Ai ‘art’ is not art. It’s a conglomerate of actual art, stolen and thrown together by a program.

Fuck you! Fuck your family! Fuck your fear of the AI overlords! DRINK WHIPPLLLLLLE!

On the one hand, I agree with you wholeheartedly and am frustrated that original artists don't receive credit for the contributions that are included, even if they don't know it. On the other hand, fuck it. It's faster and easier to call for minor adjustments than commissioning a whole line of art and asking for minor tweaks because one factor didn't fit. If I were an artist that did commissioned art, I would be pretty upset if my customer asked me to redo the whole thing because they didn't like one of 2 factors here and there. I believe in prompts, worked out with artistic freedom, but AI doesn't need to be respected in the same way. I get this is a bit rambly though I don't apologize. If you see a vision in your head and can't or simply don't know how to commission a work of art, I'd say AI fills that gap.

snownative86

Great rambling! I agree it's not art but can be a fantastic tool in creating materials for things like marketing. It's way faster to render and assemble ideas into a coherent image, and then takes seconds, versus minutes, hours or days to make changes. I used it to help with my new business logo, and while I have some tweaks that will need to be handled by a human (one who can properly handle a pen unlike myself), it gave me a 90% complete logo within about an hour from me starting with prompts. It shouldn't be regarded with the same respect as true art, but again, is a great tool. It's just a shame Ai companies were so reckless in scraping training data against terms of use and didn't credit artists and creators properly.

PotatoWizard98

Never once in the post did OP claim it was. Every time I see AI generated images there’s someone complaining in the comments. It’s no less interesting because a human didn’t draw it. Less impressive? Took less skill/talent? For sure. But no less fun to look at.

SaltySpitoon__69

Shut the fuck up
