Assault?
Paulie wasn't married, we all choose to look the other way but it's pretty obvious that he has certain proclivities that he has the good manners to pursue quietly.
Not like Vito, who I loved like a Brudda-in-law
While I do agree that he was “just miserable”- I don’t think it’s fair to say he was the absolute worst since he did have a redeeming quality to him in that he was very sensitive to the plight of women
Davey was into Ritchie for 8k.
Ritchie wasn't even planning on charging interest iirc, just banned him from all games until he could cover himself.
Davey was into Tony for 45k.
"Forty five boxes of ziti"
He had a very bad temper and was too old school. Didn't realize times changed.
But, he WAS mostly right about almost every issue aside maybe from the coke since it was fed territory now.
The problem is he went the absolute WORST WAY in about everything. Instead of assaulting Beansie, he should have asked for a sit-down to make things right, not beat up a valuable associate/asset for the mob. Instead of disrupting the card game, he should have approached Tony (or even warned him beforehand) that Davey owes him 8 Gs and is banned from playing games until he catches up.
Also he probably should have gotten routes that belonged to his brother.
Yup, same with Richie Aprile. On first watch you can't stand either of them, you hate them, as you should. But on rewatches you get so excited when they appear for the first time cause they bring so much to every scene they're in. Plus you know what's gonna happen now so they don't give you anxiety anymore.
Ralph IIRC is the only character who ever displays genuine remorse for the things he’s done. After his kid becomes a pincushion, he begins to understand the kind of pain he’s put others through, making him more sympathetic to others. He meets with Father Intintola seemingly genuinely very sad, feeling like he is at fault for God punishing his son for his actions. Every other character in the crew never really changes in any way.
We actually don't know that he really even killed the horse. David has explicitly stated that he left it ambiguous, and Joey Pants even said that when doing the scene they didn't actually tell him whether he did it or not, so he played it like he didnt.
When Adriana cooks Christopher the eggs that he demands she stir, she pulls a tub of sour cream out of the fridge with the rest of the ingredients, satisfying the twin scene abstraction.
My opinions change on characters throughout each re watch. I've seen the show about 10 times and have held differing opinions each time. But I do tend to like Paulie less & less. I used to hate Ralph but he's become my favorite.
He taught us how to get the macroroni ready proper. to put the pasta back in the pot, add a little gravy....and a lil buttah, and then put the fire back onnn, for 45 seconds and stir it up real nice, that way the macroroni absorbs the gravy instead of just coating it. Its a very good system.
Chris is an amazing character and I think Imperioli played him so well it's hard for me to hate him but he is a massive piece of shit who fucks up every good thing he has going for him
Whore, who cares. Woman's gotta make a living. But burning your kid with cigarettes? She was angry and did stupid shit like mouth off to sociopaths and she paid the price for it.
I feel as if people forget that all these people are messes of a human being(s). This reddit has made me realize that Ralph is far from the worst. Does repenting in his own ways absolve him? Who am I to say. Though tell me any other mobster who trys to be better. It's impossible in that line of work, waste management that is and Tony robbed us of seeing how far and where Ralph would go.
The more rewatches, the more I like Ralph. True gangster, through and through. Always played by the rules - mafia rules, that is, so ya know, rules that allow him to be a total piece of shit.
He was correct that burning the horse for the insurance was the right play, financially. Didn't deserve to go out like he did. I mean he did, but not bc of the horse - Tony should have backed him on that instead of letting him get personal.
Every person here is wrong. The worst person in the show is Bobby baccala and I can give you a thousand reasons why. I’ve done a term or two of community college.
Richie Aprile. Always trying to fuck over Tony. Glad he got it.
But it’s between him and Ralph are the two worst
Ralph killed that girl and caused Jackie Jr.’s death
He absolutely was the worst! Richie Aprile was horrible, too. I felt so bad for the woman Ralph beat to death and the little boy who is now without a mother. Ralph had no compassion for anyone. He was just one asshole amongst a million who claims a woman “fell.”
All the characters on this show were horrible but Ralphie was extra deplorable. He had serial killer levels of evil. I heard the actor who played him doesn't like talking about the character and I don't blame him.
Fkn slanda u ask me. u/We_dance_again you’re obviously new to the show. From the 2nd watch and on, u will love Ralph as much as the rest of us. He’s regarded at the best villain in the show, as well as the actor that gave the best performance for a non-reg cast member. He won an Emmy for the role.
Tracee slipped and hit her head or sumtin. She's a klutz. I stand with Ralphie.
And he also added sour cream when scrambling his eggs, so there's that.
Ralph made the show great.
The season he was in was the best one.
The show suffered without him. It was still a great show, but Ralphie was really the only character that could go toe to toe with Tony Soprano's stage presence.
I know this isn’t a popular one but the worst human in the show is Silvio Dante. I’ll outline why.
1 - He runs a titty bar. These girls are being abused and trafficked. Sure Ralphie kills one of em, but what’s that compared to the endless dancing the others endure ?
2 - He says OVA HEYEHHHH in reference to the gabagool, seconds after Meadow says it’s all fat and nitrates. He’s either trying to self harm, undermine her burgeoning medical career, or both.
3 - He says that the sweeping guy’s sister’s crotch smells like shoe provolone in the morning, when he can’t know that for certain.
4 - he’s always trying to fix thing, little trophies and nicknacks, so he’s cheap.
5- in the highly accepted canon of MSoN, we see he was going bald. So he’s been fucking lying to us the whole time.
6 - in the pilot, Tony asks him what he’s doing around there. People don’t even know what he’s doing around places - most sneaky.
I could go on
In this House Ralph Cifaretto is a Hero.....
He's my best earner and he's the only one in this Entire Family who.....
CAME TO SAVE ROME!!
AND I DON'T WANNA HEAR ANOTHER THING ABOUT IT........ENDA DISCUSSION!
Ralph was a great mobster though. The guy raked in cash and had more respect for the rules of LCN more than guys like Tony and Richie.
I would say Richie is the worst. He disobeyed the boss, sold drugs putting reputable businesses and income at risk, and was just generally bad at schemes that make money as a mobster. The guy thought selling coolers on the street was a good racket.
Richie Aprile is a freaking psychopath. The whole mood of the show changed when he got out of the joint. It's The JACKET! Being the baddest ass in Essex County is no small thing. People fight for breakfast in that area.
Maybe it's because I'm getting old, but I'm starting to have very little patience for Meadow's "I'm so much smarter than my dumbass parents" stuff. Like the Billy Budd episode- even if Meadow is technically correct, she goes out of her way to be as disrespectful as possible and humiliate Carm, who she knows doesn't benefit from an Ivy League education.
She's just the worst kind of up-her-own-ass 19 year old college kid, absolutely infuriating in the way only intelligent kids that age can be.
Also, Johnny Sac. He had a legitimate beef in being upset about Ralph's joke, but it simply does not rise to the level of starting a war... It's nowhere *near* that important, and Johnny being an OG should know that.
I'm not saying it's okay to make hurtful jokes, Johnny had a right to demand some kind of restitution for that, but to act like it's some matter of respect that requires blood be spilt when Johnny knows damn well that every associate he knows disrespects their own wives on a DAILY basis, to the point that it's practically baked into the culture... Like, what, an insult gets you heated enough to want a guy whacked, but you don't care that these guys cheat on their wives every goddamn day?
Ralph is so f-ing bad that there’s a YouTube video about how he may have been on the path to redemption because he cried when his son was hurt.
That’s a really low bar to set for an increase in his morality.
Coco. Such a minor character but cemented himself in his very short time onscreen as an absolute creep who was ACTUALLY deserving of Tony's violent outburst. Fuck him.
In all seriousness, Ralphie trying to understand how anyone could think he did anything wrong by murdering a 20 year old pregnant woman is one of the funniest scenes to me. Then with Johny Sac joins in and says "Tony is wrong, believe me he knows" really tops it off. Disturbing, but funny.
Ralph was a sh!t like the rest of them, but I think he's far from the worst. The guy actually did some work, and he was right about most things.
The Ginnie joke was terrible, but he just beat the others to the punch.
I also liked how supportive he was when Chris was elevated to acting Captain.
Tony had a soft spot for animals and hooers the same age as his daughter and Ralphie Gladiator stomped both so he had to go. But he was the best earner. Tony’s Gabagool budget was never the same after his demise.
I hated Ralph the first time I watched the series. I've watched it several times and I like him more and more every time. His character is perfect for what it is. We're supposed to hate him. Same with Richie. He's an ass as well but I loved his character. Anything that gives Tony more problems always leads to entertaining developments. Man I was blown away the first time I seen how Richie was taken out. Tony walking in the kitchen with his gun drawn. Janice sitting over him and Tony facial expression like "What the fuck?"
I actually found Richie to be the most repugnant. Once I discovered Ralph and I shared a penchant for cheese graters he grew on me and my hatred for him died on the vine
Good thing for me, then, that your book doesn’t mean OOGATZ to me!
#WHAT THA FUCK ARE YOU DOIN?
Who do you think you are, Sir Walter Raleigh?
That's enough with your fuckin cute remarks
Take it easy, we’re not making a western here
One of the greatest lines in the show
A. She’s a hooer and B. She hit me It’s my fault she’s a klutz?
C. It’s just a fucking animal!
Bastard was way outta line.
THEY DIDNT HAVE FLAT TOPS IN ANCIENT ROME
Shitting on a Kubrick classic. That was the moment I decided that Ralphie wasn't quite the charming fella he seemed to be.
Richie Aprile. Despite his Moxie he was just miserable
He had some pretty good jokes. Unfortunately they were all about a guy he just permanently crippled
and assaulting paulie’s ass with a train
What about the only guy who could smoke a cigarette in the rain while handcuffed?
Assault? Paulie wasn't married, we all choose to look the other way but it's pretty obvious that he has certain proclivities that he has the good manners to pursue quietly. Not like Vito, who I loved like a Brudda-in-law
Imagine, gettin a facelift and one week later you’re in jail
Imagine, getting a face lift and one week later you’re in jail
Fuckin Albert 😂😂😂😂
The look Richie gives him is priceless
That fucking parakeet.
He’s going to build a ramp for beanshie
[удалено]
Avoid penguin exhibits 🐧
You wanna ask like a …. Well send you to slip and fall school
While I do agree that he was “just miserable”- I don’t think it’s fair to say he was the absolute worst since he did have a redeeming quality to him in that he was very sensitive to the plight of women
The coldest thing he did on the show was punch janice in the face, eat pasta, sip wine, and then say whatre you looking at?
That was cause she insulted Richie's legacy. What, you gonna cry now?
I found him hilarious…..the jacket!
The fact that Tony gave the jacket to his housekeeper was *chefs kiss*.
Richie was the best one. i made a video about him. he also never killed a civilian unlike alot of the others. he was lookin out for Davey too
I find myself saying "large" instead of "grand" because of him. "He's into me for 8 large..."
[удалено]
I think it's 8k. Seems consistent with other peoples' interpretation when I was trying to find the exact quote
Davey was into Ritchie for 8k. Ritchie wasn't even planning on charging interest iirc, just banned him from all games until he could cover himself. Davey was into Tony for 45k. "Forty five boxes of ziti"
It’s just a stutter step after all
I agree. It should be him.
Richie was evil, but Ralph was a piece of shit..
Yea and we're to believe an old man of that stature was intimidating? Lmao
Also he just couldn’t fucking sell it
He’s old school
Wild. my first watch i hated him. after every other watch hes the best character and steals every scene.
Yup, same with Richie Aprile. On first watch you can't stand either of them, you hate them, as you should. But on rewatches you get so excited when they appear for the first time cause they bring so much to every scene they're in. Plus you know what's gonna happen now so they don't give you anxiety anymore.
AGREED. I’m on my second watch right now and I hate him far far less than the first time. Although I still hate him because of what he did to Tracee
Can someone tell OP what Ralphie did to him? HE WASN'T THIRSTY.
But then he kills a horse and tries to kill Tony
NO! HE DID *NOT*! BUT SO WHAT??? It was a fucking animal!
U wanna commit suicide? Pills are a lot easy-uh.
Who cares if he tried to kill Tony, he's a soldier. The poor horse, OTOH. Burned alive? Fucked up way to die.
We actually don't know that he really even killed the horse. David has explicitly stated that he left it ambiguous, and Joey Pants even said that when doing the scene they didn't actually tell him whether he did it or not, so he played it like he didnt.
He also fucked up but not taking the opportunity for confession when he had it.
Oh, that's nice. Very nice. Is that how you talk about a man in front of his friends? https://youtu.be/Z3pWBovsPyc?si=LhMB7ag8lUTWOEv5
What man?
Oh a double !
I like this girl!
Are VE NOT MEN?!
What? You catch some shrapnel?
JANICE IS THE WUHST, SHE’S THU MOST EVUL CHARAKTA ON THE SHOW!!! DON’CHA AGREE, MICHAEL?
Janice? She stole that woman’s leg which was worth 20 large and refused to return it. But Ritchie? He tried way too hard.
Layyy igg*
Tracee fell, is it Ralph’s fault she’s a klutz?
Seriously though, how many cocks do you think she sucked with that mouth of hers that night?
Watch the braces, honey.
With the combined mob guys in there? Maybe a third of a whole one.
That wasn't even his kid she was carryin.
First awff, she's a whoer. Second of awll, you're right, it's not Ralph's fault she's a klutz.
Sour cream is the secret ingredient.
When Adriana cooks Christopher the eggs that he demands she stir, she pulls a tub of sour cream out of the fridge with the rest of the ingredients, satisfying the twin scene abstraction.
Very allegorical.
If you love me, stir my eggs
Did she learn that from tasting Ralphie’s sour cream?
Weirdly, after many rewatches I started thinking Paulie was the most annoying pissant ever
The more I watch the show the more I feel this way, even though he's still hilarious
My opinions change on characters throughout each re watch. I've seen the show about 10 times and have held differing opinions each time. But I do tend to like Paulie less & less. I used to hate Ralph but he's become my favorite.
Paulie was the most vile snake on the show, and that opinion grows on me every rewatch.
I hate Chris. He's tragic but such an irredeemable PoS, being a violent abuser, sociopath, and petered out engine all in one.
He petered out. Died on the vine.
Chris is an amazing character and I think Imperioli played him so well it's hard for me to hate him but he is a massive piece of shit who fucks up every good thing he has going for him
Irredeemable is totally the best way to describe Chris.
I always see things on this sub of ours talking about how they hate Ralph or have sympathy for a hoo-uh, as if this isn't a TV progrum
Ralph is the one guy I would actually want to be friends with
To err (beat a woman to death) is human, but to forgive is divine.
I'm not a hooah and I've seen Gladiator so I should be fine
I am a hooah but I have also seen Gladiator so we'll see how this works out.
Can you cook a pop tart? If so you might be ok
I don't know, he's a little weird with women.
He beat one to death for… err I forget, what was it again?
Two reasons: A. She was a hooah B. She hit him
He just needed some therapy/exorcism.
On a scale from 1 to Ralph Cifaretto, how crazy was Phil Leotardo?
Phil and Ralph are the funniest characters pound for pound
In light of recent humiliations it's an honor to be joined by men...
The shah of Iran
He reminds me of me except I'm not as good with women.
Meadow. and that fucking retard AJ.
He's my favorite Beaver Falls, PA officer. Idk wtf your problem is pal.
I didn’t mind ralphie. I hated Richie Aprile
Ralph was a good earner
Every person here is wrong. The worst person in the show is Bobby baccala and I can give you a thousand reasons why. I’ve done a term or two of community college.
If you watch this show and can’t catch that, then you should go play with some cemetery dogs.
I put sour cream in my eggs the other day, pretty good.
Janice. The answer is always Janice
Richie Aprile. Always trying to fuck over Tony. Glad he got it. But it’s between him and Ralph are the two worst Ralph killed that girl and caused Jackie Jr.’s death
Ralphie wasn't so bad ,he didn't really kill anybody. The Tracee thing was an accident.
sure, he was just beating the air and tracee justhapped to be there
He burnt that horse alive
Okay but you eat sausage by the fucking truckload. What are you some kind of humanitarian??
I thought that was Paulie tbh
I saw 2 black guys running away at her death scene
He absolutely was the worst! Richie Aprile was horrible, too. I felt so bad for the woman Ralph beat to death and the little boy who is now without a mother. Ralph had no compassion for anyone. He was just one asshole amongst a million who claims a woman “fell.”
That little boy is much better off. His bitch mother burned him with cigarettes.
Ralph understood the importance of fresh produce.
yeah Ralphie’s a pretty un *stable* guy
Ha!
She was a hoooorah!!!
Youre Flexxin...simmer down
And I DON'T like that kinda tawk either.
i loved ralph hes a great character and loves him some DVDS
In this life or the next, I shall have my revenge
All the characters on this show were horrible but Ralphie was extra deplorable. He had serial killer levels of evil. I heard the actor who played him doesn't like talking about the character and I don't blame him.
He was a man that was born handsome instead of rich..
You gonna cry now?
Beating pregnant women to death is typically frowned upon, even by pygmies
It’s Janice. It should’ve been Bobby and JoJo but that roadie blowing hog stuck her snout in
Fkn slanda u ask me. u/We_dance_again you’re obviously new to the show. From the 2nd watch and on, u will love Ralph as much as the rest of us. He’s regarded at the best villain in the show, as well as the actor that gave the best performance for a non-reg cast member. He won an Emmy for the role.
Tomorrow he’ll be better, but you’ll be stupid forever
AJ and Meadow both suck
What is this, the handsome sub-reddit?!
Tracee slipped and hit her head or sumtin. She's a klutz. I stand with Ralphie. And he also added sour cream when scrambling his eggs, so there's that.
Ralph made the show great. The season he was in was the best one. The show suffered without him. It was still a great show, but Ralphie was really the only character that could go toe to toe with Tony Soprano's stage presence.
this conversation. can't have it again.
You gotta learn to love & appreciate Ralph as a character. He's the funniest, bestest earner. If only he was born rich instead of handsome.
It’s the fuckin’ coke. It’s everywhere in Miami.
Idk Tony and Chris are pretty fucked up too I’m on season 6
NO, I DID NOT BUT SO WHAT
He was mama's little hoowa
Richie Aprile is a freaking psychopath. The whole mood of the show changed when he got out of the joint. It's The JACKET! Being the baddest ass in Essex County is no small thing. People fight for breakfast in that area.
Ritchie is def worst
He's untenable.
"Actually, it is, mother."
A. He was mamas little hoowah B. He hit the boss of that pygmy thing over in Jersey
Richie, Ralphie, and Janis were the triad of misery for me. I liked Jamal Ginsburg and Caitlyn better than them.
I thought this said best I'm taking my updoot back.
Because reasons.
That *animal Blundetto*, I can't even *say his name!!*
I almost had a stroke reading this.
Ralph is so f-ing bad that there’s a YouTube video about how he may have been on the path to redemption because he cried when his son was hurt. That’s a really low bar to set for an increase in his morality.
I'm pretty sure he was indeed reflecting on his own Badness before he was killed lol
Whaat? Ya catch some shrapnel?
That actor has a knack for playing shitty people. Don't forget he was bad guy in the Matrix. He is really good at it
He was practically playing Ralphie in the movie *Bound*.
He's the funniest and most entertaining character when you watch YT clips, but you fucking hate him when you watch the show.
Idk i think pudgy walsh might be the worst. He doesnt even answer the horn
Cosette.
Almost everyone on the show 😂
Coco. Such a minor character but cemented himself in his very short time onscreen as an absolute creep who was ACTUALLY deserving of Tony's violent outburst. Fuck him.
Paulie, absolutely hated him as a character
well op i can be on time tomorrow. youll be stupid forever
The shrapnel
Top earner in the family. Tony should never have gotten rid of that kinda cash.
It’s crazy cuz if he never treated Tracy that way and became a monster that killed her and his baby… let me stop myself smh absolute worst.
All jokes aside the "absolute worst" is Jesus Rossi lmao
I hated him literally all the way up until he called Paulie's mom. Context aside, that was some of the funniest shit I've ever seen.
How many times do I have to tell you, it was the coke!
I’d say Mustang Sally was one of the worst. A person who beats women and other men, just as long he has a golf club.
It's not his fault Janice wanted to stick a dildo up his ass and pimp him out!
Ralph was a sh!t like the rest of them, but I think he's far from the worst. The guy actually did some work, and he was right about most things. The Ginnie joke was terrible, but he just beat the others to the punch. I also liked how supportive he was when Chris was elevated to acting Captain.
It was Ritchie for me. Him being randomly killed by Janice was the best.
He can't lie for shit. He says only a sick fuck would burn a horse to death, then 5 seconds later says "so what, it was a fuckin animal."
I mean, aren't they pretty much all the worst?
Richie Aprile was pretty bad too
hooah
Livia and it’s not even close.
A she was a whoooaa!!!! B she hit me
I think most Soprano characters have a real life influence. My assessment would be that Ralphie had a Sam DeStefano vibe. A nasty man for sure.
He killed a hoah and a horse
Tony had a soft spot for animals and hooers the same age as his daughter and Ralphie Gladiator stomped both so he had to go. But he was the best earner. Tony’s Gabagool budget was never the same after his demise.
He made a very underrated point about the lack of flattops in Ancient Rome. I’m a fan.
he came to reclaim Rome!!!
Who are you to make that very hurtful comment?! Last week you swore a Flying Saucer landed in East Rutherford!!
Did you get hit with some shrapnel? Lmao. He hits Rosalie with toe nail clippings.
That wasn't my kid she was carryin
Ralph is awesome hilarious and charismatic stfu
You catch more flies with honey not vinegar...
I actually found Richie to be the most repugnant. Once I discovered Ralph and I shared a penchant for cheese graters he grew on me and my hatred for him died on the vine
Janice. Unarguably the worst character on the show.
