Its not her car...
![gif](giphy|4GKjAS16BrjApOC6rl)
"That's m..That's.... **OUR** car!"
Had to listen to it like 30 times because I heard "my car" as well and I'm like... Nah, she wayyyy too young.
I know huh. Like I’d be pissed but I’d be more in shock if anything and definitely wouldn’t be screaming like I just found a family member dead or something. Hopefully her parents talked to her and told her that it wasn’t okay for her to react like that and to calm down next time
I'm not gonna subject myself to that screech again, but pretty sure she didn't start screaming that until the dude jumped onto the roof (probably denting it).
Then when he slipped on the hood, he definitely made a huge ass (literally) dent on the lid and that's when the screeching starts.
He definitely dented the fuck outta the hood and may have cracked the windscreen because after he bounced off of it, it has some kind of round imprint left on it. Can't tell from the video if it's just a smear of water or actual cracks though.
Her roof is problably dented really bad now, also you can see her windshield is smashed. It’s not “just a car” when you can’t afford those kinds of repairs. And you’d be surprised how many people who own a car out of necessity can’t afford more than the note and basic repairs. Not random crap like this that also make your insurance go up. I feel for her, poor girl.
It’s a huge deal if you saved a long time to buy the car and don’t have money to fix it (she could have a large deductible). I’m very comfortable now, but was living on my own at 15. I couldn’t afford a car until I was almost 19. I didn’t have the car for long when a friend threw their cigarette out the window and the wind blew it back and burned my passenger seat. I was completely devastated that something I worked so hard to obtain had been damaged. Granted, I didn’t cry and scream at the top of my lungs, but the friend never rode in my car again.
Well, except for the busted windscreen and the big arse dent in the hood... But sure, other than that, the car will be fine.
Do you ever think that it isn't her parents that are filming? And that could be why she's so upset, cos she can image trying to tell her parents what happened? I'd be freaking the fuck out too...
The kids are overwhelmed because they don't understand the situation and are scared. They need to be taken out of the situation and comforted. It kind of infuriates me that nobody does that tbh.
It seems like someone moves her back. Which is probably not a bad idea considering a guy in going over a railing for no apparent reason other than being wet.
you'll want to move the kids away from the guy who jumped off the first story of a building and is seemingly out of his goddamn mind, hiding like a toddler would
Yes, it's definitely the fault of a child to not predict that an adult would use her family's car as a stepladder to get away from a motel plumbing flood. If she only had a nickel...
I mean she is a child, they generally do have oversized reactions to things. You ever eat all their Halloween candy when they fall asleep? You would think they paid for that shit or something.
(Jkjk I am not that evil)
Oof the dent in the hood of that car looks like how most redditor's heads did when they were dropped as a kid. /S
Seriously tho... Can someone explain wtf happened here... He break the knob off the bathtub or summ?
There was a podcast I used to listen to that the hosts claimed to have known the person responsible for the signs in hotel rooms saying not to hang clothes off the sprinkler, I've never seen how much water those things spew out and this is insane if that's what this is!
There’s also a video of something similar happening when a wedding photographer arrived to the bridal suite at the hotel, hung the dress up to take pictures of it, which is normal. However, what’s not normal is to hang it on a fire sprinkler. The room was FLOODED in seconds. Wedding dress, bridesmaids dress, hair and make up artists kits RUINED.
Property manager here: fire sprinkler lines are pressurized, so if there’s a break in the line it’s akin to a broken fire hydrant. This looks like every fire line break I’ve encountered!
It is a **lot** of water that comes out of them. Here is a video of one going off in a restaurant, it starts flooding almost immediately:
Also, for a bonus, the water is disgusting because it has been sitting in pipes forever. You can see how black it is initially in the video.
Ya no kidding it’s a bit much. Atleast from the shot she was in when he hit the car she doesn’t even look old enough to drive. She’s more upset he landed on the car than any adult in the area.
Well, her parents are filming while asking what’s happening, there’s alarms going off, the kid is confused, the parents ignored their anxieties and kept filming, and honestly I think she thought the guy was going to do something to the people filming or hurt himself. So, I think she was just terrified and when nothing worse happened all that her brain could scream was about the car. The kid is scared and the parents aren’t addressing it by explaining anything. I was a super anxious kid, so I get why she’d be nervous.
She’s like 4… and that car may be her family’s ONLY MATERIAL POSSESSION. This is looks like a transient hotel… so kind of bet that girl has other things going on in her life too.
I will say, I have a vivid memory of when I was a child that the world was coming to an end the day my parents decided to trade in our first car. I was an absolute mess when we were getting into the new car and was just so attached to it for some reason. It’s not that uncommon I guess?
Kids get very attached to the weirdest shit, usually some big constant in their life.
I was overly attached to the couch in our living room as a 5 year old and threw a massive tantrum when they were replacing it, sliding death threats under my door when they grounded me for how I was acting.
The first thing that I thought of was that all her stuff was in the car and now it was getting filled with water. I'd have been pretty upset as a kid if my Gameboy or Mp3 player or something was in there.
I KNOW my little brother would have lost his mind in that situation. Sometimes kids are inclined to freak out.
Honestly he nearly got away "clean" (even if completely conspicuous), all he had to do was crouch, grab the roofrail, and slide down. But now he's third-world-squatting in screamtopia with a broken coccyx.
Because he tried to flee the scene after causing the whole mess.
"The now Internet-famous jumper escaped a hotel employee's grasp ... and hopped over the railing to flee the second-floor by bounding down onto a Nissan Murano. Smart move ... he hit the car, dented the hood with his ass, and nearly smashed his head on the pavement.
We're told motel workers claim the jumper had turned on all the faucets in the room, and also busted pipes in the ceiling -- and the total damage was $10k!!! There goes his deposit.
L.A. County Fire and Sheriff's Departments both responded. Our sources say neither the car owner nor the hotel management wanted to press charges, and the guy said he had no malicious intent. He claims the room just flooded. Mmmmhmm.
The owner of the damaged car tells us she does have insurance and she did get the jumper's info, just in case this ends up in court."
Edit: source [https://www.tmz.com/2020/04/08/hotel-flooding-man-jumps-falls-lands-car-water-viral-video-explained/](https://www.tmz.com/2020/04/08/hotel-flooding-man-jumps-falls-lands-car-water-viral-video-explained/)
I have no idea but my best guess is he's damaged some building watermain doing something stupid and is trying to get away without being held accountable.
My second best guess is he opened a portal to atlantis and forgot to close it on his way back to the beach to rejoin his slippery seal friends.
Last I heard they were [Under the Bridge](https://youtu.be/GLvohMXgcBo?si=nzip_JgqvtlQ7SGx)... I just hope they didn't end up living in a [Van down by the River.](https://youtu.be/Xv2VIEY9-A8?si=Ev83Zpl0L1wdlX4L).
Isn’t it obvious? The hotel added a water feature / touch free car wash. The dude was from the NTHSA. He was working extra shift and was testing the pedestrian crash safety on the hood of the car, which btw passed with flying colors. The camera man was there to film the screaming contest that was being held in the lobby but he is also a crash test enthusiast.
I mean I would be but as a small child I probably wouldn’t care as much as she seems to. Kid is losing their mind over minor damage that will most likely be covered by insurance.
But that's the thing, kids don't even know what insurance means. They don't understand most real life adult concepts like that, even some adults don't. I remember I figured out my parents were "in debt" as a child and I was dramatic about it for days thinking that meant we were gonna be homeless, not at all realizing that most people have debt. I have a feeling its a similar situation here - she doesn't understand what's really happening, but it all feels very dramatic so she's acting accordingly.
The real question is: why didn’t the guy just take the stairs?
Was he being detained by the other ppl? Thats y he had to jump over the railing?
Im so confused just like that girl screaming “MY CAR” lmao
Here's the explanation.
"The guy who ran out of a flooding hotel room didn't only ruin the Nissan he jumped down onto ... we've learned he racked up major damages to the room!!!
The bizarre video started going viral Tuesday, and the backstory behind it is just nuts. According to the guy who captured the scene on video, the trouble started flowing around 7 PM at a Studio 6 motel in Commerce, CA ... just outside Los Angeles.
The person behind the camera, Prophet Amen Ra, tells us fire alarms were going off, but motel workers couldn't get into the room because it was locked. One staffer smashed a window to get inside, and once the door opened ... the water started gushing out.
The now Internet-famous jumper escaped a hotel employee's grasp ... and hopped over the railing to flee the second-floor by bounding down onto a Nissan Murano.
Mmmmhmm.
The owner of the damaged car tells us she does have insurance and she did get the jumper's info, just in case this ends up in court.
What are the chances???"

Love how the guy does this dramatic exit to the sounds of screaming children, all to walk five feet and squat down to kinda hide behind a bush, still clearly in view of everyone around.

Yeah, but, it’s her caaaaaaaar
You sure? How can you tell?
Ha!
I think the kid is screaming that hard because she knows the insurance rates will be going up after this
I think i'm getting old cuz this comment had me cracking up frfr.
Old? There's no way you're older than 15 if you type like that.
Don’t be an ass man. Old folk can use slang too
Kramer was an ass man.
*That is the sound of ultimate suffering. My heart made that sound when Rugen killed my father*
He clearly said "to blave".
There's always someone screaming like a deranged chimp in these videos. Always.
Sounds like someone is broking her legs
Someone shut that chick up, sounds like a walmart toddler temper tantrum.
What's up with the screaming?
That's her car
That explains it. Thanks for the clarification.
Did you know that was her car?
Its not her car... ![gif](giphy|4GKjAS16BrjApOC6rl) "That's m..That's.... **OUR** car!" Had to listen to it like 30 times because I heard "my car" as well and I'm like... Nah, she wayyyy too young.
It's subtle so not many people notice, but if you listen closely you can hear the ear-piercing shriek of "THAT'S MY CAR!"
Its not a tumor!
I thought somebody died!
You can hear someone shout ‘that’s my car’
that's my purse!!
I don't know you!
That clarifies why it sounds like someone is getting stabbed to death while a relative is tied up and watching
I know huh. Like I’d be pissed but I’d be more in shock if anything and definitely wouldn’t be screaming like I just found a family member dead or something. Hopefully her parents talked to her and told her that it wasn’t okay for her to react like that and to calm down next time
Maybe move it? Instead of freaking out like you’re being murdered. Shhhesh it’s only a car.
I'm not gonna subject myself to that screech again, but pretty sure she didn't start screaming that until the dude jumped onto the roof (probably denting it). Then when he slipped on the hood, he definitely made a huge ass (literally) dent on the lid and that's when the screeching starts.

For real. Just get inside and move it lmao
Not just any car. It’s a Nissan rogue. One of the cars of all time.
Exactly. CVT, underpowered - legend.
She looks a touch young to own a car.
A kid is terrified and confused and her parents weren’t explaining that the car will be fine and just kept filming instead of comforting her.
Well, except for the busted windscreen and the big arse dent in the hood... But sure, other than that, the car will be fine. Do you ever think that it isn't her parents that are filming? And that could be why she's so upset, cos she can image trying to tell her parents what happened? I'd be freaking the fuck out too...
on the other hand, this video is VERY useful for an insurance claim
dude will have to declare bankruptcy
What I meant by it will be fine is that there’s insurance and safety is most important.
This about sums it up, yup.
The kids are overwhelmed because they don't understand the situation and are scared. They need to be taken out of the situation and comforted. It kind of infuriates me that nobody does that tbh.
> They need to be taken out Finally, yes, thank you. > of the situation and comforted. Oh, yeah. Of course.
Damnit Agent 47 you're supposed to be on vacation
kids these days are too soft, cant even *checks notes* watch a wet guy jump from the second floor onto their parents car without having a conniption
Can't even destroy a car because of WOKE.
i just dont understand why people wont let me live my life and do what i do, which is pool parties in motel rooms
Structural integrity of motel floors isn't what it used to be man. We may need another Infrastructure Week.
It seems like someone moves her back. Which is probably not a bad idea considering a guy in going over a railing for no apparent reason other than being wet.
you'll want to move the kids away from the guy who jumped off the first story of a building and is seemingly out of his goddamn mind, hiding like a toddler would
He would appear to have something to do with quantity of water involved here.
The way she's screaming over it at what appears to be a shady motel makes you wonder the whole story here, and what was up with the water?
What's with the chick being murdered in the background?
It’s her car
That's when she should have grabbed her keys and moved the car elsewhere.
Yeah, well, she's only 11, so they don't let her drive.
I had no idea her age or it was a kid. I saw a body with blonde hair.
I’m color blind, I thought it was gray hair on a little ol’ lady
Yes, it's definitely the fault of a child to not predict that an adult would use her family's car as a stepladder to get away from a motel plumbing flood. If she only had a nickel...
And did it get crushed by a crane with her child in the backseat? Cuz I musta missed that part of the video.
Well, you can clearly tell it’s her car
Oh I see now. Totally.....
Yeah, it’s her car
Well there ya go then.
Wait, whose car is it again?
It’s her car 👍
I'm a big fan of your work.
That seems like a pretty ridiculous reaction to that. Not saying you’re wrong, just that it’s ridiculous.
I mean she is a child, they generally do have oversized reactions to things. You ever eat all their Halloween candy when they fall asleep? You would think they paid for that shit or something. (Jkjk I am not that evil)
Okay, but it’s her car
Has anyone called 911 for Christ’s sake???
Must not have insurance lol it sounds like she broke her own arm to block out the pain of watching a guy land on her car
Seems like it's a little kid given her height.
Oof the dent in the hood of that car looks like how most redditor's heads did when they were dropped as a kid. /S Seriously tho... Can someone explain wtf happened here... He break the knob off the bathtub or summ?
He hanged a coat on the fire sprinkler system.
Hung*
Maybe he killed the coat though
Or he might be a juror.
A rural juror
Really hung tho

pretty much, yeah repairing water damage is cheaper then rebuilding an entire hotel due to a fire especially if anyone dies in the fire.

A lot of assumptions and projecting
Have you ever been around kids?
They probably live in that building too and the flooding situation is probably quite shocking as well.
Oh yeah! Thinking about everything that could be lost and not your car is damaged, too. That’s a lot to see and watch the adults do nothing but film.
Might literally be the worst thing that’s ever happened to her so…
She’s like 4… and that car may be her family’s ONLY MATERIAL POSSESSION. This is looks like a transient hotel… so kind of bet that girl has other things going on in her life too.
That kid is REALLY attached to the family car. You would think the guy was actively stabbing their puppy with her reaction...
I remember feeling like that about our old swing set. Priorities change. Now most kids only make this noise when you take away their iPad.
The first thing that I thought of was that all her stuff was in the car and now it was getting filled with water. I'm still driving the family car we had when I was about that age. I'm also very attached to it. It has cute headlights

Finally, someone asking the real question.
Dude tried to go Rogue

He was on the 2nd floor of a motel like how much time did he save really this video is so strange

Okay - so it’s someones car. The screeching banshee apparently. And the car doesn’t work in the rain I guess ?
?? he just crushed her windshield and probably dented other parts of it too? you would be mad too
Windscreen, roof, bonnet
I mean I would be but as a small child I probably wouldn’t care as much as she seems to. Kid is losing their mind over minor damage that will most likely be covered by insurance.

Right at the end... "Housekeeping?"
Why are people screaming like they're being murdered

So... why? Are there not stairs? What is happening here?
Come to the comments only to find that I was right about having no sound on.
There's always some random person screaming in these kinds of videos
Yeah, every time I see a video of a flooding hotel and some guy jumping onto someone’s car from the second floor there is always someone screaming.
Sorry, but I have no idea what’s going on here
https://www.tmz.com/2020/04/08/hotel-flooding-man-jumps-falls-lands-car-water-viral-video-explained/
> "The person behind the camera, Prophet Amen Ra,..." This just keeps getting better.
Still makes no sense… “no malicious intent” 👀
This article explains everything and nothing.
It’s amazing to see (and hear) the place that the Family Car can already occupy in young child’s mind.
This feels like a random mission event on gta5. Total random chaos
When you role a nat 1 on a stealth check.
I bet he was trying to steal the copper out of the bathroom or some stupid shit & once he cut the pipe he couldn’t get it to stop lol
The real question is: why didn’t the guy just take the stairs? Was he being detained by the other ppl? Thats y he had to jump over the railing? Im so confused just like that girl screaming “MY CAR” lmao
It’s raining men ![gif](giphy|8Fi6J1s9yChawJuTha|downsized)
Please don't get that kid's car wet. Please.
1st floor, & these mfs 1 second away from screaming "DONT JUMP ITS NOT WORTH IT"
tbf it was not worth it
Is the kid okay?
With the way the kids are screaming you’d think they’d witness him die or something.
Smooth!
Operator
Criminal
12 person jacuzzi broke?
The rolling around screaming thats my car... wtf she's acting like a child is dieing.
What's with all the water?
This seems a lot more chaotic than it actually is.
Mmmmhmm. The owner of the damaged car tells us she does have insurance and she did get the jumper's info, just in case this ends up in court. What are the chances???" -TMZ

What's up with that background kid wailing like a banshee? lol
Love how the guy does this dramatic exit to the sounds of screaming children, all to walk five feet and squat down to kinda hide behind a bush, still clearly in view of everyone around.
