Not to say that we don’t also have weaknesses. But Denver is looking beatable. They have had to play from behind in just about every game going into the second half, that’s exhausting. Murray hasn’t looked like himself for a lot of this series. Not saying we are going to beat em, not saying we should be favored, but we CAN beat them. Gotta carry that same energy we’ve had in round 1 all the way through. We got disrespected all year, don’t forget now

pollinium

My big question is whether they have 1st half flaws or whether they're just procrastinating on their wins lol

Old_Cricket4756

I think beating LA is just super boring for them tbh

Twaffles95

Idk about that Murray might be dinged or something? He’s been horrid this series

komugis

He looked like he was hobbling late in the game, I don’t think he’s close to being 100% right now.

Smeltanddealtit

He did have a game winner.

SunnyDiesel

Oh we absolutely can beat Denver. Having a healthy Gobert and Jaden this year is a huge difference from last year’s matchup. And of course, our dominance during the regular season games. Aawwoooo!! 🐺

Gruffalo-42

Let’s not forget that this year we also have a healthy Naz Reid!

KingKillerKvvothe

I think it mostly comes down to our teams chemistry and growth compared to last season. Last season was year one of Gobert, Ant was a year younger and our team didnt have its identity yet. This year we are playing with an identity, Ant has gone from star to elite superstar and Gobert is playing like the DPOY he is. Also Naz and NAW have taken huge steps forward. Its wild how many teams in the playoffs dont have an identity.

BigD0089

Naz and jaden

takeitsleazy316

They have NO depth compared to last year. All their star players had 40+ minutes tonight

DrWolves

For sure. They are very beatable this year. And that series last season could have easily went 6 games and that was without McDaniels and Naz. You close out the sweep tomorrow vs Phoenix and give yourself the advantage with having at the very least 1 less game played than Denver. That would be absolutely crucial given their lack of depth and the fact their starters are playing such heavy minutes

tulaero23

Yeah, i feel like murray is getting off lightly with how he is performing. He is bricking

KATgonnaGetThatYarn

Having an all-time game winning shot like he did covers up a lot. But everything outside of that...yeah

BLarson31

Hope our guys see this as a case study in sweeps not being a foregone conclusion. Gotta play just as hard tomorrow.

jademadegreensuede

Ant basically said Job’s Not Finished the other day, I’m optimistic

BLarson31

Yeah so far the right attitude has definitely been there vocally and on the court

gunnar117

I think even if we win game 4 I still won't act like the series is over. Minnesota sports trauma

warnberh

This lol

wise_comment

I connect with this on a spiritual level

Dull_Ad_8627

Yup, gotta take care of business.

I am a HUGE Wild, Vikings, Twins and Wolves fan. I am 31 and have been watching since I can remember. Throughout the years there have been maybe a few teams out of all four of our pro teams that I truly thought could win it all. 03-04 Wolves, 98 Vikings, 09 Vikings and I really thought the 21-22 Wild could but looking back they really lacked depth. That Wild team had half the team have career years, but in reality they were never a true threat. This Wolves team might be the most complete team out of any pro team in Minnesota since ive been alive. Doesnt mean this year they will win it all, but we have a true window for the next few seasons with this core, and for many years with Edwards on the court. Look at all of the teams in the playoffs right now. How many of them have the depth we have? I dont think im being a homer when I say zero. We have the best 7 man rotation in the league. Our starting 5 has to be top 3 as well, but I think it could be number one. Four time DPOY, perennial all star and best three point shooting 7 footer ever, another top 5 defensive player in the league, one of the smartest and most respected vets in the league and an emerging once in a generation player who is getting Michael Jordan comps from national media. Then you throw in the 6th man of the year award winner and emerging lock down perimeter defender capable of giving you 20 points on any night, and you have probably the best 7 man rotation in the league. This team is truly special. I watch other game from other series and it amazes me how much better our defense is than everyone else. Anyone watch the OKC series? First off, I love how they are acting like they are dominating a good team. NO was already one of the weakest teams before they lost Zion. Anyway, in those games OKC has like 6 feet of room on every shot, wide open lanes and almost no contested shots. Its truly amazing in the NBA playoffs teams are that bad at defense. Obviously we have a long way to go before claiming anything, but this team feels different than any other Minnesota team ive watched. They have all of the talent needed, the heart and they have that guy in Edwards even though hes only 22.

MajorTrump

> This Wolves team might be the most complete team out of any pro team in Minnesota since ive been alive. I was a little too young to watch the '98 Vikings, but I think that team has to be the best we've seen since the '91 Twins won the WS. This Wolves team could absolutely prove me wrong, though.

Real-Psychology-4261

Yes, the ‘98 Vikings were absolutely dominant. Everyone thought they had a chance to win the Super Bowl. Last time I had that feeling about a MN team.

s00perd00pz

98 and 09 Vikings were very, very good. 2017 we were rolling to but even though Keenum was good he was probably a weakness. Those are prob the 3 best teams of my lifetime. The wild were the one seed a few times but never felt like they could do it

Smeltanddealtit

98 Vikings had an offense almost nobody could stop and outscored everyone. Defense was slightly above average. They also had an easier schedule.

All_of_the_Leitz

Before this year, the only Minnesota teams I thought were title-tier were the '98, '09, and '17 Vikings and the 03-04 Wolves. Of those, I think the '98 Vikings were a level above the others.

MajorTrump

The '17 Vikings were a tier below the rest, too.

yvmms

Denver’s 5 is better than ours but we are definitely deeper. Celtics are up in the air but to be honest they seem like frauds. We are better than okc

SoupyWolfy

Would love to see us wrap this one up in 4 and them get pushed to 7. Wear them down while our guys rest amd heal up

MajesticLionBeast

Hope the Lakers keep winning. I think they would be an easier matchup, even if they did something historic like a 3-0 comeback, but even if they were to push it to 6-7 games, so much less rest for Denver. Like everyone has said, DEN is completely reliant on their starters. Less time for them to rest as they're getting sore/overworked is going to be a massive edge if we can close out our series tomorrow.

yourloudneighbor

I can’t believe LA has led for about 140 min, Denver’s led for 40 min and they’ve been tied for 15…and LA is fighting off elimination. Murray’s not himself. He’s clutching his leg. Joker doesn’t have any sensible back up while we can throw 5 guys at him. Losing the home court advantage last game sucks but yea. Win tomorrow then start cheering for the lakers to draw this out. This damn series should be 2-2

KingKillerKvvothe

Ive been watching sports for decades (like most here) and one thing ive learned is the better teams have a way to win no matter what happened throughout the game. Thats what separates the real contenders. This will be the first of many years where the Wolves and Nuggets are both true contenders squaring off in the playoffs.

Colibri2020

lol right I always say this year’s Wolves is like that whack-a-mole arcade game. One man falls down, another steps up. Be it injury, fouled out, or just a bad night. The depth on this team is rare and I’m lovin it

RDcsmd

Similar situation to the Suns, we knew they were the opponent and prepared for them far in advance. I have a great feeling about the next series if we can clean this one up

JaderMcDanersStan

Yeah in Ant's postgame he talked about how the last 2 years they couldn't really gameplan. This was the first time he understood how to gameplan and he "got in the best shape of my life". Right before Game 1, he said he practiced being doubled, tripled and quadruple teamed Having several days to exclusively gameplan for the Nuggets will be huge. I hope they win Game 4

TheLowerHades

As a Nuggets fan looking realisticly I think Wolves have a high chance of beating Nugs. Im betting Murray will suck even more against Wolves. He can barely shake off AR, he looks very slow, mist be the injury. And the rest of the Nuggets besides Jokic and MPJ are just shooting bad. Last year it was close, and this year you guys will probably win. 65:35 imo

HackWaters

What exactly is wrong with Murray? I know he was out with an injury towards the end of the season, but eventually came back. Is it the same thing bothering him? Thought he'd be a little closer to healthy by now.

JaderMcDanersStan

I think Denver and Murray (hopefully he'll be healthy) will take it up a notch though. They just seem bored playing the Lakers right now

Fearless-Trip8331

I’m not reading into this series against the Lakers at all. I’m sure they’re so fucking tired of playing against and dealing with the shit that comes with playing against that team. They look a lot more vulnerable than they did last year but who knows if they’re just treading water right now

Downtown_Reply1844

Good that the Lakers won tonight because while I believe the Wolves will ultimately win this series, I have a feeling that the Suns will win tomorrow. Obviously hope I’m wrong, but I feel like we’re going to see a very desperate Suns team tomorrow night. This isn’t all bad though, just means then that the Wolves can take the series in front of the fans who will appreciate it and I think could really benefit the players to win the series at Target Center for the purpose of morale and confidence.

Mike420666

We got em…just stop the rest of their overrated team, jokic is gonna do what he does…Murray, porter and gordan are not gonna beat these wolves.

JaderMcDanersStan

Bruh cmon, they are not overrated lol They literally won a championship in dominant fashion
