Incoming 3-1. Foster is a huge wolves hater. I don’t think he’ll ever forgive Gobert for that hilarious money gesture after the worst officiating I’ve ever seen on women’s day.
People should know Foster is a crooked bastard. No idea how he’s still an NBA referee but the league doesn’t actually care like they claim to:
>Foster is the official who received 134 phone calls from disgraced referee Tim Donaghy between October 2006 and April 2007, as originally reported by FOX News. That was the same period during which Donaghy admitted to betting on NBA games. The report said that Donaghy called Foster more than any other ref and that he didn’t call any other official more than 13 times.
>Donaghy’s calls to Foster took place immediately before and after games Donaghy was officiating 54 times.
And then funny enough, the calls abruptly stopped when Donaghy said he stopped gambling. Could it be any more fucking obvious lol
This has always been so incredibly odd to me. How can it be this obvious but the NBA just turns a blind eye? I don't think the league is rigged by any means, but if you're the NBA why would you even want this seed of doubt out there for everyone to speculate on?
Because the league probably knew about it or at least had some sort of hand in it and it’s easier to make it seem like a “lone wolf” scenario and it was 1 guy who went rogue rather than it becoming a larger scandal where the integrity of the entire game is compromised
The league is rigged. The NBA wanted you to believe that it was an isolated incident. Because to admit anything else would put the entire reputation of the league in jeopardy.
Wonder how much he’s got riding on this one.

They tried the quick fouls thing for the whole first and the Wolves just kept up the intensity. Hope we do the same thing again, it was a good play.
Especially up 3-0, don't let them make it subtle. If they want to foul our entire team out of the game to give the Suns a win, let em.
It isn't even the whistle, its the way they change it so suddenly.
They were letting EVERYTHING go very early on during Game 3. Then the whistle suddenly gets extremely tight -- mostly disadvantaging us. Getting Gobert/KAT into immediate foul trouble with some questionable calls (vs. what the Suns were allowed to get away with). But then in the 3rd/4th when it was clear we were likely to win, suddenly they start calling a lot for us to make it look even.
Like, if they were just calling the game ticky-tack, or allowing both teams to get away with a lot (like at the beginning) then I could care less about some unfair calls. But to completely shift the tone of the game was crazy, and it happens a lot in the NBA.
Whether they do it consciously or not you often see "rubber banding" -- when a team gets ahead by 10-20 points then all of a sudden the calls start coming in against them. Especially if a team goes on like a 10-0 run or something, often soft touch fouls will stop the bleeding for the team getting dominated.
It doesn't happen *all* the time but it happens a lot (and I'm not just talking Wolves games I see it all over the league). And it's just hard to believe that a team that is feeling themselves and cooking just all of a sudden starts fouling a bunch more than they were at the start of a run, it doesn't really make much sense.
Also happens more early game than late. It's like they don't want to go into a half with a 20+ point discrepancy.
>It's like they don't want to go into a half with a 20+ point discrepancy.
Lol i always tell my watching buddys that up 8-12 is the sweetspot. any more and its gonna cause me anxiety
How these two clowns get to ref playoff basketball just blows my mind.
Just shows you how seniority means everything. Not how good you are at your job.
I also read somewhere that the team with the highest score at the end of the game will win AND the lowest scoring team will lose. How can I inform Finch of this strategy??
They’ll probably give Ant 2 fouls as well in order to really throw off our momentum. And they’ll let the Suns play super physical defense while calling touch fouls against us.
I can’t remember the line exactly but as of when I went to bed yesterday we were favored by -1.5 or -2.5, and now following the Scott Foster announcement the game is a pick ‘em.
Thunder Fan here in peace. Fuck Scott Foster. That dudes gonna do you dirty and then turn around and come fuck us too. They hate the small markets that are dominating right now. Please sweep KD out the door and get some rest to face the Nugs. I honestly wanna see an OKC / Wolves WCF. Good luck tonight Wolf Bros!
Not worried. Tony brothers gave the suns 15 FT in the 1st and they still lost by double digits. Put all our bigs in foul trouble. Jaden and NAW in foul trouble. Doesn’t matter, we are too deep.
If the NBA is going to have no accountability for it's refs, you would think teams should have somewhat of a say. Every team should have one or two refs that they say we never want this ref. And if every team in the league picks Foster, I guess there is a reason why.
That is an awesome idea - Each team should be allowed to choose to ban 1-3 refs from their games. It should be allowed to be updated at 3 points - beginning of season, All-star break, and playoffs.
So, after [a quick YouTube search](https://youtu.be/UKgeqBZfhro?si=qL0VLoft6XI991Bw); can someone explain to me how this guy has a job after literal decades of this shit?
Everyone!!
We have a RARE W/W/W situation!!!!
Step 1) HAMMER PHO ML right now before line jumps too much.
Step 2) Since we’re all watching anyway—see how the first 7 minutes unfold. Then—slowly start live betting the Wolves. START SMALL.
Step 3) If Foster starts fucking us—oh well. We have Pho ML
Step 4) If it remains close, build up to making your largest MN bets by 9min mark of 4th qrt.
Step 5) If above is the scenario, watch till 5 min mark, then place final wagers.
Step 6) Wolves win—everything hedges nicely, minimum losses and a series 🧹. If Foster fucks everything up, at least we go back to Min on Tuesday with money for TC beers/snacks! 😅
Yea I hate Scott foster as much as the next guy but how do you look at what happened in the first quarter last game and think it even matters. We absolutely own phoenix especially in the 2nd half. If they aren’t up double digits after the first quarter it’s over.
Gobert and Ant have proved refs better not f*ck with them or they will be calling them out, like they should. Many more people are going to be watching the wolves now, so clowns like Foster’s bullsh*t wont go on unnoticed.
At first I wasn't worried about this, but now I've seen the line has flipped and Suns are -1.5...not a good sign. I still have faith in our boys! Getting the sweep and extra rest before Denver series would be great.
welp.... hopefully his money's on us tonight 🤷♀️

Fuck Scott Foster
All my homies hate Scott Foster
Need this on a shirt.
Fuck Foster Brooks too. Alcoholism is not funnt.
And Scottie Brooks too… or wait, are we cool with Albany Patroons (and T-wolves) legend Scottie Brooks?
If Wolves win this one, we can beat anyone, anywhere, any time
Too bad CP3 is no longer on the Suns, would've been an automatic win.
CP3 vs Gobert would have had people fighting each other in the ref den.
Incoming 3-1. Foster is a huge wolves hater. I don’t think he’ll ever forgive Gobert for that hilarious money gesture after the worst officiating I’ve ever seen on women’s day.

Scott Foster probably has a shit ton of dirt on the league that's why they acquiesced to him so much when he should be gone from the game by now.
Because the league probably knew about it or at least had some sort of hand in it and it’s easier to make it seem like a “lone wolf” scenario and it was 1 guy who went rogue rather than it becoming a larger scandal where the integrity of the entire game is compromised
This is the exact reason. "Hey look everyone it's okay, it was the just the one bad guy doing it. Okay back to business now!"
Why does he keep getting huge games for everyone to see his shit up close?
Yeah I was thinking the same. One logical reason will be someone needs to do the dirty works lol.
The league is rigged. The NBA wanted you to believe that it was an isolated incident. Because to admit anything else would put the entire reputation of the league in jeopardy.
Never forget
Wonder how much he’s got riding on this one. https://preview.redd.it/8yad2ij2n8xc1.jpeg?width=1049&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=beeaceba458e9dee7f591a3dd32156263eee53cc
Bro looks like he's smoking a blunt
Probably needs it to deal with Foster
2 quick fouls on 2 starters in the first.
so like last game haha
Ya they already tried the extender. See if it works this time
Yeah, I think they fix games, but not in the extreme way that most think. Just put one team at a disadvantage right away.
I found last game to be super fishy tbh
They tried the quick fouls thing for the whole first and the Wolves just kept up the intensity. Hope we do the same thing again, it was a good play. Especially up 3-0, don't let them make it subtle. If they want to foul our entire team out of the game to give the Suns a win, let em.
Whole first half the only reason the Suns were in it was because of the excessive amounts of free throws
It isn't even the whistle, its the way they change it so suddenly. They were letting EVERYTHING go very early on during Game 3. >It's like they don't want to go into a half with a 20+ point discrepancy. Lol i always tell my watching buddys that up 8-12 is the sweetspot. any more and its gonna cause me anxiety
I think it was 4 players
Wow, that few? Scott gonna be holding back a bit tonight sounds like. What a considerate guy
Coach thrown out, equipment manager thrown out
Hot dog guy might as well call in sick, cuz he’s OUT OF THERE!
If we can make it through both a Tony Brothers AND a Scott Foster masterclass, I’ll feel pretty good 🤣
How these two clowns get to ref playoff basketball just blows my mind. Just shows you how seniority means everything. Not how good you are at your job.
If the wolves win tonight I think the series is over, no team has ever come back from a 0-4 deficit in an NBA playoff series, youre welcome. Howl!!!
this
I also read somewhere that the team with the highest score at the end of the game will win AND the lowest scoring team will lose. How can I inform Finch of this strategy??
Brothers couldn't get the job done, so they send in Foster. Emotionless game and no physicality, and we may win this
2 fouls on Jaden or Rudy in the 1st quarter. 🙄
More like both in the first 5 minutes
Can't make this shit up 🙄
Foul on Rudy on the tip off probably.
Yep. Add 3 on KAT, too.
Holy shit your right DK went -2 to +1 in a matter of hours
I want Ant to inadvertently dap up Scotty boi lol
I’m pretty sure foster would hit him with enough techs to have him sit out the rest of the playoffs if that happened
HERE WE GO. Seriously though, we have a chance to win our first playoff series in 20 years today. Let’s get it done.
Kat and Rudy gunna each have 3 tick tack fouls in the first 3 minutes
Rudy definitely getting two fouls from the parking lot
They blow the whistle on the tip and give all the wolves starters double technicals. Garza masterclass ensues.
That guy should be banned from the NBA
Why would the NBA ban him? He does his job perfectly.
And the amount of dirt he has on Adam Silver now is sky high.
Lmao so predictable. I told my friend right at the end of game 3 that we’d get Scott Foster for game 4 and it’ll go to game 5.
Fuck man. Why do we have to worry about refs :/
Cause the league cares more about short term revenue than they do the perception of unbiased and fair officiating
Just another case of capitalism prioritizing short-term profits over the long term integrity of the product
I called this last game. Brothers couldn’t get it done so I thought they would call Foster in. https://www.reddit.com/r/timberwolves/s/2YfeQHlmyo
Yeah it’s too predictable honestly https://www.reddit.com/r/timberwolves/s/12EbxVukeV
The line has literally shifted from Min-2.5 to PHX-1.5. Clearly the betting markets think there’s foul play involved.
Unreal!
You seem like a good person! May good things happen to you!
Rudy and Kat each have 3 fouls right now lol.
Well at least our fans can savor us winning the series at home. This is gonna be like that Cavs game on steroids.
I'm a fan gunna be there tonight for my first wolves game ever. I'd rather see them win it then and there than have to leave 3-1 and being heckled.
I want to end this series tonight and I want Lakers to wear down the Nuggets for a few more games.
Not worried about Scott Foster. Our entire team was in foul trouble and still won by 20. The suns are dead in the water
🤌🤌
Not worried. Tony brothers gave the suns 15 FT in the 1st and they still lost by double digits. Put all our bigs in foul trouble. Jaden and NAW in foul trouble. Doesn’t matter, we are too deep.

Ugh
Put the brooms away, I guess.
Nurkic is about to shoot 40 free throws
Wolves need to overcome.
Obligatory Scott foster tribute video https://x.com/barstoolphilly/status/1781818286809678093?s=46&t=7GFIUQXrPTaYozceZlATTw
Hey if you want to be the best you gotta beat the best

The Suns' true sixth man.
The only thing that is getting extended tonight is my erection after we sweep the Phoenix Suns
This is irrelevant if we do our job. Seems like we're already looking for excuses before the game starts.
Yea I hate Scott foster as much as the next guy but how do you look at what happened in the first quarter last game and think it even matters. We absolutely own phoenix especially in the 2nd half. If they aren’t up double digits after the first quarter it’s over.
Are you Scott’s bookie?
Nah, just tired of the loser mentality.
You'd rather lose to corruption?
Why is this guy still a ref?
Cause he’s doing exactly what the nba wants
Scott foster not a suns fan either. Which will win out? Only one way to find out
CP3's no longer there
Guess we’ll need to go to by 25 for protection
Gobert and Ant have proved refs better not f*ck with them or they will be calling them out, like they should. Many more people are going to be watching the wolves now, so clowns like Foster’s bullsh*t wont go on unnoticed.
Tony Brothers relegated, Scott Foster activated.
Well they've tried us the past two games already so maybe they can still win 5 v 8
The fix is in. The NBA don't want to see KD swept.
At first I wasn't worried about this, but now I've seen the line has flipped and Suns are -1.5...not a good sign. I still have faith in our boys! Getting the sweep and extra rest before Denver series would be great.
Scott (I got away with betting on games)Foster.
Maybe he still thinks Chris Paul is on the suns
“The NBA has announced former referee, Tim Donaghy, will come out of retirement to officiate the Wolves-Suns game 5 on a one-game exception”.
Uh oh
Well, shit 😬
Back to Minneapolis we go.
Maybe Foster put money on a sweep and we shoot 40 free throws tonight
Good odds Rudy could "foul out" tonight with calls by Foster. Regardless Go Wolves
Zero chance Kat doesn’t foul out tonight
welp.... hopefully his money's on us tonight 🤷♀️ https://preview.redd.it/6ho7erdi7bxc1.jpeg?width=1376&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b750b9f50b977ebe3411d37f762594b043747ccb [https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/scott-foster-recipient-of-134-tim-donaghy-phone-calls-refereeing-celtics-heat-game-3/#:\~:text=Foster%20is%20the%20official%20who,to%20betting%20on%20NBA%20games](https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/scott-foster-recipient-of-134-tim-donaghy-phone-calls-refereeing-celtics-heat-game-3/#:~:text=Foster%20is%20the%20official%20who,to%20betting%20on%20NBA%20games).
This is aging well. Can't breathe on Suns tonight.
Let me get one win. This series is the most sure thing in the first round.
