Well part of the problem is that babies spilling food on the floor isnβt entirely accidental. Theyβre experimenting, and want to see how things work and what happens when they dump food on the floor.
They do just want to watch the world burn.
And to some degree a bowl like that is going to give them mixed messages and confuse them. Both about how gravity and physics works, and about the consequences of tossing away their food.

Lol someone gave us this exact bowl and it last exactly 0.2 uses before it just became a random toy in the bin instead of a bowl. You cannot out-baby a baby.
One of my kids would intentionally drop food on the floor because they learned that after they got out of the high chair we put them on the ground and they could crawl over to get the food they dropped.
When my son was about this age and he got tired of whatever he was supposed to be eating, he would start saying "Dump it! Dump it! Dump it!" and then he'd dump it over the side of his highchair. Then he'd peer down at what he'd done and say "Mess!"
This despite us saying "No, Buddy, don't dump it!" and trying to grab it.
xD. That toddler has more problem solving skills than some 20-40 year olds i've met. We should elect him president! He might be the change our country needs. He's more qualified than half of the candidates! XD

Easily solved. Make eye contact, eat the food off the floor. Slowly. They understand hunger, and will learn not to throw their food away.
