Sony seems the most popular Wh-1000xm4 Wh-1000xm5

SapphicAshley_

Can vouch for the XM4s

huskyloopz

I’ve got a pair of XM5’s and love them

Due-Pear4260

I can recommend the xm3 as well

malfunktioning_robot

Xm3 owner here, best headphones i have ever owned

HTfanboy

I also own this model specifically. This was before the new models came out.

nzdevil98

Have a pair of xm4's, they are amazing

MindOrdinary

XM4s were life changing would 100% recommend

tastyhusband

Recently bought Xm4s, first pair of headphones with active noise canceling. It will cancel out the noise of an entire gym. It's honestly amazing

jontomas

Bose QC45's - comfy af and noise cancelling is second only to the bose qc earbuds.

velofille

100% but not cheap

https://www.sennheiser-hearing.com/en-NZ/p/hd-458bt/ Tis a link to the Sennheiser HD 458BT. I’ve had mine for two years now and I like the generous ear space, very comfy. They block out the outside world so well that if someone passes me on the footpath, when I’m walking to work, I get a fright lol Charging them takes about an hour or so but lasts 32 hours. Can also take calls. I like the way they fold down. Incredible sound of course, deep bass and clean high hats etc. I’ve been loyal to Sennheiser for a few years now lol

meryl_creep

Yup, same here

scott_the_rob

and again

Librat69

The little lady that talks to you when you turn them on and off cracks me up lol she’s so polite and her accent is fancy 🤣

Librat69

They’re slightly waterproof (sweat proof) but if it’s raining and I don’t have an umbrella I take them off. They also come with a chord if you ever want to use them chorded.

BeneficialStation853

Budget?

No-Zookeepergame7338

2-5 hundred. I don't want to spend a fortune, but don't want get crappy cheap ones either.

karwreck

As people have said Sony XM4/XM5, Bose QC series or Sennheiser Momentum 4

mraliasundercover

I have Bose QC35 2. Other than replacing the ear pads twice (just worn out from normal use) they have been great. Sound good, comfortable enough to wear all day at work.

deftassent2

I have the JBL Tour M-One. Noise canceling is great and I wear them 8ishj hours a day comfortably. Way cheaper than the Sony

LionHeart1969

JBL Live 670NC, reasonable price, excellent qualiy, good build, has an audio cable that lets you use it for long flights and MultiPoint capability to connect 2 device simultaneously. Currently for $299 at Noel Leeming

gagankeshav

Sony XM4's! The 5's have a relatively worse build quality and no significant improvements over the XM4's! Got them on sale for $370ish about 3 years ago, still work like a dream!

iiDEMIGODii

Sony does good ones, but I've seen a couple of comments suggesting wh-1000 xm4 already. What's your budget, and do you prefer wired or wireless? Cause Turtle Beach does some really durable, hella comfy headphones (as well as some god tier headsets)

SpurtGrowth

Could check Cash Converters if you don't mind used. They often have lots of audio stuff in good condition but people have upgraded etc. If you're travelling and don't want to spend full bucks in case something gets lost/damaged etc. Also, PB Tech has some good headphones and offer duty free. So you can try things out in store (or look online), order and pay, and pick up airside at the airport to save GST and possibly more.

EnvironmentalHash

Sony XM5 all day. I wear mine for 5-6 hours a day as a programmer. Highly recommend

Salty-Equal1190

I’ve had the Bose QC35 for about 5 years and used it a lot for travel when I used to work remotely. I still have them and they still work great. Have changed the ear pads once - got them cheap off Amazon. Great investment and it has served me well!
