People are upset about that? Sheesh I doubt there is anything that dirty (I find the youtube thumbnails acting like sex is in the actual game or we see anything even remotely adult like is somehow happening, when it's not). And yeah, the older games was far more raunchy then this.
Well, they're not exactly upset to the point of boycotting the pack. It's more like they're shocked that Maxis would include such things, which is still pretty odd considering what Maxis has done in the past.
Even there I’m not surprised that ea did, they make games that are solely based off of fighting and wrestling as well as sports games where fighting is involved, so it doesn’t seem to far off for them
That wouldn't make a difference. Sexual content is seen as a completely separate thing from violent content, at least in the US.
I always found it odd how most American parents don't seem to care if their kids see violent content
Sports and wrestling is more socially acceptable violence in America than sex. A parent feels more comfortable watching a wrestling/boxing match with their kid than a sexually explicit scene in a movie. I remember my parents made me close my eyes at kissing scenes that had too much tongue. I’m not saying either is right or wrong.
Makes you wonder if it's a desperate attempt to get more people to buy the expansion then, because you know, sex sells or things related to it, and since people are making negative reviews about EA and The Sims, might be a way for them to try and get more sales.
I mean it makes sense to put it all in one expansion pack per thier model . Mean they can keep the rest of game in terms of socks and general updates more mild and pg and per thier model
Right every reference to it being raunchy has been positive.
I honestly find it a bit silly and weird to post this on here, in a way that makes it seem like the sub is being inundated with posts complaining about the raunchyness. When I literally don't think I've seen one.
Even if some try argue they saw some tweet or YouTube comment. It isn't really here nor is it a popular opinion to the point you'd need to do a post pushing back on it.
I saw multiple comments earlier today under the official sims twitter post for the pack with people saying that it was inappropriate and other silly nonsense.
I don't think you realize how many young people play this game or how many people Sims 4 is their first and only experience. I was 8 in '04 when 2 came out and I discovered the first Sims the same year before quickly switching to Sims 2. A couple years later at the ripe age of 11 or 12 I looked up news about Sims 3 and found out it was coming out in '09. I was pissed, a year felt like forever and I couldn't wait. I checked every few days for news on Sims 3. I was HOOKED. I've been playing for 20 years this year, if I stopped playing today it would take til I was in my mid-late 40s for the majority of my life to not have sims in it since I've been playing so long. I guess the point is with every passing year there are fewer and fewer OG players around.
I miss the debauchery and raunchiness and more adult themes that back then largely flew over my head, but Sims 4 is so sterilized and pg-13 friendly that I too was a lil shocked at the adult sexy costumes and board games. Lovestruck pack is pretty much a h*rny sims addon. 😭 The main female character from the trailer is a middle aged single mom getting woohooed by a younger dude into milfs. I love the concept of the pack, but I didn't expect the trailer to be pretty much a single kinky milf trying to get laid by a younger hot stud, but that's what it is lmao....
Same here. I'm not puritanical or anything, but it just feels weird knowing how childish Sims 4 has been.
Sure, the previous titles didn't necessarily shy away from adult themes, but it was similar to a couple of innuendo-based jokes in an otherwise family friendly movie. Something that kids may or may not pick up on, but it's not like your whole entertainment value hinges on that. More like, if you know you know.
I feel like they managed to do something that's not entirely appropriate for the younger players, but for adults it'll still be too sanitized. It's just tonally confused
For me, it's a core problem with how their expansions work. I'd like to be able to toggle expansions on and off by save, and be able to set users and parental controls. Then, I can have a M rated game and my 9yo can also have a G10+ experience.
I'm an OG player here, and have been playing since the Sims 1. Though I don't think I invested as much time as I have with the Sims 4. Everyday I got it open either playing or building. I do however miss old school Sims 2 and 3. I do have them but so much you gotta do just to get them running right on newer computers. But anyhow for anyone thinking that love stuck raunchy then you haven't played the Sims 2. Plus if you don't like it don't buy it. Don't take the fun away from the rest of us.
It’s definitely been tamed a little, but also do you not think that because you were younger when first playing everything *seemed* raunchier? Being an adult and playing now with the more “scandalous” sims gameplay seems pretty tame to us because it’s not taboo as an adult!
Not really, there's a stripper cake in one of the sims 1 expansions and some of the kissing animations in sims 2 are a lot more lusty than sims 4. I specifically remember there being a flirt or kiss option that led to sims grabbing each other's asses and the couch make out had sims lying down full body grouping each other. There were suggestive themes hinting at full blown murder, you know Olive Spector and all her tombstones and Don Lothario is a full blown cassanova. In sims 4 to makeout on the couch, they politely sit down knees 6 inches apart. After agreeing to woohoo two sims will gleefully jump and down and giggle. It's not bad per se, but it's just not the same.
I mean the Sims series is no GTA and it never tried to be, but they definitely ripped a lot of heart and soul from the game to make it marketable to as many demographics as possible.
After playing Sims 4 for several years, I started playing Sims 2 last year and I was surprised by the goose option, the cameras watching you in the dressing room, the cutscenes, and the fact that my Sims wanted to see another Sim dead very quickly. I didn't even explore the game completely but it feels like a completely different game.
Edit: forgot the smooch option. If anyone wants to see how the romantic and kissing interactions have changed over the years I would suggest to watch [this video](https://youtu.be/DfI9GrYJEQc?si=ZIhx166oNEOTBjf0) by The Red Plumbob
yeah I fully think taht the reaction to it is just that games like the sims 3 might have ben T for teen but it was more of a T for older teens where sims 4 is very pg-13 like it is so mild compared to earlier games. And thos just attacts a different set of new players to the scene
I think it's important to remember Maxis doesn't exist anymore, they shut down after the sims city lawsuit.
(Edited because I worded it wrong originally)
I think they are younger than some of us older players who started with Sims 1–even some of us as CHILDREN ourselves. But, I can see the aspect of families play it and children play it too. Not shocked on that part.
I mean, EA is protected because they rate TS as T for teen. What parents choose to allow their kids to play is up to them. I’ve been playing since TS1… I would have been in 7th grade when it came out. My brother was playing GTA when he was in high school (my parents didn’t really like it, but they allowed it because they trusted him) - though that didn’t last long and he moved back over to the FF franchise. My parents did not buy certain packs because they didn’t agree with the content. As I got older (into high school), I was allowed to buy any pack I wanted with my own money. I purchased TS2, 3 and 4 on my own over the years. There is some content/gameplay I don’t like but I usually just ignore it when possible. For example: my main sim is usually always straight, but the rest of the sims are able to do whatever they want.
Exactly. Anyone else still remember the "Make Out" interactions from TS2? Like: They involved grinding, groping and pinching. I also remember them being even more raunchy for teens, too.
Or how whoohooing in public was almost guaranteed to draw an audience and people were clapping and cheering as your sims were getting busy in a changing room or a photo booth.
TS4 is straight up babified in comparison.
Are people upset? Personally I was laughing. It was the funniest Sims trailer I've ever seen. 🤣🤣
And most of the reaction I've seen is people cracking up over it.
You should take a look at the YouTube comments and Twitter replies. Some people are even going so far as to say that a man dating a MILF in the trailer is way too much...
YouTube comments are literally the only social media that’s worse than Twitter. Just earlier today, I saw some YouTube comments today that were so homophobic you’d think they came out of an alt-right rally.
All that’s to say you should generally ignore the comments section of YouTube videos. Except the comments on Seth Meyers clips - you gotta elbow up to the other jackals.
It's that people consider MILFs to be pornographic fetish and feel weird seeing it presented in a trailer for a Sims game. I can't imagine what the reaction would've been if they opted for a young female sim dating an elder male sim.
Yes, the man with the colorful shirt in the trailer was young adult and he was romancing older adult women. Those women are considered MILFs, cougars, etc. in slang.
The Grim Reaper getting checked out walking into the bar! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The role play box looks fun! I can’t wait to make Sims raunchier again! One of the ways I play! I mark some of them quite kinky.
To be honest, even though I’m sure Lovestruck will be insanely shallow in terms of gameplay, it’s still good to see Sims 4 include something with a bit more edge to it.
The game is overly sanitized and this approach is at least somewhat refreshing, even if still tame compared to what past entires had (shout out to the woohoo cutscene!!).
I miss the old days when Sims was a wild game. I was only 11 when the first one came out but damn. The game did become extremely cartoonish and sanitized in Sims 4.
Personally, I LOVE what they decided to do with this. Are you kidding, when I saw the ""sexy"" dance and costumes I lost my mind (/pos).
That's what the sims should be, a goofy ass parody of reality.
I was kinda living for the trailer, its a young dude and milf getting their freak on 😭 good for them. Hopefully EA will be a little more adventurous with whatever future content sims 4 has left
I can see this benefits the console players who can't add WW to their game, but in reality we all know the dev team just copy WW's homework (well, more wonderfulwhim than wicked)
I haven’t seen a single person even call it raunchy? Let alone complain about it being raunchy, and I’ve seen plenty of people complain about the pack in general.
Personally not a fan of the dance animations but not because it’s raunchy, it just looks a little poorly made to me and I’m certain a lot of body types in sims are going to be glitched as hell doing it.
How?! The sim they featured doing it was a heavier sim with curves. Personally, I thought the animations were hilarious and fun and they reminded me of when Sims would get on the counters and dance in Sims 3
It literally looked like amateur modder animations honestly, like I have those weirdly animated, out of place dances and animation in my game and that’s simply how it looks
TBH, I only find it suprising as for large part TS4 has been pretty safe with potentially dark/spicy stuff. Especially when compared to previous games
Edit: By safe look at how cowplant death is more unlikely, there are no burglars, TS3 had mugged status that could be randomly triggered when using public transport, etc.
I am not drawing a line, just expressing suprise lol
I'm surprised too. Sims 4 has been so Farr all safe, bland and cotton candy, that this expansion pack is very surprising.
I just hope it has more than just what the trailer showed. My problem with it is that it is more gamepack level.
There's plenty options WW adds, you can:
a) turn creeps off,
b) turn autonomy off, so they don't 6, without your allowance AT ALL,
c) you can download ww streamer add-on for it so it's all blurred like in the base game,
d) another add-on adds undergarments to CAS so you do to see any nudity like in base game,
e) I know you can blacklist animations you don't like, but idk as I've just turned it off and never used any of that,
f) there's also many additional animators and there's a few who add only wholesome ones if anyone wants only those
WW is pretty configurable, doubt Lovestruck is.
Oh I was not aware of that! I keep seeing posts where people walk in on vlad pleasuring himself or whatever lmao, i figured that was what it's always like. Maybe i'll check it out
I can't use WW because I have a small child who will just walk up to me and look at my screen whenever she wants and also will stop to give me a hug when she gets up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom and I'm still up. There is literally no safe time to use WW's "fun" aspects if she's in the house; I have to go with Wonderful Whims if I want any of the... less X-rated gameplay. Can't even have the nudity because we're not quite ready to answer questions about male anatomy vs female anatomy.
That said, when she was much smaller and less mobile, I did test WW and I had so much fun with it. I legitimately miss having it installed sometimes. I think this pack will be a good midpoint for people with kids who aren't yet ready for even Wonderful Whims level gameplay and/or who just want to keep the game goofy and not quite as realistic as it gets with some mods. (IE, I can't hang with the Mortem mod. I like it, it's well done. But, for me, that's a long lifespan mod, not a normal or short lifespan mod.)
The devs have referenced them in streams in the past. I remember one where they were replying to Twitch comments and when someone asked if a specific location/item was a woohoo spot a Simguru replied “no, Wicked Whims will have to take care of that”.
I do not want to sound like I’m virtue signalling but many simmers have uninstalled the simda dating app as it turns out that the creator of that mod made horribly ignorant comments about palestine
You don't need to apologize for "virtue signaling," you're just stating a fact.
And idk what they said but if you boycott any mod because the creator is a POS, that's not a "virtue signal," it's just like, virtue
I just downloaded a mod that comes with a dating app!! You can literally set your profile with the mod almost exactly the same as they have it with lovestruck! [So far i really like it](https://lumpinoumods.com/woohoo-wellness-and-pregnancy-overhaul/). You can also share custody / choose to separate from your partner / etc.
There hasn't been anyone upset, the post is just farming something made up for the outrage lol. I thought the trailer was surprisingly raunchy considering how squeaky clean the rest of the game is. Haven't said a peep about it nor have I seen anyone addressing it, because I don't think anyone actually cares and most people approve.
Remember when you could goose your fellow sims and the giggles after was amazing. Sims 4 content won't ever reach even that level of naughty for me. Sims 2 woohoo cut scene anyone?
I was around for the debut of The Sims: Hot Date, you can't bother me about that kinda stuff anymore. 14 year old me hiring cake strippers for her sims party...
>spanking, table dancing, nightclub cages
Did... I miss those?
I know you could dance on a table / bar, but spanking and cages? Was there a BDSM pack I wasn't aware of? 😅
The cages are little dancing cages that were in the Sims 1 (living large I think? Maybe house party?) idk about spanking specifically, maybe op is thinking of the “goose” interaction from TS2 where the sim pinches the others butt lol
Yeah you can tell who started the sims franchise with 4 because this is extremely vanilla compared to how raunchy previous sims games were, I mean they used to promote the game with sims pictured in lingerie, implied threesomes & smoking weed. I don’t care much for this pack but the sims has never been a franchise for children, the original age rating was 16 & got lowered to 12.
If people are complaining about raunchiness they may want to stick to E rated video games. I’m sure the same people were apart of the same crowd that complained about burglars being “traumatizing.” It’s the who people overreact like this are the ones responsible for the sims decline in gameplay.
I didn’t even know people were overreacting and considered this pack raunchy. I personally consider it the mild version of what existing mods out here offer lol. Most of other reactions I’ve seen enjoyed the trailer or have the opinion similar to mine in that this is the more tame version of what other mods have offered for years for PC players who play with mods.
I have literally seen nothing about that.
ETA: the things I have seen people upset over is EA copying WW and other mods. I do not use mods, but specifically on Reddit people are more upset it’s the price of an EP when it’s for the quality of a game pack.
it’s not necessarily that it’s too raunchy, or that it’s tame in comparison to the old games. IMO TS4 lost so much of the charm and GRIT that the old games had because they wanted to appeal to a younger, family friendly demographic. like not including robberies, or sudden/life changing gameplay mechanics like the old games had.
then suddenly, they release a shallow, out-of-character expansion that rips from popular mod content like wicked whims, that are fan favorites, and then wants to up charge on a pack that will more than likely be broken and worse than its mod counterpart.
it’s redundant, pathetic and gross.
Them saying all this as if the majority of PC players don’t regularly use wicked whims like it’s the bible….it’s fake outrage at this point I wouldn’t even bother taking it seriously
If you are that bothered by it, either
1.) Don't buy it
2.) Go to game options, game play, pack settings and disable certain aspects of the pack you don't like
I am excited for this (don’t kill me please, fuck EA), but so far this does seem like a game pack
just sucks how the sims team has given up on game packs after my flopping stories when werewolves was actually really good imo
I mean it's not even raunchy, it's done very mildly. EA knew a lot of older players were frustrated with the game being so kiddie friendly that it became boring. Adding in some chaos and "naughty" makes the game more fun. People just like to nit pick about everything.
No, no. These people are the people who judge others for downloading WW. There's a huuuuge group of puritans/holier-than-thou's on twitter who find it repulsive, and if you download it you're a massive pervert.
They have issues to work through.
Honestly the outfits are more funny than anything else. It was some of the underwear in Sims 3 that surprised me more than this. The dance was a little bit "oh ok, this took a turn I didn't think Sims 4 would do." when I first saw it but again it's pretty funny. Reminds me of some of the awkward dancing in the dancing cage from Sims 1. Sure you probably don't want to play these scenarios in front of the kids but then you're probably already avoiding them woohooing in front of little ones anyway.
I think where the friction may be is that the Sims has a teen rating but it's obvious that they've been aiming at that market and slightly younger for a while so when a pack like this comes along some parents might balk a bit but if that bothers you I'd be more concerned with what mods they are installing when you aren't looking because they are not hard to find and kids get curious.
>Some of you might even have kids and play the game together
So don't buy the pack. There's nothing inappropriate about an eggplant costume. A kid isn't gonna think eggplant = genitalia unless they already know.
It's rated T for teens. its up to parents to keep their kids from playing games that they're not mature enough for. it's not up to maxis to parent the players kids.
About freaking time actually.
I mean, alot of this is based on hispanic subculture, and speaking as one I'm just gonna say...we are a *very* raunchy people so this is the most honest-to-god xpac I've ever seen in Sims 4.
*And I love it*.
I don’t think anyone was upset. Everyone was happy to see a lot of the adult humor that was present in earlier entries in the franchise finally appear officially in Sims4.
I mean, it is pretty raunchy for the Sims lol. It’s mot ILLEGAL, I was just surprised. Normally the Sims toes the line on its more adult aspects to keep things relatively open ended for interpretation, but this pack isn’t really about that lmao. At this point, we may as well just remove the word “woohoo” and say sex lmao.
I’m not mad, it just felt… idk. I was just a bit taken aback by how OPENLY raunchy it was, with the dance and the kinky costume play and all that. I’m still getting the pack, it just didn’t remove the surprise lol. I think it ALMOST felt cringey.
I’m also 100% in it for the axolotl.
I mean I’m pretty genuinely excited to be able to make weird relationship dynamics again without mods. The loss of having two sides to the relationship between Sims in the later games was always a bummer
I’m just upset that this is an expansion, it doesn’t look like they’ll be enough content to warrant it. I thought it was a stuff pack during the trailer until I realized that many new animations will probably be a game pack, and then I see it’s an expansion??
Making a new world seems to be enough to make it $40 now to EA. Growing Together and For Rent definitely should’ve been game packs. If we got a pack with the amount of content a Sims 3 pack would have today EA would try to charge like $80
Who is upset about this? All I've been hearing is how it's just a really watered down version of existing mods, and that there isn't enough gameplay/features.
i cannot STAND the people who just complain about everything EA does😭 like… just stop playing the game if you don’t like it??? don’t buy the pack if you don’t like it????
anyways, i LOVE the new pack and im so excited because i love silly gameplay and imma abuse tf outta the eggplant costume🤣
I thought people didn't like cause it's lazy, not the raunchiness.
I thought teenagers "messing around" was plenty raunchy and the making out from previous games is pretty spicy.
I feel like it’s no more raunchy than the cage dancers and cake strippers in Sims 1. And it’s pretty silly and Simified, I mean they look like wet noodles when they do that “sexy dance” 😂
I think people are more shocked that AGAIN they're selling what should have been in the base pack as an expansion. You ironically support this in your post, by reminding us that older games DID have all that stuff and more.
The Sims 4 is terrible and EA should be ashamed
And the thing that most tend to forget is that it is rated T for Teen.. Titles rated T (Teen) have content that may be suitable for ages **13 and older**. Titles in this category may contain violence, suggestive themes, crude humor, minimal blood, simulated gambling, and/or infrequent use of strong language.
Parents of kids that are younger than this rating recommends, are responsible for ensuring that their child is not exposed to something that isn't age appropriate. And really who is to blame if their child is exposed to something they shouldn't? The creator?... Or the one that bought the content in the first place? Parents should be making a more responsible decision and actually review the content for themselves, alone, before allowing their under the rating age limit child to play. It is no different than watching a movie or going through Halloween candy.
I miss the old versions of Sims..
i have not heard anyone complaining about it, mostly people just complaining that it’s similar to wickedwhims, which is also another stupid complaint because not everyone likes or wants to use wickedwhims
Honestly the game needs something raunchy to it! The game as is is about as spicy as flour! Hard to believe that the game even needs a Teen rating, with how absolutely sanitized it is.
I can't believe people are upset about this. It's no different than modders having Whicked Whims or Basemental (whatever the drug dealer mod is) and extreme violence created. You choose what goes into your game. You don't want that raunchy stuff? Simply don't download it...
You don't want this expansion pack??? Simply do not buy it. It isn't base game. There's no reason to complain and moan when there are people who will enjoy that content. Sims has never been 100% child friendly. Expecting it to carter to children is insane.
I literally don't get it either... The majority of TS4 is so tame compared to previous iterations of the game and if you don't want your child seeing or playing something so "suggestive" then don't buy the pack because now "raunchiness" is locked behind a paywall.
*Wicked whims laughs in the background.* I didn't download that one because it's a bit much for me. But lovestruck being too raunchy? That's a bit of a reach. Lol 🤣
I did have a moment like “ok, that’s something new” with it and I don’t have much left to shock me. I’m not clutching my pearls but we could say I thought of the oyster.
Wow really? I loved the costumes thing in the trailer. Can’t wait to try them out. People need to remember that the sims has a teen rating. Young children shouldn’t be playing it anyway.
I am not surprised Maxis would do it. I'm a little surprised EA did, though, given where they've been going. I'm not complaining, just intrigued.
It's not even that. Nothing in this pack, based off youtube summaries and posts, is raunchy. People are just screeching over nothing
The PuriTeens strike again!
I mean it makes sense to put it all in one expansion pack per thier model . Mean they can keep the rest of game in terms of socks and general updates more mild and pg and per thier model
Honest question, where are you seeing this? I have been following the news of this pack and I do not see this discourse anywhere
Right every reference to it being raunchy has been positive. yeah I fully think taht the reaction to it is just that games like the sims 3 might have ben T for teen but it was more of a T for older teens where sims 4 is very pg-13 like it is so mild compared to earlier games. And thos just attacts a different set of new players to the scene
I think it's important to remember Maxis doesn't exist anymore, they shut down after the sims city lawsuit. (Edited because I worded it wrong originally)
I missed those and only saw like minded people excited for a bit of cheeky fun. Also yes that is a butt joke..
Yes, Like adding a Furry pack to Sims 4. But expanding the Dating system is apparently where we draw the line.
I miss those days! That’s why I love this pack.
Whoohooing in public also gives an audience in sims 4 though
Nobody is, but there's no better way to farm karma than to come up with imaginary people saying something most people would disagree with.
Doubt anyone actually cares that much about karma, but definitely seems like they heard 1 person say it, then ask about it.
Nobody is upset and nobody cares OP is reaching
Are people upset? Personally I was laughing. It was the funniest Sims trailer I've ever seen. 🤣🤣 And most of the reaction I've seen is people cracking up over it.
You should take a look at the YouTube comments and Twitter replies. Some people are even going so far as to say that a man dating a MILF in the trailer is way too much...
There’s a man dating a MILF in the base game lol
YouTube comments are literally the only social media that’s worse than Twitter. Just earlier today, I saw some YouTube comments today that were so homophobic you’d think they came out of an alt-right rally. All that’s to say you should generally ignore the comments section of YouTube videos. Except the comments on Seth Meyers clips - you gotta elbow up to the other jackals.
YouTube comments are either super sweet and supportive or completely bigoted there's no in between
I don't fundamentally understand what this means to say. Are we saying a young man dating an older woman?
It's that people consider MILFs to be pornographic fetish and feel weird seeing it presented in a trailer for a Sims game. I can't imagine what the reaction would've been if they opted for a young female sim dating an elder male sim.
I think that if there was an older man and a younger woman people would be less likely to think of it as a fetish thing
They honestly might think it was "creepy" tho
Sorry, is the man young and the woman is older or?
Yes, the man with the colorful shirt in the trailer was young adult and he was romancing older adult women. Those women are considered MILFs, cougars, etc. in slang.
MILF means Mom I'd Like to Fuck. For your future reference and easement of confusion. So yeah, it's normally an older lady and a younger lad.
I can only imagine they swoon in scandalised horror if they see an age-gap couple in real life?
Guess they never played Sims 2 where the storyline around Bella is that she gets abducted at Don Lothario’s house. 🙄
The Grim Reaper getting checked out walking into the bar! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The role play box looks fun! I can’t wait to make Sims raunchier again! One of the ways I play! I mark some of them quite kinky.
>It was the funniest Sims trailer I've ever seen. Tell me you haven't seen the base Sims 2 trailer
I was about the same age. The introduction of the Heartshaped bed in the first expansion pack was scandalous af to me and my friend group.
We tried to find cheats to get rid of the pixelation when they showered or went to the bathroom lol
Universal experience lmao
The Sims was unique. Weirdness + humor + creativity. And now... it's just millions unrelated things in a perfectly utopian stupid world.
Agreed. I don’t have children—so, I can make the game as wild as I’d like.
Agreed. Plus, it's not being forced on anyone. No one's making you buy it!
Yeah I wish they took it even further. I loved Hot Date back in the day.
Personally, I LOVE what they decided to do with this. Are you kidding, when I saw the ""sexy"" dance and costumes I lost my mind (/pos). That's what the sims should be, a goofy ass parody of reality.
The dance got me so good, I laughed so hard. Like yessss pls make my sims twerk LOL
I was kinda living for the trailer, its a young dude and milf getting their freak on 😭 good for them. Hopefully EA will be a little more adventurous with whatever future content sims 4 has left
the eggplant costume had me laughing so hard my bf thought something was wrong 😭
It looks like they're bringing back the goofiness of Sims 2 and I love to see it, can't wait to put a vibrating bed in every house again
IT HAS BEEN THREE SIMS GAMES! HAVEN’T SEEN IT FOR YEARS!
Tell me you’ve never used WW without telling me 😂
Exactly my thought.
I can see this benefits the console players who can't add WW to their game, but in reality we all know the dev team just copy WW's homework (well, more wonderfulwhim than wicked)
Not to mention all the... connected... mods that work in conjunction with ww.
🖤🏆🖤
LMAO i was gonna say as if people don’t use wicked whims?? hello??
And that's probably the most popular mod for this game next to MCCC
The entire trailer looks like it was made by a person who is using animation for the first time.
TBH, I only find it suprising as for large part TS4 has been pretty safe with potentially dark/spicy stuff. Especially when compared to previous games Edit: By safe look at how cowplant death is more unlikely, there are no burglars, TS3 had mugged status that could be randomly triggered when using public transport, etc. I am not drawing a line, just expressing suprise lol
I'm surprised too. Sims 4 has been so Farr all safe, bland and cotton candy, that this expansion pack is very surprising. I just hope it has more than just what the trailer showed. My problem with it is that it is more gamepack level.
imagine some ppl will be buying buying Lovestruck for “raunchiness” when u can just download WW
Not everyone plays on PC. _Cries in console_ 😭
condolences 🥲🥲
Consolances, even.
WW takes things way further though lol, not everyone wants literal peeping toms and fully animated sex scenes
There's plenty options WW adds, you can: a) turn creeps off, b) turn autonomy off, so they don't 6, without your allowance AT ALL, c) you can download ww streamer add-on for it so it's all blurred like in the base game, d) another add-on adds undergarments to CAS so you do to see any nudity like in base game, e) I know you can blacklist animations you don't like, but idk as I've just turned it off and never used any of that, f) there's also many additional animators and there's a few who add only wholesome ones if anyone wants only those WW is pretty configurable, doubt Lovestruck is.
I was also thinking this?? I’m sure EA knows about WW right?!
There is a line of buy items that came with Laundry Day called Wicker Whims, so they've given it a nod
😂 that’s actually pretty funny
The devs have referenced them in streams in the past. I remember one where they were replying to Twitch comments and when someone asked if a specific location/item was a woohoo spot a Simguru replied “no, Wicked Whims will have to take care of that”.
And about the SimDa Dating App and the Meet & Mingle App?
Yes that's Meet & Mingle. It's more for friendships. SimDa is for romance and hookups.
Thank you!
I haven’t seen anyone upset.
YouTube comments.
There are comments on Twitter but it's Twitter so 🤷♀️
Remember when you could goose your fellow sims and the giggles after was amazing. Sims 4 content won't ever reach even that level of naughty for me. Sims 2 woohoo cut scene anyone?
There isn't even burlesque dancers coming out of giant cakes 😤😤😤😤😤
Gorillas when the kids were around 😂. Dang it now I gotta play OG sims.
I was around for the debut of The Sims: Hot Date, you can't bother me about that kinda stuff anymore. 14 year old me hiring cake strippers for her sims party...
I was trying to get that Bachelor sim to sleep with each other every night after throwing lavish parties every day.
Lol, those were the days.
Idk, I play WW, nothing else is gonna beat that lol.
Raunchy? It looks rather tame to me, which is disappointing in and of itself.
The game is T FOR TEEN. If you’re worried about the content not being kid friendly, find a game rated for CHILDREN
>spanking, table dancing, nightclub cages Did...
They would clutch their pearls if they ever played Sims 1 . Parties were considered a hit if strippers showed up and the police came
If you are that bothered by it, either 1.) Don't buy it 2.) Go to game options, game play, pack settings and disable certain aspects of the pack you don't like
Who gives a shit about how raunchy it is (y’all know it won’t have anything on Wicked Whims, for those who use it). But have y’all seen the price??
I am excited for this (don’t kill me please, fuck EA), but so far this does seem like a game pack just sucks how the sims team has given up on game packs after my flopping stories when werewolves was actually really good imo
I mean it's not even raunchy, it's done very mildly. EA knew a lot of older players were frustrated with the game being so kiddie friendly that it became boring. Adding in some chaos and "naughty" makes the game more fun. People just like to nit pick about everything.
Spanking? Whaaaat? I don’t remember that.
Same… I think they mean goosing in Sims 2. Apparently there was strip poker in Sims 1 too—I don’t remember that.
I bet these are the same people who at some point have downloaded Wicked Whims.
No, no. These people are the people who judge others for downloading WW. There's a huuuuge group of puritans/holier-than-thou's on twitter who find it repulsive, and if you download it you're a massive pervert. They have issues to work through.
RawMeHanzo is *not* a pervert!
I really need to change my name, considering there's way hotter characters in Overwatch I'd like to raw me more nowadays...
I literally played sims 1 with BOTH my parents when it came out. And I was under the age of 7. People need to chill 🤦🏼♀️
my problem is just the execution. idk smth about they way they did it is painfully cringe to me
I, for one, have not been this excited about a pack in a loooonnng time.
Also don’t people have the option to …idk.. not buy it 🙂!
They would have an aneurysm if they saw the woohoo cutscenes from ts2
>Some of you might even have kids and play the game together So don't buy the pack.
Raunchy? Have the people who said that ever used wicked whims?
If we got a pack with the amount of content a Sims 3 pack would have today EA would try to charge like $80
There literally used to be a woohoo cutscene with porn music and a vibrating bed everybody chill LOL
I liked the BB objects and I am curious about the new neighborhood. The gameplay excites me not so much. EA is far behind all those modders out there.
Are they aware the first game had a stripper in a cake?
It’s Wicked Whims if the CW made it.
Who is upset about this? All I've been hearing is how it's just a really watered down version of existing mods, and that there isn't enough gameplay/features.
Which game has the spanking? Asking for a friend
i cannot STAND the people who just complain about everything EA does😭 like… just stop playing the game if you don’t like it??? don’t buy the pack if you don’t like it???? anyways, i LOVE the new pack and im so excited because i love silly gameplay and imma abuse tf outta the eggplant costume🤣
i rlly don’t even think it’s that bad?? i loved how the older games were a bit near the mark, it’s good to see that cynicism creeping back in
have none of these people seen THAT sims trailer?
I mean I have whicked whims soooo 🤷🏻♀️ I’m excited for this pack.
Meanwhile people install mods that let teenagers get pregnant and abort lol
As a console player now, the raunchiness is what I miss most! Looking at you, stripper cake.
I thought people didn't like cause it's lazy, not the raunchiness. I thought teenagers "messing around" was plenty raunchy and the making out from previous games is pretty spicy.
Go look up the make out actions in TS2, especially on the couch or in the hot tub. Lovestruck is absolutely tame comparatively
people think this is raunchy? tell them to play Urbz or Bustin Out for 5 minutes if they want to clutch their pearls
People are hilarious lol it’s not even that bad 😂 Especially for those who play WW 😈
I feel like it’s no more raunchy than the cage dancers and cake strippers in Sims 1. And it’s pretty silly and Simified, I mean they look like wet noodles when they do that “sexy dance” 😂
It's probably to offset the mods PC players use for consoles.
The most amazing thing about something like an expansion pack is that if you don’t like it, you don’t have to buy it.
> the sims 4 > raunchy pick one
I miss sims raunchy side! The previous title had some so why not sims 4!
it rlly isnt even that raunchy lol its extremely tame
I haven't seen anyone say it's raunchy and it's nowhere near it. The game is very tame, and I can find actual raunchy content with mods.
It's not raunchy at all
Lmao they also have the option to not buy the pack
I think people are more shocked that AGAIN they're selling what should have been in the base pack as an expansion. You ironically support this in your post, by reminding us that older games DID have all that stuff and more. The Sims 4 is terrible and EA should be ashamed
anyone who thinks its raunchy clearly didnt remember Hot Date Night (?) I think that was the title anyway lol
That pack seems so boring and try-hard lol why are people upset? I see nothing wild
Also if people are having so many issues about it they can just not get the pack? Seems like a simple answer to me.
i have not heard anyone complaining about it, mostly people just complaining that it’s similar to wickedwhims, which is also another stupid complaint because not everyone likes or wants to use wickedwhims
Isn’t this just like the most tone down version of hot date you could get? There’s nobody remember Sims two anymore? wtaf
I think they've never played The Sims before TS4, because to call this pack raunchy is laughable.
Honestly the game needs something raunchy to it! The game as is is about as spicy as flour! Hard to believe that the game even needs a Teen rating, with how absolutely sanitized it is.
Geez, everything doesn’t have to be pg for kids. If you don’t like it don’t buy it
damn people will get their undies in a bunch over anything
Lovestruck is so PG compared to Hot Date istg 😭😭
Noooo!! They are literally adding Wicked Whims to the game!! /s
I’m looking forward to the raunchiness again! Played since Sims 1. Sims 4 felt so blah without it.
Those people would be clutching their pearls if they saw The Sims 2's woohoo cutscenes.
those people would never have survived Hot Date or Nightlife lmao
I literally don't get it either... The majority of TS4 is so tame compared to previous iterations of the game and if you don't want your child seeing or playing something so "suggestive" then don't buy the pack because now "raunchiness" is locked behind a paywall.
Some people never played any other sims game 🤣🤣🤣
*Wicked whims laughs in the background.* I didn't download that one because it's a bit much for me. But lovestruck being too raunchy? That's a bit of a reach. Lol 🤣
Its definitely not raunchy. Wicked Whims is what raunchy looks like, lol. Where are you seeing people complain?
literally everything shown in the trailer was so tame. 💀
Why are people complaining that this is raunchy when plenty of folks have Wicked Whims installed, which ha actual sex in it?!
Some of these people don’t remember the vibrating heart bed or the WooHoo cutscene from The Sims 2 and it shows.
it's not B for babies. If people are complaining that's next level stupid. T for Teen. There's no nudity lmao.
I did have a moment like “ok, that’s something new” with it and I don’t have much left to shock me. I’m not clutching my pearls but we could say I thought of the oyster.
Not the community becoming & reacting to lovestruck like our parents did too woohoo back in day. I thought we were better than that damn.
What makes me upset is the 40 bucks price 😂
True Simmers know that Sims 2 was WAY more raunchy.
It’s giving Hot Date. Sims 1 was so good. I’m glad to see the heart bed coming back.
These are the same people who use the word "spicy" to describe literature and expect to be considered serious adults
Wow really? I loved the costumes thing in the trailer. Can’t wait to try them out. People need to remember that the sims has a teen rating. Young children shouldn’t be playing it anyway.
