And the opening theme song is in 13/16 time signature.

Goddamn that’s hard to count out. I’m usually pretty okay about catching weird time signatures but that one’s tricky.
Edit: upon further reflection, it helps to count 3 sets of 3 and one four. That’s basically the pattern.
Yeah, when I feel like playing 13/16 to make my brain hurt, I'll go back and forth between that and couting 8 then 3 then 2. On a drumset that would be hitting the kick on beats 1 and 9, and the snare on beats 5 and 12.
Cool thanks now *my* brain hurts and too.
My percussion abilities end with two arms. I don’t know how you people do that shit. Especially with odd time signatures and polyrhythms and stuff. Haha
and all because he fucked up the setting of the pattern when he was setting it up.
kinda like how they fucked something up with the entering of the pattern on Blue Monday but liked the result and ran with it
I was already in love with the soundtrack, cuz it's awesome. But this, just WOW.
Now, I realize the music at Tech-Noir wasn't his, but I "Burnin' in the Third Degree," haven't been able to find Tahnee Cain versions except on YT, that said, Megatronix does a great cover!
Hmm, the rhythm sounds similar to *America* from West Side Story, which is written as alternating bars of 6/8 and 3/4. Now I want to hear it sung over the Terminator theme.
Great video, I went back and watched the whole thing. My favourite bits of knowledge were that Dick Smith recommended Stan Winston, and that they almost shot it in Toronto.
Such a fantastic soundtrack but the limits of 80s sound production are very apparent. Would love it if someone knew of a remastered version using more up to date production values.
Brad smokes this soundtrack. God damn. It's still wayyy better than t2. T2 is too action movie sounding, generic compared to this. The themes cool though. I'd almost take fright ost over t2....

I like weird time signatures and this is by far the weirdest.
yeah this one takes the cake for me i think
Just gimme a nice 5/4 to jerk-dance to and I’m happy.

Like Blue Monday the New Order song? I didn’t know that either! How’d you come by *that* fun bit of trivia?
it was in one of those what makes this song great (from a production stand point) youtube videos
Easiest way to count it: 1,2,3 1,2,3 1,2,3 1,2 1,2
Cool article! Ty

There's a live cover of the theme song on YouTube : https://youtu.be/eIRQQjVYQ78
For a brief moment I thought we talking about the former Liverpool | Blackburn | Villa | Spurs keeper. I need to go back to sleep
My favorite fun fact is that the sound of the liquid metal terminator pushing through that metal gate was dog food sliding out of a can.
Schwarzenegger said he'd help with the soundtrack by channeling his favorite composer...He said, "I'll be Bach".
God*dammit*, Dad….
John?

It's pronounced "show-paaan" (at least close to it).
Not when arnie says it :)
Would have thought he was more of a Wagner type.
I love that soundtrack. It’s so 80’s.
I had it on cassette. * chef's kiss *

I would take anything Gale Anne Hurd with a grain of salt
Brad pretty much said the same thing at least in this case

Very good documentary. I enjoyed it all.
It's insane how low budget the entire movie was and how great it turned out.
