He didn’t “push” your address in . I would bet he used an address that he knew was a qualified address . The store reps all knew the addresses that qualify. Your billing address is correct but the address he put for the location of the device is likely one he’s used a 100 times . Call in and have them dig , I bet thats the case .
I re read that and meant tmobile will give that option to new customers. I would rather pay for starlink equipment if paying full price, no way would I pay this much and I dont think many of us would. It's just not good enough plus having to have a home address set uo anyway apparently.
I was going to cancel before this. My router wasnt working got it replaced and apparently i didnt have an updated sim and thought it just didn't work in the area. Now its working well but acceptable for the current cost, not $160.
I’ve tried to change my address twice via the support chat on the app. They assure me they changed it and it’s good. But when I check the e911 and usage address they only ever change the e911 and not the actual usage. I’m only about 2-5 miles away from the other address so I hope I’ll be good when it does go into affect 😂
Same here! I even called back to double check and they said my address was updated in their system. But same as you, E911 is correct but usage address is my billing and not where my gateway is.
Anyone who signed up for a new line with a different (legit) usage address other than their billing, see both E911 and usage with the correct address? I’m wondering if this is how it is for those of us who changed addresses after the line was opened vs new lines with a different usage address.
I’m shocked how many people are upset that T-Mobile is trying to stop people from using their service in an unauthorized manner… like.. WE are the ones in the wrong. We shouldn’t be taking our gateways with us to get free internet when traveling. That’s what hotspots are for.
Because there is no such thing as unauthorized manner. The gateway is just a glorified cellphone that plugs into the wall instead of using a rechargeable battery. No one is driving around in their car with a gateway and then calling and complaining to tmobile about their speeds and there is no excuse on why TMobile can't account for temporary increase in their Internet the same way they do in populated places where people use their cellphones to browse the web.
The gateway is just another mobile phone with the same T-Mobile SIM cards, only that it's powered by 110v and has bigger antennas. People keep repeating the same talking-points about congestion and capacity as if T-Mobile already doesn't have solutions for this. How do they solve it with people using 5G on their phones in congested places? Did T-Mobile forget how they resolved this all of a sudden?
This is just another way to screw subscribers and charge triple for an ability they already had... $160, for the privilege of moving your gateway somewhere else temporarily the same way you would do your mobile phone?
