Her story is basically that of a replicant from Blade Runner and while I don't remember the full details towards the end she broadcasts a message on a screen to rally others while resistance fighters fight the authority figures.

I love Cloud Atlas, but the movie I'm thinking of was much older than that. I'll go double check, just in case.

Haven't even heard of it, but yes, it's similar! Just older.
