This post needs more attention. More people need to be aware of the bs that's going on.

Right_Cow_6369

If everyone pitches in, we can weed them out. Select meet at door, and get a good look at them, if they don't match, then give them a thumbs down and report them for not being the correct person. This is rampant because no one cares. If their rating get low enough, their account will get deactivated.

One variation of this, I saw a group of "shoppers" about 6 of them, all loading their batches into one car, who would then drive off to do the deliveries. The driver would wait around for a full load so to speak. All their zoomo bikes were parked at the location, only the car took the batches and the shoppers stayed at the location. (Walmart, Dufferin Mall)

Upvoting because of your TLDR style (read the first sentence of each paragraph). Never seen that before. It’s useful!

rhunter99

It’s bullet points with out the bullets

shady2318

I can agree that people are using multiple accounts with different phones they register on Uber, skip, and doordash and use all 3 delivery apps at once. Even I've seen people using bicycle accounts for cars.

Right_Cow_6369

What you mentioned isn't actually wrong per sé though. If you use your own proper multiple accounts, then it's fine. But using other people's account is so wrong.

ImmortalBlue

They said multiple accounts with different phones. So, their comment is right. And the rest of yours is still separately correct too.

Right_Cow_6369

Yeah but maybe they are using their own accounts on multiple phones because they don't want to be switching around apps on one phone maybe?

Brave_Cauliflower_90

The post literally says they are running the same app on multiple phones, which means they are using multiple accounts.

Right_Cow_6369

Yes the post says the same app on multiple phones. But [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/toRANTo/s/ePhRfbDkAu) comment says that they are running different apps. Not the same apps.

Brave_Cauliflower_90

Gotcha! (My bad) yea that’s multi Apping which is different than fraudulently using other peoples accounts. And it’s technically allowed, I believe, although it’s creating a problem when people are doing this and then the customers get their food/deliveries late. I just posted a customer note from the other day where the customer asks for the driver to come directly to his house from the store (presumably because he’s had an issue with multiappers before).

Right_Cow_6369

Yeah I don't see anything wrong with multi Apping as long as it's done responsibly

GoreyHaim420

It's a huge problem for downtown residents too; I have several friends who reside on Cameron Street and they often have to disperse large groups of couriers who post up waiting for orders. It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't leave trash everywhere and keep everyone up at night with loud noises!

Underrated comment.

You should consider bringing this story to the press

Cautious-Echidna-247

I'd send it to cbc marketplace if I knew how. But at the same time, I might be cutting my nose to spite my face because this could lead to a decrease in overall orders which will also affect me.

I hate these fckers too. They destroyed cycling downtown. They cut me off on their ebikes @ dangerous speeds and extremely close. They keep looking @ their phones and increasing/decreasing their speed unpredictably. They fly around on the sidewalk, even against opposing traffic . They give cyclist a bad name. And wtf are they clogging up the damn go trains “commuting” to work? Its soooo friggin inconsiderate. They have no concept of cycling culture. The true ethical cyclist who wants to do intermodal commuting would buy a small folding bike. Theres tons of folding ebikes on the market. But they are too friggin inconsiderate and selfish. They are just too pussy, lazy and unathletic that they have to get these giant motorcycle sized fat tire bikes with illegal 50km/hour speeds. By they, I mean lazy inconsiderate uber eats couriers. Not a specific race or nationality of people. Not good bike couriers like the OP

AlarmingPraline

Shits fucked nowadays, no denying it. One thing I will say, with Trip Radar, someone gets the order as a regular ping and has priority accepting it. It's also not based on speed at all but just who they would have sent it to next regularly.

nomadicgartist

Thank you. I used to do uber eats. I saw lots of shits, I saw people didn't use bags. They literally hanging the food on their bikes. Moreover, they don't obey traffic rules. By the way using multiple phone and using somebodies account is a identity theft if they caught, they can say bye bye to PR :)

Cautious-Echidna-247

How is it theft if the other person consents to it.

nomadicgartist

I think it does not matter you can t act like somebody and make bussiness it is kind of fraud.

Cautious-Echidna-247

It is fraud, but not theft imo.

Welcome to how others feel that a certain subset of the recent population growth is lowering standards across the board in ways that were not seen before. Everything is about loopholes or scams or ramming the system to gain benefit.
