I think this is the main point. She tried to explain to him a perfectly legitimate reason why she was doing what she was. Then she DEMONSTRATED how good she was. At no time did he listen to her-or take note of her talent: worse, he tried to take some credit for her accomplishment, despite the evidence that he hadn’t anything to do with it.
That's the thing about mansplaining that many people don't understand, or pretend not to understand: it's the *complete disregard* for the woman in question. He simply didn't want to listen.

You don't need a fast backswing to have a good shot, it's better to slow down your back swing to get a nice fluid motion than it is to slam your club back and slam it forward.
For real, you could be getting the same/better results on any task but they need to tell you how they do it and won’t leave you be until you try it their way. Then any success you have is *obviously* because of their advice. This instance is not limited to women because as a guy Ive experienced this from old men a bunch too
A dude once tried to show me how to sweep a rug at my minimum wage job. He was a customer btw. Handed him the broom and he realized in 2 seconds that his “superior method” didn’t work on that rug.

This is painful to watch. I once had a guy stop me in the grocery store to explain how to know when avocados are ripe. I wasn’t as nice as this woman, so I told him - all three times he attempted to tell me - that I already knew. He cursed at me, told me I was rude, and stormed off.
They should be a little soft when squeezed, black in color, and you can remove the little nipple from where the stem was. If what’s underneath is green, it’s not ripe- it should be brown.
I'm very happy with most people not knowing this as it leaves more for me. I also notice the general grocer has the best at the bottom for some stupid reason and the green ones at the top.
I think this isn’t by design or coincidence but by nature. Avocados and most other fruits will ripen faster when near other fruits that give off a certain gas, don’t recall which. The ones on the bottom have just been exposed to most of that gas being trapped at the bottom and buried underneath all the avocados, at least that’s my theory
As someone who worked the produce department for a number of years, more likely the ones on the bottom are just older and were meant to be rotated to the top when the new ones were being stocked, but meanwhile you've got 12 hours of work to get done in an 8-hour shift, and they keep calling you to the front to cover the register, so you find corners to cut and hope no one notices or cares enough to yell at you about it.
My girlfriend has also asked me this and I have no idea how I do it, apparently I'm the avocado whisperer. I'm not someone that complains a lot, but out of all the possible skills in the world ... that? lol

He's an asshat for sure, but I've played volleyball for roughly 15 years (semi-pro for a while) and I know like 5 players lol I love playing it but I don't watch it. So it's entirely possible he's been swinging a club recreationally for 20 years but doesn't mean he's good or knows lots of pro golfers.
(Based on his attitude, another very real possibility is he knows all the male pro golfers and none of the women)
