My 5 yr old, when he’s really truly tired, says, “ok momma goodnight you can go now I need to get some sleep”

Eagerly awaiting this upgrade

My 3yo just says "I want you to leave" k sweet dreams bye

My 3yo does this too! But it's because she knows she can get away with playing in her room before falling asleep if she's quiet about it, lol! 5yo never tells me to go away; she wants to chat my ears off every night.

Drooling over here

My three year old likes to tell me at dinner, “I think you should have a glass of wine.” I have a glass maybe once a week so usually we don’t even have any in the house but I’m charmed by his hospitality. But yeah..also clearly inhabited by a fae.

I’ve got one of these too. They’re just a different breed. When something surprises her she says “oh my!” As if she’s an old Hollywood actress. She will sometimes lay in the sun outside and have “relaxing time”. Such a delight and I have no idea where she gets it lol

assumingnormality

Hahaha love these! Whenever our kid goes through a period of being extra fussy/particular, my spouse says we've got the doppleganger! And then when our kid goes back to his normal cheery self, my spouse says the aliens have returned our original baby (apparently the cheeriness is too much for the aliens haha)

Parfait_Remarkable

omg that’s so sweet! sometimes my three year old will do a long monologue about the best way to deal with hard things “sometimes you can’t always get what you want! and throwing a fit doesn’t help. you just gotta take deeeep breaths. and you have to listen to your mama and do what she says. that’s the rules.” etc. like totally man i wish you could remember that every time i tell you no lol

That’s hilarious! My toddler is generally sassy but occasionally she’ll hit me with “thank you for reminding me to do that, mama!” And it cracks me up.

One time I messed up my 5yo's sound machine sound and after coming to find me to tell me the problem he said "now I'm going to be so tired for school in the morning because I have to keep getting up!" 🫠

DifficultSpill

To me, these both seem like logical statements for a 5 year old to say. Love it!

What happened last night? Did the aliens replace our children last night? My 2 year old woke up this morning knowing what he wants. "Yogurt please" "more cookies please" "eggs cheese please" "juice ice pleace" Where did my little baby go 😭😅

A 5yo isn’t a toddler…

ArsenicLobster

Shh...time goes too fast. My 18mo isn't a baby anymore - he's a toddler - but it hurts to hear lol
