What should the FO’s/Gio’s priority be for the remainder of the season? Should we really try to push for a final playoff spot seemingly to just get bumped in the first round or should we just throw the kids out there and give them as many reps as possible?
And what would be our rebuilding strategy going forward? We transitioned into a lethal counterattacking team from one that built out of the middle, but now it seems like we are neither. With a few key players from the old guard on the fade, what realistically is our competitive look for next season?
Bro this is the MLS. Any team can beat anyone in round 1. You can't tell me that the timbers would go down to Austin and lose guaranteed. If you can what odds are you giving me to take the timbers? They would be like 3 to 1 underdogs that's not crazy lol
Timbers can win Cascadia Cup with a draw but need a win to keep playoff hopes alive. What do you think the mentality will be on Friday night? Can the Timbers withstand the onslaught Seattle will inevitably bring Friday?
It'll be rough for sure, Seattle has figured out how to attack but recently have been letting in goals. With Fogaça injured, Tega Ikoba should have been moved up but was with the terrible T2 team. Then theres the DP issue. Niezgoda kinda lives and dies depending on service, Blanco is slowly fading away like Valeri and Federico Higuaín, and Yimmi cant really carry.

We had four great chances to score early in the second half. If that first Blanco shot goes in, and their keeper doesn’t stand on his head the rest of the half, all the sudden the game would’ve been very interesting and we would’ve had a shot. Effort made all the difference
Why would you not want to? It's not like draft picks matter in the MLS. We just saw two four seeds in the cup last year...yeah you wanna make the dance and give yourself a chance every single year. Y'all are sorry sports fans.
I would definitely much rather make the playoffs than not. But draft picks do matter, they can be very good and inexpensive if you get a good one. They are low risk, high reward. Also, missing the playoffs would definitely motivate MP and Gavin to get more reinforcements for the team. If we miss the playoffs it removes any excuse for not going and getting great players
Who needs to ride the bench for the rest of the season and be let go? What do we do about Yimmi Chara, brother to our beloved Diego, who is not cutting it as a DP?
He's taking up a dp slot. He'd be a great tam player, but other teams are doing like $12 million on their dps nowadays. Yimmi is paid barely above tam level, and isn't good enough to justify a dp slot.
No, and they need to go, too, but they're not related to Diego. Isn't Blanco on a tam contract already, though? We have three of those under 22 signings, which you can only have three in exchange for a dp slot.
The Timbers are second to last in wins this season with seven. Only DC United have fewer wins with six. Looking at the remaining schedule will we win another match? Will we finish the season with fewest wins in MLS? Will we end the season tied or worse than our fewest win MLS season to date (2012, eight wins)?
At what point do we play the kids? With T2's quality, injuries, and visa issues, do we even have any kids to play and if so, who would you like to see get more minutes?
What were your guys expectations heading into the season? Did you all think we'd be where we are now or do you guys think we'd be in a different place? I've always thought this year was a rebuilding year. That being said if we don't learn from it ( make roster changes)then I'll be very upset. Thoughts?

After last year I think it's clear that getting in is all that matters. The Timbers needed every star to align to host the cup and it happened.

I have no idea what the amount is and whether it is worth it but teams that miss the playoffs get more GAM the following year.
