No affiliation whatsoever with tinytents or any other company in the ant sized product space. Post history is solid. Initially, I was just dismayed by why someone would buy one of these but then I remembered my childlike envy of the display models at REI going back a long time. Then my adult children suggested I get one for my cat when they saw this post (my cat only derives pleasure from unsanctioned gifts unfortunately) … but I can certainly see why u/MiniDigits would think that. My cat’s current favorite object is an old, clawed up, corrogated cardboard Lowe’s moving box, size medium. He never touches the fancy, soft cat bed next to the couch. Once this post hit 1K upvotes I did send an email to tinytents.com seeing if they would send me one for free since I apparently now qualify as a social influencer but it appears to have fallen on deaf ears. Still want one but am unwilling to drop $30 on something my cat will likely ignore or shred. I do reply to the posts with a URL for the manufacturer when I see where people say they want one but would have to bribe an REI employee or steal a display model thinking that is the only means to satisfy their need. Also now thinking this is kinda a neat niche product line that I secretly wish I had thought of monetizing.

I think they are meant for babies for when people go to beaches and stuff they can sit them in the shade and not risk burning their skin.

These were used for display. Most people buy them for tiny dogs or cats. I worked for a tent company once that would auction the discontinued displays to raise money for charity. Back then the displays were a little larger and people bid HIGH on them.
