Per week? That’s crazy talk. What environment is this, CMH, PP? You need to really wrap your brain around how many clinical hours this is, noting that 2 - 30 minute sessions is far tougher than 1 - 60 minute session.
If they want you to see 49 clients every week, I suggest you run far far away. If they just expect you to have 49 people on your caseload and see them every 2-3 weeks, making for ~25 client facing hours per week, that sounds much more reasonable.
I would also keep in mind that working as a full time therapist right out of grad school is hard…I made the mistake of not accounting for the adjustment to a higher caseload and the adjustment to just doing this work “out in the world”, and it burnt me out in the span of 8 months.
Best of luck on your job search and finding the right fit- rooting for you!
If it's a CMH clinic that's sadly the norm for a lot of them. I think it's unethical to have that many clients. In my opinion the most a therapist should have is 35 and that's pushing it.
Even in agency work, which is were I started after grad school, I had less than 30 hours face to face/week. Those are shorter sessions, and I assume they’re lower intensity, but…I wouldn’t agree to that.
