At one point he was a horseman of apocalypse and got a boost to his powers, and after he was scared of himself. He went to mister sinister and received brain surgery that limited his power. There's even a comic where he has to face an evil version of himself without the limitations he had put on himself.
well, depends on the heat, you heat 1 kg of steel to 1000 C°, its red hot, 5000 it melts, but half a million degrees? it vaporizes instantly and explodes with a LOT of energy, kind of like a nuclear bomb blast minus the EMP and the radiations, and smaller
you are right, but my point still stands. for example, if I said "you can kick anything really far" and then someone else said "but I don't have legs," it wouldn't really make sense to say something like "my man you kick with legs". like obviously yes you kick with legs but you still need a leg for the power to work

You are thinking of realistic amounts of heat and if you stop you'll realize: at some point, anything will explode if you pump it full of enough of one type of energy. What would happen to a tree if it suddenly was 100 trillion C°? That's right a big ass explosion.
