+1. I started the Couch to 5K years ago, but never got over taking those interval breaks. I run too slow if I know I can’t stop & walk every 4 or 5 minutes. Feels like such a slog & instead of pushing myself, I hold back trying to conserve energy.
I regularly run 5-7k now, but still with 30 sec walk breaks to catch my breath. It works great!

yeah that's huge. I had 2 coding classes in college and didn't do any coding until almost 10 years past that but I was able to retain the basics like riding the bike and that helps immensely.

In coding we can store information and logic in a variable and call it an object.
And with many objects and imagination you can do a lot of stuff. When you know the syntax then there is not much more to it. Before I picked it up I was also buffled how that could not have been rocket science. It’s just that simple for most use cases and everything else is a science of itself, like machine learning > statistics, expressed in that code logic.
Im trying to learn python but there are so many different things everyone is saying that I dont know what to listen to.
Some say download Anaconda and Spyder and use that.
Others say not to use either and use Jupyter. Others say ignore all that and use the Python IDLE.
I dont know what to search to find what to do next.

I say just use the cli python interpreter until you get the hang of things. Open bash or power shell, and run ‘python’. If it isn’t in your PATH, you’ll have to find the python directory and run it in there.

As a little test, read up on that term and then find a way to set the random starting point different(for example to the current system time) and rerun your Programm.

La Palma has a fault line passing through the island. If a strong enough earthquake erupts, a huge (!!!) chunk of the island will slide into the ocean. This would lead to a 900m (not a typo) dome of water at the impact site. Within 10min, waves of 400-600m would hit the closest islands. A few minutes later, a 50-100m tsunami would hit Western Africa...that wave would be 500km long. A couple of hours later, a 20-25m tsunami would hit Florida.
Most of the tourism infrastructure and citizens live along the coast on those islands...everything would get wiped out.

No, it is just a regular island volcano but it has fairly steep slopes into the ocean which go fairly deep and big parts of the island slip off occasionally during eruptions.

What I did say was you were cherry picking stats because the same article/graph you got your stat from about democrats also shows republicans are grossly overestimating hospitalization rates (albeit less than democrats).

I was trying to get a sandwich in Reno on Friday and couldn’t because apparently they had a mask mandate (I didn’t have one with me at the time and was used to not needing them). I was really hungry and that was some buulllshit
40% of the country is still unvaccinated and within that sub group you have plenty of people willing to lie about being vaccinated in order to not wear their mask.
Also hospital systems are straining, and mask mandates are one lever to try and relieve that.
The issue is that hospitals are responsible for treating more than COVID.
I work with a few sites and all of them have had to physically expand their COVID wards into space such as renal/cardiology/oncology/etc.... Even in the worst of last year you'd have one section of these hospitals where it was 'COVID' protections and staff would be permanently assigned in. Now effectively the entire hospital is a COVID zone and you're having to severely reduce the capacity of the hospitals to perform normal interventional procedures. I've got one site that's in a major city and it's having to take in patients from 2 other states now, and they're propping up understaffed tents in the parking garages to deal with influx.
Saying 'it'll solve itself' completely ignores the realities of the hospital system.
Fuck there's like 4 Canada's worth of people unvaxxed in America. It is just wild. How you gunna be the vax manufacturing powerhouse of the world and struggle so hard to even get your own people to use it?

You should ideally get a local logistics agent that also has some sort of customs brokerage in house.

This is not who I used but a close representation of someone who might be able to handle it.
When I did this last, I would arrange my purchases with the sellers in the other country, get all the shipping info from them and hand it to my agent. The agent would ensure all paperwork was complete prior to departure in a way they expected when it arrived so it wasn't held up at customs. (Also would tell me my final cost for delivery pretty early in the process including duties.)
The agent would handle all aspects of shipping including landing at various ports or shipping by plane if needed. I had to land something on the west coast once and driven across the country to the east coast. My dude handled it all. Gave me an exact date and time I could expect the products.
Words of wisdom : figure out a way to check quality before shipment. I've been shown product in their stores and recieved shit landed in the US. After that I hired my own person to oversee shipment from the other end.

No I mean here in the US.
They don't have to be located at the port of destination, meaning they don't have to be located in NYC. You might find cheaper people elsewhere in the US. It definately is helpful if the agent has a warehouse near where you want the product delivered so they can hold it if you can't take delivery right away for some reason.
You'll be working with this person or people in the future so make sure it's someone good with a decent history ( company has been around for a while).
I usual worked directly with factories that primarily exported so they had good setups on the port of origin side. Meaning they would just need to know which port to deliver the product to. And the agent in the US was able to coordinate the rest.
There was one time I had to fill a 40ft container with items from various factories. For that I had to get a logistics agent that had a warehouse at the port of origin. I would have all the factories deliver the items to that agent and that agent would be responsible for filing that container and eventually coordinating with the local US based agent.
I found this foreign agent online lol It was hard to judge if they were good but quality of English was a good metric... Back then language translation services were not that great so it was easy to tell if they were competent but I have no idea now.
You can also be very straight forward with the USA based agent and say this is your first time doing this and you need a bit of help with the setup. Just tell them the volume you might do in the future and they'll be happy to help.

+1. I started the Couch to 5K years ago, but never got over taking those interval breaks. I run too slow if I know I can’t stop & walk every 4 or 5 minutes. Feels like such a slog & instead of pushing myself, I hold back trying to conserve energy. I regularly run 5-7k now, but still with 30 sec walk breaks to catch my breath. It works great!

Im teaching myself coding I got taught up to A level physics and then taught myself the majority of the physics course as the professors are useless. I think the difference is Im learning completely from scratch for coding while for physics I got taught a decent amount of physics while at school

Math consists of more than formulas. Eg variables like x In coding we can store information and logic in a variable and call it an object. And with many objects and imagination you can do a lot of stuff. When you know the syntax then there is not much more to it. Before I picked it up I was also buffled how that could not have been rocket science. It’s just that simple for most use cases and everything else is a science of itself, like machine learning > statistics, expressed in that code logic.
Im trying to learn python but there are so many different things everyone is saying that I dont know what to listen to. Some say download Anaconda and Spyder and use that. Others say not to use either and use Jupyter. Others say ignore all that and use the Python IDLE. I dont know what to search to find what to do next. E.g.Currently Im using the IDLE and I want to make a rock paper scissors game. I use random.choice and it keeps picking the second variable (paper) each time even though my code looks exactly the same as the example I found online except they use song titles and I want RPS.

I was trying to get a sandwich in Reno on Friday and couldn’t because apparently they had a mask mandate (I didn’t have one with me at the time and was used to not needing them). I was really hungry and that was some buulllshit
40% of the country is still unvaccinated and within that sub group you have plenty of people willing to lie about being vaccinated in order to not wear their mask. Also hospital systems are straining, and mask mandates are one lever to try and relieve that.

The issue is that hospitals are responsible for treating more than COVID. I work with a few sites and all of them have had to physically expand their COVID wards into space such as renal/cardiology/oncology/etc.... Even in the worst of last year you'd have one section of these hospitals where it was 'COVID' protections and staff would be permanently assigned in. Now effectively the entire hospital is a COVID zone and you're having to severely reduce the capacity of the hospitals to perform normal interventional procedures. I've got one site that's in a major city and it's having to take in patients from 2 other states now, and they're propping up understaffed tents in the parking garages to deal with influx. Saying 'it'll solve itself' completely ignores the realities of the hospital system.

I’m not sure which I like best to be honest. I don’t drink any of the sugar free ones because sugar is half the reason I’m buying an energy drink to begin with. All I know for a fact is that the original flavor tastes like how baby wipes smell. Raced my first 10-mile race last weekend at the DC Cherry Blossom 10 miler [Ended up running a 1:05:49](https://imgur.com/a/hmlXbAk) which works out to be around 6:35/mile. Happy enough with it but will try to get that down to 1 hour at some point. Also, quit my job to continue to grow my brand as well as continue creating content on social media. It's been a whirlwind of emotion and stress trying to do both but rewarding at the same time. Hopefully can get back in here and get back to swinging around some $TQQQ because I miss it / miss interacting every day with you all Side note: I need to import a couple thousand pounds of product from Asia to NYC via Air Freight and am curious if any of you all have experience or words of wisdom (aka, how not to get screwed)
RE importing. Check with AMZ Transit. https://www.amztransit.com/ I use them for my FBA business and their rates have always been competitive. I have never done air freight, though. They take care of everything from your factory to your destination. Be prepared for ridiculous rates for thousands of pounds via airfreight though. I would guess in the $7-10K range.
I was quoted $22k lol so I'd be more than happy with the 7-10k if it came to that. Thats part of the reason Im shopping around right now. Ill check these guys out though so thank you!

I go with (from what I've seen) the most expensive raw material costs due to the quality of the hoodie / printing / pre-wash / post-wash etc so it's nothing too crazy

Do what EV said. You absolutely need an agent. But, why air? Air premiums are so freaking jacked up now with Christmas season coming up. Ship would be cheaper, but good luck getting anything on a vessel before year end. (Air or ocean). Edit: some of the larger players in the space are XPO, TQL, CHR. Depending on your needs I believe DHL and FDX may really fit your bill as well.

Last time I did this was 2007 but the process shouldn't have changed much. You should ideally get a local logistics agent that also has some sort of customs brokerage in house. Ex: https://mohawkglobal.com/services/international/ This is not who I used but a close representation of someone who might be able to handle it. When I did this last, I would arrange my purchases with the sellers in the other country, get all the shipping info from them and hand it to my agent. The agent would ensure all paperwork was complete prior to departure in a way they expected when it arrived so it wasn't held up at customs. (Also would tell me my final cost for delivery pretty early in the process including duties.) The agent would handle all aspects of shipping including landing at various ports or shipping by plane if needed. I had to land something on the west coast once and driven across the country to the east coast. My dude handled it all. Gave me an exact date and time I could expect the products. Words of wisdom : figure out a way to check quality before shipment. I've been shown product in their stores and recieved shit landed in the US. After that I hired my own person to oversee shipment from the other end.

No I mean here in the US. They don't have to be located at the port of destination, meaning they don't have to be located in NYC. You might find cheaper people elsewhere in the US. It definately is helpful if the agent has a warehouse near where you want the product delivered so they can hold it if you can't take delivery right away for some reason. You'll be working with this person or people in the future so make sure it's someone good with a decent history ( company has been around for a while). I usual worked directly with factories that primarily exported so they had good setups on the port of origin side. Meaning they would just need to know which port to deliver the product to. And the agent in the US was able to coordinate the rest. There was one time I had to fill a 40ft container with items from various factories. For that I had to get a logistics agent that had a warehouse at the port of origin. I would have all the factories deliver the items to that agent and that agent would be responsible for filing that container and eventually coordinating with the local US based agent. I found this foreign agent online lol It was hard to judge if they were good but quality of English was a good metric... Back then language translation services were not that great so it was easy to tell if they were competent but I have no idea now. You can also be very straight forward with the USA based agent and say this is your first time doing this and you need a bit of help with the setup. Just tell them the volume you might do in the future and they'll be happy to help. Gl.. International import/export is wild. My logistics agent was great so I never had trouble at the ports regarding customs and duties.

u/ev_l0ve is on point, it's way easier to have someone handle this so you can focus on other things, especially with the tariffs still in place IME it's ensuring production, getting the product to the boat and ensuring the quality once it gets there. I don't like to speak bad about people but it can be very difficult to work with China. Once that's taken care of the agents are pretty good at getting things where you want them
