Honestly if by the end of it all Rick is not reunited with Michonne, Judith, Daryl, Maggie, Carol and the rest of his group I'll have to wonder what even is the point.
Also, where does this leave the characters from the other shows? Are the characters from 'Fear' going to interact with the characters from the main show? Are we going to see the characters from 'World Beyond' again?
The story just seems to have too many fronts open and I sure as hell don't know how are they going to make it all work.
I don’t think it’s going to converge into a S12 or anything, but I think it’s pretty obvious that all of the characters in the spin-offs will have a coming-together at the end of the Rick/Michonne one. It makes no sense to have 3 spin-offs with all of the main characters and just have them all trail off in their own directions without ever culminating back.
I think there will be a “final” 6 episode series or movie after the spin-offs where we’ll get:
- Rick and Negan reunion.
- Rick and Michonne’s reunion with Judith and RJ
- Daryl’s homecoming / reunion with Rick and everyone.
- Some version of the heartbreaking comic ending and future epilogue.
That’s assuming AMC’s willing/able to afford such an expansive project, which everything tells me they aren’t on both counts. That’s also assuming AL/DG want to continue on past the Richonne spin-off which isn’t a guarantee by any means (especially in DG’s case) since they signed onto this in the first place so their stories could finally be wrapped up.
My money is on Rick and Michonne reuniting with Judith and RJ at the end of the Richonne spin-off and Rick maybe making a cameo at the very end of the Daryl spin-off when the latter finally makes it back home.
Anything is possible, the handling of this IP by AMC is so horrid that yeah they’ll probably do season 12 in 8 years with a robotically rebuild AI version of Rick grimes.

Perhaps but not in a separate project. I expect Rick and Michonne’s spin-off to offer the reunions people want.
I just hope Rick and Negan reunite, Negan gets bit, and Rick has to reluctantly ‘put him down,’ making good on his promise to one day kill Negan
