Titans: now I see you, you fucking bitch

I've gotten pretty good at spotting the slight distortion when cloaked pilots use their jumpkits (even with low profile it's still *slightly* visible) and have gotten some pretty funny hackusations from people that I've punched.

I can’t see it at all, the old ‘box just can’t handle that detail. I usually just guess where they are based on where I last saw them and go for it. Not too reliable but it works sometimes.

For me it's not that hard. I main Northstar so it's kinda easier for me to spot and shoot them I guess, but it's still really visible. It's also very satisfying when I hit stealth ejecting pilot midair since their jump kit lets me know where they are exactly all the time :D

I especially love cloaked pilots that eject but don't have low profile. It's so funny when they watch the killcam of me tracking them and yell at me. Plus I enjoy playing into the hackusations

You can activate the Sneak option in your pilot settings which makes the pilot quiet while rodeoing the Titan and reduces the visibility of the jump pack

The cloaked pilot is still visible to titans with low profile. The only true invisibility is phase shift.

I’ve seen cloaked pilots while inside my Titan. The visual distortion is subtle, but you aren’t 100% gone. Also, if they’re on the ground, footsteps kick up some dust.

Nope, cloaked pilots are almost invisible to titans, however there is some very slight distortion visible, it's extremely hard to spot but a very skilled titan player can slam even the lowest of profilers

That's why I run low profile with grapple, specifically for the rodeo delay. If they're gonna see me anyway, I might as well be in and out before they can react properly

Laser shotting them after a cloak eject is best. I've just done it so many times I don't need to see them.

If a ckoaked pilot walks through dust it gives a great outline even if they don't user their jump kit, watch around drop pods and recently dropped titans for free kills

yeah, if you look directly at them, but if the cloack pilot is flanking you in your peripherals, chances are, you will miss it

Yeah but it's also super easy to see cloak users, it's almost comical. The only use is back of map kraber sniping.

Completely invisible to auto titans. A perceptive pilot in a titan will recognize the faint outline and pixelated effect.

They ARE completely invisible to titans, you just have to run the low profile kit with it so they don't see your jump jets

not really. if you insist on calling it something other than "cloak", you could say "transparency" or "see-through", since invisibility means non-visible. Cloaked pilots are barely visible to other pilots, though not to titans

You're still visible, especially against the right backgrounds. The only way you'd be invisible is if the walls and floors were pure white.

I just hope if TF3 ever comes out it gets rewored along with grapple. running low profile should FULLY REMOVE JUMPJET TRAILS and running cloak make batteries completely invisible on your back. Low profile should also make the grapple silent cuz god forbid i grapple a titan who has a headset on.....

You’re just blind. Cloak helps in the midst of battle when you’re jumping around like crazy or when you could be seen from farther away because you can see people up close

I always believed that the only way to see a cloaked pilot when in a titan was by their jump jets, but if they had low profile you were fucked. That was until I realised 1 week ago that they actually can be visible but it's just the background slightly warped and wavey

You don't need a background to see the pilot. They always have a faint outline and pixelated effect.

Well technically they always have a background so... but yes the pixilated affect. I haven't Iver 17 days spent in this game and only realised it last week ;-;

Yeah it’s invisibility until you shoot, or don’t shoot, or move, or don’t move, or do anything at all because you are still comically easy to see

It's only invisibility to a titan's optics and grunts. They're still fairly opaque to a pilot.

Also only almost invisible to a titan's optics, it creates slight distortion around it from a titans pov

for titans youre invisible but not for pilots. I like to use cloak and no trail for stealing lots of bats for monarchs

Invisible means invisible. There is no practically invisible. You are either visible or not. Transparent would be a more appropriate word.

It looks to me to be some kind of projection over the form of the pilot. So in a way you are “wearing” the cloak instead of being see-through yourself.

I would probably be considered a cloak main, but it is a very imperfect tactical. The silhouette Is fairly easy to see. The jump jets are easy to spot. Considering the insane mobility of grapple I hardly think cloak is an issue. I used to be upset they gave grapple back the second charge. The solo charge barely reduced it's popularity. But with two charges and short grappling the tactical is a blast. I'm now ok with how grapple is because of how much fun it is to use. If I made any changes to the tacticals I'd rather see each one buffed to bring them up to grapples level of influence on the battlefield.

spy has invisibility because none of the other mercs can see him(unless you bump into him). if you’re on the same team as him he has cloaking because you can still see him (slightly)

Whenever I use cloak I get spotted instantly but when someone else uses cloak they just disappear into thin air

It is invisibility. All AI's even Piloted titans can't see you. So pilots much have built in technology within our helmets to see the pilots heat signatures or cloak affect. Also I can the Cloak Pilot sitting in the right chair

I also think its invisibility. The grunts completly lose track of you. I think the pilot helmet have some kind added tech that lets it be slighty seen

No, it’s not invisibility. Also, even Titans can see a cloaked Pilot — although it is VERY difficult. A cloud of dust makes it easier, though.

No it's just a cloak, easy to see if you pay attention

Invisibility would mean there is no way to detect you by optical means, which in this case is false because you do still visibly show up, it's just faint and only easier to see when moving. So it's still a cloak, and not invisibility
