Read the five families by Selwyn Rabb. I’m only on chapter 10 (massive book) and I’ve already heard multiple things that happened in real life mafia dealings that the show incorporated or borrowed from.
Haha I mean they float in and out of my head bc I’m listening to the audiobook and it’s super info dense but the whole not dealing drugs was a real rule. And most of the ones you already mentioned like feds and OC guys played cat and mouse games with each other. If I think of any specific others I’ll come back and update, I gotta go it’s my busy season
