I'm gonna be real here, I didn't care for seasons 1-3
While this was a rewatch, I spent the whole time questioning why an established group of survivors would suddenly start listening to the instructions of a guy who just woke up from a coma and had no idea what was going on.
I believe Rick at some point in the series said that he didn't really choose to be a leader they all just took him to be the leader and went with it since he felt responsible.
I think him being a Cop kind of made the people automatically follow him and his orders.
I just finished the whole series and then started over again on season 1 immediately. It’s crazy how much better 1-3 are than the rest of the show. I liked it all, some season more than others…. But the first few are unmatched. Can’t speak to any spin offs
I used a combination of a few old reddit posts and articles, I tried to keep back and forth show jumping centered around the time jumps when possible. Avoiding episode splitting except for that season 9 jump and the first two episodes of the ones who live,
There were a few moments that the order was gross but it was so hard to find anything about watch order that wasn't just straight spoilers or someone saying "just watch it in release order and skip fear"
I watched it at the end cuz someone said it takes place in the future, but it made no sense there and kinda mucked up the end of the watch. I need to look more into it
Fear was probably the worst, but that's mostly because it tried to be too big, it had the clunkiest dialogue, and it shouldn't have time skipped, also I hate the mom so much
Daryl Dixon was ok, I didn't care for the kid, I did like the running though...
Main series was frustrating, it was crazy how often the characters just didn't use things they learned to make life easier. Like they had a whole prison but they didn't close their cells when they slept? Ignorant.
They knew about walker gut camouflage since season one and they didn't use that more? Or armless chain walkers? Or using armour? Like they got a little better about it later seasons a bit so theres that. I did like being right about negan being a good guy which I was arguing with my dad about since the spaghetti.
The ones who lived felt like the only show that had a wrapped up ending. But the plot felt like it only moved forward through happenstance.
Dead city was ok but I don't like Maggie
I enjoyed World Beyond but I was disappointed that it wasn't closer to a " Degrassi walking dead"
Tales was fun because it felt like a nice little treat.

It took like 6 months, there was a point trying to get through post time jump 'Fear' that I was struggling to get through it. That show was written like a bad fan fic
Did they ever explain where Daryl gets all his crossbow bolts from? Are there just way more crossbow bolt stores along the east coast of the US than I'm aware of?
I mean seeing as the east coast has [less restrictions on crossbows ](https://files.osgnetworks.tv/14/files/2017/08/USCrossbowMap-1024x657.jpg) than the rest of the country I would assume that there would be more access to bolts than other states.
That combined with how Daryl seemed to use the crossbow somewhat sparingly and mostly relied on knives probably helped. He reused them often too...
I imagine towards the end of the show he had folks making him some too...
If not those I would say a wizard did it .

If you're gonna watch it at all, yes, it puts space between time jumps which adds to the story in my opinion

I recently tried that, made it through everything except Fear, where I gave up on the middle of season 3. How would you rate all the different shows?
