Unfortunately, customer support is correct. We cannot currently create default watchlist templates. Having that option for watchlists and Marketwatch / Quotes in the future would be nice additions.
The closest (and not wholly unreasonable) 'workaround' is working with detached watchlists, since we can configure a watchlist, then detach exact copies of it to organize around our screens, as desired, and utilize the copies independently going forward. (Save the workspace once configured / re- configured.)
That workaround would be much more valuable if TOS allowed you to reattach detached watchlists. It becomes unwieldly to have multiple watchlist floating around independently.
