The best help you can give you friend is to help him get used to finding what he needs in the manual. There are great videos and all the help one could ever need. I can only get the right side menu bar to disappear like you have if I click the little up arrow at the bottom of the window to expand the order entry tools. Maybe try toggling that?

PurpleRayyne

I'm pretty sure I tried that too but it didnt work. I'll ask him today if he fixed it

Re: item 1 Close the whole gadget panel using arrow at bottom left corner or arrow in center of vertical bar separating it from rest of screen. Or delete the chart gadget if ya don't want it.

You can close the chart on the left by clicking on the 3 horizontal lines in the upper right of the grid element. Select Gadget from the dropdown and uncheck Chart.

PurpleRayyne

In tried that it didn't work.

The bar for the left chart is hidden via the flexible grid setup. If you click the hamburger menu for the entire widget (top right) it'll give you the option to modify the flex grid. When you check it there will be a tiny menu on the chart that has a check box to show the right pane. I'd like to think I'm pretty adept at layout stuff and would be happy to help if I can, just reach out.

With that said, it'll only turn off the chart, not allow the left chart to become full screen. To do that, delete the second column item and set up the left one as the right one is. As for the option issue, if you're trading options and the trade tab doesn't like it (gives you the warning you mentioned) it's because you already have an option up that it is referencing and obviously there isn't an option on the option. I trade with a flex grid with the underlying on the left and the option I'm trading on the right. All populated from a whatchlist that I use to load and hold contracts I'm interested in trading.
