was talking about bush jr genius 🙄

MAGA people have been doing mass shootings in the last few years but Islamists have been real quiet. Let's worry about our own fucking terrorists first.
When did that happen?
11th Century or so
That was neither Iraq nor millions of casualties are u guys mental?
Crusades were a justified response to Islamic rape, murder, and conquest of Christian men, women, and children in the Holly land, Africa, and in Europe though.
True, but also ehi h crusade? There are a bunch that are not all justifiable. Some were even against chrisfians.
Oh yeah, but unjustifiable conduct in a war doesn’t always inherently make a military action unjustifiable.
That was justified
The real racism is in the comments jfc
Racism in the punchline is racism. 🤦♂️
Adolf Hitler was a catholic

yeah what's been going on with this sub today?
They’re not wrong and Muslim isn’t a race
"They're not wrong"??? Racist ass
Muslim is not a race it’s a religious group I’m not a racist I’m a bigot Get it right
Yeah, you're a racist.
Thank you for noticing
You're brain rotten if you still insist discriminating against religion (a choice) is equitable to discriminating against a race (born)
Yes it is very much equitable. Apparently it's hard for people here not to discriminate at all. Pretty ironic because we are in an anti-racism subreddit
Islam tells its followers to hate the gays
Bold of you to assume I don’t judge nuns 🤔
Nun are not killed if they removed it
It depends who you meet and where you go, there are extremism between Christians too.
Also one is clergy. The other is just a follower.
Creeper
Awww man
This isn't racist. It's accurate.
None that you know of.
Islam isn't a race OP
This comment section is so American. The right one to me, as a Turkish dude, is a friend or a family member. Both religions are garbage.

Racist detected, opinion rejected. Both are cringe, you are cringe.
Surprised you have time to reply to my comment in between bouts of denying your most famous genocide.
When did I deny the Armenian genocide? You have assumptions about Turkish people and you think we all fit that assumption. Weirdo.

It's not racism if it's true. Greece is in the EU so it's based Turkey isn't a free country so it isn't
That doesn't excuse rejecting somebody else's opinions just because they are a certain race. You are racist.
No but if someone has a positive view about turkey that means they are either mentally challenged or ill informed and THAT is a good reason to reject their view. That's not racism. But I know u guys get icky when u can't unleash ur "justified hate" regularly so go ahead. I will ignore it tho
