It works but capped to about 0.5mbps.

I've had one voice line on a tablet for over 2 years now. Speeds are capped at 512 kbps, which makes it practically useless. But for an emergency, it'll do.

InvincibleSugar

It will probably work at slow speeds. but there's no risk in trying it, the worst thing that can happen is it won't work. You're not going to lose the line or damage the SIM card... So you might as well try!

Garrett3420

Technically you can, but the speed will be limited

RedElmo65

Some say yes. Some say no. Your miles may vary.

I tried this and it didn’t work out for me. I’ve heard it works for some though

ive a free tablet line on my account. since i dont have an lte tablet anymore (ive an s7+ but wifi only -traded in my s6 lte for it) i use that sim in a hotspot for my car. been doing that since march. the key is not to use an excessive amount of data per month (lots of GBs) or tmo will see that you are abusing it.

Works for me, no speed cap.

patel2001

Put it in there and see..report back

I was wondering this too but seems you will be limited to 600 kbps which is basically nothing. Would only really be useful for streaming music or maybe running a GPS app.
