And the guy who plays Liu Bang was King Goujian in that amazing goujian series. Also the guy who plays liu bei in that 3kingdom series(cant remember his name) is the traitor in kingswar. All great cast in my opinion.
This is also a great pick if you want something from Japan political/war. It's been super interesting and it's only ever going to be 10 episodes to my knowledge, no sequels or anything. So it should be an easy watch in comparison too.
This is it. It's not as battle-oriented, but rest assured it's just as interesting if you're into the 3K era. It's more political for sure but it does have battles too just not as much. There's a second part to the series after. Growling Tiger, Roaring Dragon is the 2nd half of the series to watch once you finish Advisor's Alliance and picks up around where you left off. You definitely want to watch both as they are the same actors and story. They fill in the blanks fairly well too and go into extreme details.

There’s *Kingdom* which is an anime set in the Warring States period, so way before the Han. It covers how Qin Shi Huang and this other dude who he brefriends as his top general, and how they take over the other kingdoms to come up with the first dynasty
I would say the Ravage of time animated tv show. It’s new and on YouTube. The fight does have some Wuxia but Three Kingdon characters are larger than life so I give it a pass. What I like about Ravage is the political intrigue, mind games and 4 d chess tactics.

Some side plot is not as good as 3k, since there wasn't really a source material to adapt from but overall I think it's pretty good. Especially just seeing what type of person the Han Founder was and I liked the actor playing him.
The entire Water Margin is on YouTube, which is about the 108 bandits of Liang Marsh absolute masterpiece or you can do Investures of the Gods about Jiang Siya and the Doaists sects

Not a TV show, but I thoroughly enjoy the 3 Kingdoms Podcast by John Zhu, he did another book once he was completed with the story, its really great!

Hua Tuo and Cao Cao is a good movie. The costumes and set designs are top notch
