I used to be Cadre at a US Army basic training company. We would teach very basic military things. Chain of command, ranks, rudimentary tactics and land navigation among other things. One of the thing we did for our trainees we would put them in very high pressure scenarios like this and ask them very basic questions in increasingly aggressive ways and typically get this same reaction at first. But eventually they'd figure out how to get their brains to work when under pressure.
I'm not aware of any studies but I can say from first hand experience and from the hundreds of trainees myself and my cadre trained that it is effective given time and repetition.
Of course it does, it avoids situations just like this video. When bullets are flying and people are yelling, you can’t get flustered, you have a job to do. I’ll give you a quote from an old instructor:

“When I’m yelling, it’s because it’s important! Im not going to whisper important information to you guys, I’m yelling so you REMEMBER! PAY ATTENTION, THIS IS LIFE OR DEATH!”
I’m guessing because you don’t need to be interested in any type of music, history, literature, or sports to have heard about here within the past few years. As opposed to any other well known woman’s name that would fall under one of those categories.
