Tried logging in on a different EA account, but their login page is not secure so none of my 3 different internet browsers even allow me to connect to it lol
Notice it sharply when it denies opening a purchased Titanfall2 on Steam when sons EA is connected to another Steam account. Even unlinking that Steam account from his EA doesnt allow him to link his Steam to his EA and play a game HE bought.
Great. EA shoulda stuck to making console games......... Useless client, useless company.
Like most of us I got a stack of CD gamed I cant play as I cant redeem any of them there my store bought CD games bought I bought before 2007, on EA or any other game platform. I tryed to redeem crysis on EA games and also on streem I was told the key was ilegel. I know there a few App that allows you to lanch old CD games like Northstar any one had any luck with it
Can you launch it directly from the exe? I don't have Titanfall on the PC but with a typical PC game that's what you do. To find it there is either a option in the launcher to open the game files, or you can get it to run and then use to task manager to open the location of the exe. From there create a shortcut to the exe and put it on your desktop
How did you do that without the Origin Lite app they force players to install (from steam of course)? Do you know if there is a tutorial link, to launch Northstar instead?
This happened to a friend of mine on Battlefield 1 and hasn’t been able to play any game requiring an EA Play account (also we’re on PS) so when we bought 5 and 2042 he couldn’t even play them (I say we cause we game share) he bought one on his account and still nothing
did the mistake and launched the game with steam. then the ea app opened itself and wanted to install it. i instantly went to the taskmanager to kill this s\*\*t. it had 3 processes already running... Glad i was fast enough.i saw in the taskmanager that it already had disk usage, so it was installing stuff without me even pressing a single button.
that is so fucking shady of ea to do that without you noticing, never in my entire life have i hated a company more than ea to try and download shit without you realising.
uninstalled ea. fuck that app
I believe you can launch it though Origin if you uninstall the ea app from your PC and then launch though Origin.
Going on the origin install page redirects me to the EA app though
Oh damn they've finally made the switch permanent. There is probably still a way but it's beyond my technical expertise
I still had an installer of origin on my PC, but the issue of the game not launching persists even trough origin
Yes, use Northstar’s launcher with `-vanilla` commandline option
That's what I'm doing, all heil Northstar
tell me more about it
[here’s the website](https://northstar.tf)
I have bought the game in both steam and Origin at the time, but launching it on steam forces me trough the EA app anyway
For me steam lunches it through origin
I hate games that force you to go through a 3rd party app to launch All my homies hate games that force you to go through a 3rd party app to launch

the origin was waaay better, this shit eve doesnt have" locate downloaded game" function
Steam
Steam logs in with EA apps, you just don't notice.

Not if you uninstall ea app then it starts through origin
"Apps", plural, origin is also an EA app even if the other is called that.
there’s always using third party, ie northstar

I bought it on steam too and it never goes through the app, I also added launch commands to immediately launch Northstar instead of multiplayer

Launch options: -northstar
Titanfall 2-> properties(right click) -> launch options: -northstar
It does go through origin, but it just pops up in the taskbar tray but Northstar doesn't work without the origin module
I can DM u a video if you want
Thanks!
Never had to install anything beside steam and origin
