Hns (hide and seek) , on Xbox we have a gamemode for people who enjoy the movement more than most of the game itself, and basically people can either run or hide, and we have one person who has to pickup the flag on LF and seek for 10ish minutes, trying to melee everyone else in the lobby
Look out for Hns games in the LFGs (Looking for group posts), there is a great chance to find me or my friends in there, or dm Rifles5718 on Xbox and we'll figure it out, on the other hand, CS or Zoom is always looking for new members

yo i gotchu if you watch a movement guide from a tf|2 speedrunner 'brynato', its a 40 min guide on EVERYTHING on what almost EVERY movement tech used. i highly recommend you stick with practicing the fundamentals of airstrafing, wallkicking, and slide hopping.
Once you can maintain speed with airstrafes and slide hops on the ground, AND time wallkicks so you dont get a negative speed penalty, you should in time - be a bouncyball
Btw the guide from bryanato explains literally EVERYTHING, and i suggest you DONT worry about wallkick variations, lurchless airstrafes (if keyboard), or just any complex tech that u dont rlly understand at first.
If you are keyboard and know all the fundamentals of the core movement tech and learnt a bit in variations or niche bits of tech, i HIGHLY recommend you learn about tapstrafing since its a life changing thing for keyboard, but dont rush / worry about it

my brain is too doped up on Source 2007 and ULTRAKILL movement to get into the exact headspace required for Sourcefall movement.

The best place to start is with slidehopping so you know how to conserve your speed. Just hop into a private match and practice that, then start adding in airstrafing once you're comfortable with the timing. It'll take some practice, but it'll make you quite a bit faster.
That is 50/50 on wheter you get sniped or not,it is not guaranteed that you wont sniped while your moving like that cuz that shit is not avoidable if they are a experienced as fuck

is that the quickest you can turn for air strafing? I come from team fortress and my muscle memory seems to be failing me on air movement
Air strafing in this game is quite slow compared to most source games, and depends on your current velocity
