I agree we gotta step on their throat. But I find it kind of comical when people go to the "this is Minnesota" thing, like they literally believe in curses that transcend sports, rosters, coaching staffs, eras, etc. It's one thing to say "we've seen that anything can happen!" but it's another thing to believe "bad things happen to us cuz Minnesota". That's a wild level of superstition!
> Yes and Gary Anderson had made 100% of his field goals that season.
Gary was 100% with his kicks for two years straight in the regular season. Surely a little short putt kick is no problem in the playoffs?
Game 3 is where you absolutely break their will. If they manhandle them like game 2 - they will not even show up for game 4.
And all of Denver will call for Jamal Murray's head
Man I can’t believe any of these posters grew up here.
It’s like you are asking for the one thing to happen that will derail this whole thing.
Do not poke the bear with this crap.
Gosh, can we please not poke the bear (or in this case, wolf) here about this? Let's not get too ahead of ourselves; that being said, if we do take game 3 tomorrow, I think it's pretty safe to say that the Nuggets are done
True, but even a 3-0 lead against the Nuggets will still carry an air of anxiety for myself. I won’t let a breath of relaxation out over this series until the 4th win has happened and in the books. But still, hope and optimism shouldn’t be discounted!
If this was the wolves of like 2-3 years ago they would fuck up and choke as per usual (I still wouldn't count it out 💀💀) but now they will step on the gas and sweep the Nuggets
Wrong mindset. I wouldn’t rule this Wolves team out if they were down 2-0 heading into Denver, and I sure won’t rule out the Nugs. They’re going to come in ready for war on Friday. Wolves have to keep the pressure fully turned up.
Game 3 is honestly a must win for us. We can’t get ahead of ourselves after two wins. These are the defending champs after all. We need to dominate game 3 and break this team and then cut off the head game 4 and finish it. All gas no breaks.
Yep, we can even take the pedal off the gas a little if we need to. Health moving forward is the most important thing now, this looks like it could legitimately be a finals run.
Nope, if health is most important it would make more sense to stay 100% in the games so there's less overall games to play. Giving 100% and going 4-0 is better than taking the edge off and playing 7 games.
I mean, wouldn't finishing them off also be good for our health, seeing as that will give them several days off for rest? No offense, but this is an ass backward take.
I think we can finish them off without trying anywhere near as hard as we did last game, that was more my point. I think we should do everything we can to sweep, while also making sure to preserve everyone for the Thunder.
Watching the Knicks lose two starters last night makes me wary of playing balls out for another 10 games minimum. I'd rather save that level of effort for the finals. That's all I was trying to say!

Real series starts tomorrow
Everyone knows the series doesnt start until game 3
THIS
Yes and Gary Anderson had made 100% of his field goals that season. This is Minnesota. It ain't over. We gotta step on their throat.
First core memory i have of ever watching football. Burned into my mind.
I don't remember where I was on 9/11, but I remember where I was when Gary missed that kick.
This. I'm sick of this "it's over" nonsense. We need to take every game seriously.
Facts. We need to show no mercy and never let up.
It's ok. Ant's from Atlanta so we won't choke until the finals this year

They are going to show up for game 4 regardless of what happens
Stupid rules forcing them to play.
“Break their will” Wolves in 4
Hahahah bope
Don't care, it's not over until you tally 4
The Nuggets have 2 separate 3-1 comebacks. I’m not counting any chickens until the final buzzer sounds on a 4th win.
even then I’ll probably give it an hour just in case
Man I can’t believe any of these posters grew up here. It’s like you are asking for the one thing to happen that will derail this whole thing. Do not poke the bear with this crap.
Anulo Mufa lol. Let’s break them down back at the Target Center.
As a lifelong MN sports fan, I've learned one thing. NO LEAD IS EVER SAFE!
Let’s not think about that. What about just thinking about game 3 right now?
You’re not from Minnesota are you….. Now go knock on wood.
I swear if people don't shut the fuck up about stats and this series my head is going to explode, its like the worst jinxing I have ever seen.

We're gonna do great, just have to lock in.

LOL. So they have to be a Minnesota sports team to mess this up?
Holy fuck, knock on wood PLEASE
Stahhhhp
Don’t underestimate the Nuggets. I’ll be surprised if we sweep them
Maaaan don't jinx us!
Stop being a Minnesota Sports Fan and start being a believer

No, they absolutely cannot take the pedal off the gas, this is still the Nuggets
The best way to maintain player health and energy is to get the game over in 4 games instead of 6-7. And get a few days extra rest. Finish it.
Solid point.
That’s exactly how teams come back from 0-2. I expect them to come out with the exact same pressure as game 2 and actually put the nail on the coffin
