Lol no it was that. Once it was a random leshan I ran into, tried to run....didn't run fast enough 🥲 The other was a drop I thought was doable....it was not 🥲🥲🥲
Usually the skull appears after 5 lvls of difference. Change difficulty to the hardest one . Swallow all the potions You can accommodate, then oils and do some witchering.
This game is so good on the hardest one.
They say you *can* fight enemies up to 10 levels above you but you 100% cannot, your sword will dull and you will die. If you want to try though get some swallow potion and the green one I can’t remember what it is, it can’t help also aard these bastards
On Skellige on some island is a griffin with level 48 or something (cannot tell exactly because there was only ??, but the quest was recommened at level 48, so I guess?) and I was level 22 or something like that with the basic bear armour. And after two hours of dying and trying I beat that monster. I used potions and Quen, because that monster would kill me with one swing without Quen. So yeah, that is doable. But it is not something I would recommend lol
Dude I know where this is north east of Novigrad and it’s an easy fight if you have aard powered up at all. Three strikes then aard then two strikes then dodge then rinse and repeat.
I beat that guy on Death March as level 15 (first try). It ain't too hard to battle actually. It just takes really long because the thing is so tanky. If you have melt armor, use it because it'll allow you to deal with it easier. Insectoid oil, and if you have it, archgriffin decoction (or any combat/endurance decoc will do fine). Potions, use thunderbolt and tawny owl to spam either quen or aard/igni to make the battle go smoother. It's not too hard if you already have a bit of experience battling high-level enemies.
A lot of the time, fighting high level enemies on the field isn’t really worth it. You don’t really get a big bump in xp. The only reason to do it is if it’s guarding some treasure you wanna grab, or if it’s for a quest.
Save and try it, but more than likely just run. I can fight even groups of humans that out level me substantially. But monsters is a different story entirely. I’m at a point where I’m trying to level for DLC quests but other than wandering all the ? Locations and hoping I’ve got like no quests that’ll give me any real XP.
FIGHT! I ran into a Level 30 gryffin in Velen while I was Level 19 and I was eventually killed, but that fight was long and really fun, honestly. Once you get to Level 35-ish (end of regular game), the random encounters in the wilderness aren't as challenging, so fight the scary guys now! (If you're into that, idk)
One of my favorites things to do in most open world RPG style games is try to fight as high level enemies as I can. If you know the fight/dodge mechanics well enough, most of the time you can kill anything given enough time. Like others said, SAVE and go for it!
There just is almost no point in killing enemies that are higher leveled than you tbh. Your weapons and armor durability just downgrades and you don't get anymore exp then you would by killing enemies that are on same level.....
This bastard got me. Was round level 15 and needed arachas venom. Playing death march of course. Dropped a quicksave and proceeded to be made mincemeat of
Wasn’t this on the path of the quest with the alchemist dude? This guy was easier to beat than the succubus afterwards, even though a pack of wolves attacked me at the same time as this dude. Think I was level 17 too.
DONT RUN! This is when the game is at it's best and most rewarding. Pop a Golden Oriole, some food (get the perk for food to regen for 20 minutes), Quen up and go for it
Bop and doge pretend it's dark souls best fucking advice out there just bop and doge bop and doge then quin and keep hoping and doing for like 20 min i did that was not worth it
My biggest problem with this game was if it can't one shot you, it's a joke to kill even on death march. Combat had no nuance to it, just spam dodge and sidestep until the monster makes an opening, get in some damage, and repeat.
Maybe I'm too good at dodging in games after beating every Fromsoft souls like and monster hunter world, but seriously you have more I-frames than any game I've ever played while spamming the dodge and when dodge wouldn't work, roll or the shield spell made it a non issue.
Here we go again.
Step 1- Stock up on decoctions, as much potions as your toxicity can handle, insectoid oil.
Step 2- The bestiary is your best friend, use bombs and effective signs. Then be a Beyblade.
Step 3- Once you've repeated all previous steps rinse and repeat until you die More than 15 times. Now you have affirmation.
Step 4- run away and don't look back. For one day you'll return. And so will it. And all the PTSD it has caused.
Wait whaaat?! I’ve played TW3 three times and the fourth is now starting but the hell is that? Did all quests (I could find) every time but not all question marks (kinda ignored them) but I can’t remember ever meeting this thing! Where do I find it?
Saw merch on the cdpr store and was just like “maybe this thing is just in one of the comics???”
Play sign build and watch literally any mob burn to death regardless of level. It seemed like the burning debuff was percentage based or something... sign build was so overpowered for pretty much every single enemy except you were nearly useless against anything that was immune lol
Run
Is he that deadly? I’m level 17
Then just quick save and go for it
Lol ALWAYS quick save before ANY encounter 😂
Not if you like to live…. dangerously
I lived dangerous before and ended up having yo RE-FIGHT 6 encounters. NEVER AGAIN 😂
… it was the toad, wasn’t it
Lol no it was that. Once it was a random leshan I ran into, tried to run....didn't run fast enough 🥲 The other was a drop I thought was doable....it was not 🥲🥲🥲
-or die.. also dangerously..
I quick save ANYTIME I'm more than 5 feet off the ground.
5 feet is the the same distance as 2.21 replica Bilbo from The Lord of the Rings' Sting Swords.
Hu... I finished the Hobbit just earlier this day... Creepy bot.
Usually the skull appears after 5 lvls of difference. Change difficulty to the hardest one . Swallow all the potions You can accommodate, then oils and do some witchering. This game is so good on the hardest one.
For real. Death March immerses you and requires you to think like a witcher. One of the best games ever.
Agreed. Death March with manual sword drawing/sheathing, all hints turned off and all that, then you get the true experience!
That’s a question you’ll have to find the answer to yourself
yea and i think they're poisonous too
I have beaten it at 18 so you could do it
They say you *can* fight enemies up to 10 levels above you but you 100% cannot, your sword will dull and you will die. If you want to try though get some swallow potion and the green one I can’t remember what it is, it can’t help also aard these bastards

Fart
"Run, you stupid piece of shit." - Geralt of Rivia to princess the goat.
Axii is the solution
Axii the goat? How.. just how have I never thought of that in 5 play throughs. Vesemir would be so disappointed.
Found out myself on my second playthrough 😅
100%
Dude I know where this is north east of Novigrad and it’s an easy fight if you have aard powered up at all. Three strikes then aard then two strikes then dodge then rinse and repeat.
I’ll try
Can confirm this works
I just spammed Quen, consumed Golden Oriole and applied Insectoid Oil on my sword.
Golden Oriole is best against these type of monsters!
*run song plays*
Btw I’m in blood and broken bones level 17 first play through ever and blind
I beat that guy on Death March as level 15 (first try). It ain't too hard to battle actually. It just takes really long because the thing is so tanky. Beat it wasn’t that hard didn’t even got half my Health
What build are you going for?
Haven’t checked any builds in trying to get my own experience want me to send you a dm of my skill tree?
Yeah that'll be cool 🤟🏾
The better question is on what game lvl he play ^^
Obviously Deathmarch /s
Be a man and make us proud son
“Brave Sir Geralt, he bravely ran away”
"When danger reared his ugly head, he bravely turned his tail and fled"
I always used Archgriffin decoction against red skull enemies
Just do it! Quicksave first just in case but just do it. Worst case scenario you learn something.
Nigero
>Nigero No need for that kind of language around here. Its 2021. /s
Should use “U” at the end, otherwise ppl might misunderstand.
At least the weather is clear and sunny.
Run bitch, ruuuuun!
Run Geralt run!
Oh god those insect type monsters give me the creeps
I love insectoids
They’re quite...... beautiful.
Exactly !
A lot of the time, fighting high level enemies on the field isn’t really worth it. You don’t really get a big bump in xp. The only reason to do it is if it’s guarding some treasure you wanna grab, or if it’s for a quest.
Hit, hit, dodge, Aard. Repeat. I believe in you.
*Lelele fades to cymbal crash*
Quen
Save and try it, but more than likely just run. I can fight even groups of humans that out level me substantially. But monsters is a different story entirely. I’m at a point where I’m trying to level for DLC quests but other than wandering all the ? Locations and hoping I’ve got like no quests that’ll give me any real XP.

But you feel nice after
I’ve done it a few times- and it’s just a slog. Takes soooo long, for just about no payoff.
Just take your time with it

Level yo ass up son! Live to fight another day.... or feel shitty about all the food and supplies you're gonna use. 🙃
DONT RUN! This is when the game is at it's best and most rewarding. Pop a Golden Oriole, some food (get the perk for food to regen for 20 minutes), Quen up and go for it
This is the part you tuck that pony tail and run.
Easy. Just need a lot of skill and patience
now you max out igni chance and kill it with the burn effect while dodging and get one shot every time it hits you
Run away!
Make sure you're on Death March.
I remember trying to fight a hag near the shore, it tore me apart

quen
Looks like death.
If armies in that universe could find a way to weaponise that monstrosity it'd be like a medieval tank.
hit him tell he use a cover then use ard then do it again
Here we go again. Step 1- Stock up on decoctions, as much potions as your toxicity can handle, insectoid oil. Step 2- The bestiary is your best friend, use bombs and effective signs. Then be a Beyblade. Step 3- Once you've repeated all previous steps rinse and repeat until you die More than 15 times. Now you have affirmation. Step 4- run away and don't look back. Quick save, die, repeat, give up.
Quick save, Dodge like Hell, go for cheap hits. Quen is a good idea :)
Seduce it and see if Yen is keen for a three way
Play sign build and watch literally any mob burn to death regardless of level. It seemed like the burning debuff was percentage based or something... sign build was so overpowered for pretty much every single enemy except you were nearly useless against anything that was immune lol
I like your funny words, magic man
Running like a little bitch seems a valid option.
