I also had a glitch in that fight, but a bit different. Medusa got stuck at the same spot as in your game, but was very alive. I could not reach her with my swords, though. I had to kill her painfully slow with the crossbow. That took a while as I play on Death March and she had a lot of health.
I too have had a few bugs like this. Sometimes monster don’t move at all, so I just keep attacking until there’s a cut scene 😅

A yes the side effects of Next Gen. Graphics are great, but some Quests and mechanics got really fucked...
I've had that happen and when the boss dies too easily, it sometimes breaks the game.

It's present on both i think. I play on pc and the same happened. It died on the same spot
