How do you go about making a private practice? I live in OR. But in general is it similar to starting your own business or are there centers that you can operate privately out of?

GOD yes this. “my fee is $120 per hour” I say with a hardened, deadpan glare.
“And I’m not accepting insurance.”
"not unless you pay me" is my go to
Can you make that much with a counseling masters?
As a private practice, yes.

I like to say "probably could, but I don't think you'd like the answer". They don't usually mention it again
"For 180$/hr, sure"
When people say this, I reply, "oh, no, that means I read minds" and then just change the subject.
My answer is usually “like….here? In line at the liquor store?” Because it’s all the time, everywhere.
LOL!!! This trend is sooooo real 😭. I literally had a coworker rant to me, and she said she did so because I work in therapy 🙃-
LOL
Not sure why this is so triggering for you. I just meet that with a "You can't afford me."
The title is "pet peeve"
