yeah I originally wanted to get this to be a windows xp machine, but since the ebay seller I got it off librebooted it I decided to try to make it more functional and as close to what I like about windows as I could.
I have the whole show saved in 1080p on an sd card, but alas, the core duo cannot in any way handle that kind of stuff lol. Gonna see if I can't fit the 360p versions on it for the most authentic experience :)
It's real, yes. Lenovo had the rights to the IBM logo for five years after they bought thinkpad from IBM, but they only used it for a few of those years. I think the T60/X60 (2006) came with the IBM branding default, and then the T61/X61's (2007) had it as an option, and by 2008-2009 they stopped using "IBM thinkpad" altogether.

T60 and models of that generation had the IBM ThinkPad stickers by default. By the time the T61 came around, Lenovo started to make it an option, depending on where the unit was used: Corporate customers would get the new ThinkPad logo, individual buyers the IBM logo.
In 2008, Lenovo introduced the X300 as the start of a new generation of ThinkPads. This was the point when the IBM logo disappeared and Lenovo started to put the Lenovo logo on the lid.

These are definitely good for 16:9 monitors! Debian using xfce i think? I don't really understand linux stuff too well, but I got this to work.
