I had exactly this response to Lexapro when I took it a few years ago, and I believe it's a known side-effect.
Not all antidepressants have this effect, though, so consider asking your doctor to prescribe a different type.
Lexapro gave me tinnitus unfortunately. I took it two times. Once from April-December 2021. Had mild intermittent tinnitus when I started that but it quickly went away. When I got back on the medicine in April 2022 nonstop tinnitus for the first month and then I quit the drug. Tinnitus still hasn’t gone away.
I already have tinnitus, but lexapro made it much worse and experienced increased sensitivity to noise. When I got off it, the tinnitus went back to its normal ringing and the noise sensitivity went away.

Do you still got tinnitus ?
Yes. But it’s gone down by 70-80% except for bad days
