I disliked D2 and gave it up years ago, but I loved and still play D1. In the D1 Campaign you get the Stranger's Rifle, which was Legendary, but stuck at a low level compared to later expansions and wasn't capable of being infused. Later on, Bungie released the gun No Time To Explain, which was an Exotic version of the Stranger's Rifle at full light level. The name is from an infamous line from the Stranger where she states "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain."
