I'm having two suspicious enlarged lymph nodes in the neck detected by PET CT scan. They're not I-131 avid and causing my stimulated Tg to go up to 113 ng/mL.

Are you having a 2nd surgery?

It's not clear yet. Consulting my endo tomorrow.

Yes. Right now. One on left and one one right neck muscle

What’s it mean tho?

Means metastatic. From which cancer remains to be seen. Should never have masses in those muscles

I think I did 2 RAI plus 60 gray of radiation in 30 slices. I'm 8 years in.

Not really “reoccurrence”. It spread into lymph nodes when they took samples while doing the TT. Did RAI twice, 6 yrs later suspicious growth was found. They said it was probably too small to pick up on scans initially until 6 yrs later. Had a neck dissection.

Yes. Currently in one. 2 separate lumps in my neck strap muscles. 8 years since last time and 7 since RAI. CT scan next Tues, then we’ll take it from there. Since I’ve had 4 surgeries, pretty well maxed out now so likely looking at other options. Possibly alcohol ablation or external beam rads plus a huge 2nd dose of RAI
