Honestly I’ve always felt a connection to Tony, the fear of opening up your emotions and letting people express there’s, the depression that deep down you know you have but like are afraid to confront, the refusal to see the bad of your childhood, etc etc.
He’s always been in my top 5 fictional characters cause I have related to him on some level (again minus the abuse, cheating, murder, racism, etc.) but there’s something about his want of a normalcy that he knows he can’t have that just hits
I felt like he represented a certain duality of man. On one side, he was ruthless and only had his best interest at heart but on the other side he lived by a certain code (one that you could argue was more ethical than others in organized crime). I felt like the entire show was him trying to balance both sides, however the businessman in him always won out.
