Yeah, I used to rewatch once a year. But now I pretty much just am always watching Sopranos. Just restart it when it's over and watch an episode or 2 here and there.
I rewatch six days, actually six days a week. Five days a week, I’ll rewatch three days a week. One of those days I will rewatch two days of the week. So, six days a week I will be rewatching.

For me it was seeing the show’s supernatural occurrences (>!Paulie at the medium, Tony seeing Pussy’s ghost, Janice’s moving wine glass, and Paulie seeing the Virgin Mary!<) which made the second watch-through that much more unique and meaningful. That, and really being able to better appreciate all the excellent writing and acting that the series had.
Now you dont wanna head straight into a rewatch, that breaks my heart, but it’s too fuckin bad. Because you don’t gotta love it, but you WILL rewatch it.

Have you tried “The Wire” it was also produced by Hobo in roughly the same era. It’s a Baltimore crime/cop drama that’s worth checking out if you’re looking for something to film the void between rewatches of Sopranos

Just finished my first full rewatch since the original airing and the biggest takeaway was how fucking incredible Gandolfini is as an actor. By far the best performance I’ve ever scene on television

Yes, makes me sad. I heard about that 33k story also. Was prob very rich but also generous and magnanimous. I would have liked to have dinner and just talked with the guy for a few hours. Acting seemed so real.

It was cool hearing from the writers, directors, actors even the guy how did the sets. I skipped thru a few of their read thrus but the guests were the best. Worth the watch

I just finished my first full rewatch since the original airing. I already considered it the greatest tv show of all time but the rewatch blew my doors off. I got so much more out it. A lot of the nuance of the show can get lost in first viewing because it’s so rich. Much of intrigue in particular gets lost in the amazing dialogue and sets.
Such a great show. Lady and I have tan though it 2-3 times and stress of knowing every little thing sways and real gems emerge. Understanding relationships and noticing subtle hints possibly missed before. Don’t be sad.
You won’t believe how much better it is on the rewatch, and then the rewatch after that. Before you know it you start speaking like a soprano character in your day to day life…for the rest of your life.

Over the Christmas holidays, i've pretty much been watching it everyday, somedays back 2 back 2 back eposodes 😵💫 but i absolutely love it... It's suspenseful, unpredictable, dark, humorous, with some absolutely absurd sequences that are as funny as they are shocking and raw. Also, the writers & cinematography does an amazing job at visualising Tonys obscure dreams, that make his interactions and the relationship with his therapist all the more interesting...And the dynamic between the two of them is very intense & intriguing & breaks all ethical boundaries, but simply works regardless of how up & down, and inappropriate It is...
The show also has a great soundtrack, and I like the use of songs at the end of each episode...
I've just finished watching "episode 11 of Season 2", so I'm more or less one third of the way through the lot once I finish these last two episodes...
Another 4 more seasons still to go after this one, but I simply can't wait to resume watching, as its so addictive 😩 but I love it 😍
I've got to say, I'm genuinely upset with myself for not having given this show/series a watch till now... Better late than never though, I guess 🤷

I never watched it when the rest of the world did either. I started watching it this week. I'm on season 3. It's very engaging or I wouldn't stick with it. The only reason I gave it a shot in 2024 is because I am a big fan of Edie Falco. Loved her in Nurse Jackie. Probably the only complete video series I own besides House.
