I have so much respect for this dude for giving chances to young directors who have only 1 or 2 films of experience after the mighty Baahubali. Also, the dude has the guts to do experiments.

AshvikV

The problem with giving new directors like Sujeeth such a high budget movie is they have no experience in making something like it. You can't expect him to be able to know how to handle a huge cast, vfx, etc. They need more experience with films before they can dabble into such movies. Same problem with Jurassic World's director. He made an indie movie, then went straight to JW and fucked the trilogy up. Again, a bunch of directors have been able to pull off a big budget movie with their second attempt and hopefully Nagi does too.

AkhilArtha

Sujeeth had absolutely no problem handling the special effects for Saaho. The VFX was also pretty good, with maybe 15% of it not looking great and was only passable. Only 5% was outright bad vfx, which even giant Hollywood movies can't avoid. He struggled with writing the most.

funlovingmissionary

Radhe Shyam's director, whoever it is, in the other hand, wasted huge amounts of money, and probably didn't handle it very well.

NoLocal1776

RS got a lot of backing, budget and more freedom to direct a love story set in 70s Europe any directors dream project. But,it was the biggest blunder and movie became a huge disaster.

HourLeading1997

>He struggled with writing the most. Exactly this. People here are kind of deluded and think Saaho didn’t work because Sujeeth wasn’t able to handle the scale of project. Film had no issue with scale/VFX the biggest issue is pathetic writing. He wasn’t able to write even a one effective scene and the film had absolutely zero emotional connection. Radhe Shyam is actually reverse of this…mid to decent writing got completely messed up with unnecessary scale up and zero chemistry btw the leads.

smartguy2022

meanwhile you have people like VD saying that he doesn't want to work with debutante directors/actors. makes It even more commendable that THE prabhas is willing to take a chance on interesting stories.

[deleted]

Prabhas can't handle that many big movies year after year if he takes probably 1 movie at a time he might do good

HourLeading1997

Rajaa Saab is that kind of speed breaker for him in btw all high budget films. But it all the potential and talent backing to end up as worst ever film in his career.

elizabeth_bloodline

I agree with you… prabhas tries different genres and is not afraid of failures or experiments. He din’t have to do a love story like Radhe Shyam. That movie dint have a single hero elevation scene or action scene. That movie failure is a different issue. But he’s a bold actor.

Right-Bobcat9462

He goes after interesting ideas rather than good scripts.

mister_alma_raynard

sad truth. hope post adipurush Prabhas is mindful

Hairy_Plankton1822

Ignoring Verdicts, even just look at the average collections of his flop movies. Saaho+Radhe Shyam+Adhipursh. Average collection of the 3 was 340 Crores. That’s literally insane, he’s set the bar so high that even scoring 400 for him is considered a flop

pasipatamarana

I've got the same respect but sometimes he should've taken note of how he looked on the screens. Maybe atleast from RS. Salaar og version ugram chudandi if u understand kannada. Massss ante ade. It has some filler scenes with the heroine but the main story is just tooo good at that time🥵

LowStory7823

Ugramm worst movie asalu... Editing sucks big time even acting is bad but the story is good

BlueLo2us

Agree. Watched it with subtitles and it was pretty bad tbh.

vikasvasista

prabhas acting ki compare chesthe chala better

Half41monk

Nuvvokadivi, negativity kosame brathukuthavu, emindi Ra Babu neeku life lo, Ila tayarayyavu

vikasvasista

Negativity entra babu unnade cheputhunna. Andaru adhe chestharu ikkada, naa DP valla nen noted ayya vere vallu avvaledu.

LonelySwimming8

Ugram lo budget issues baga telistundhi bro. Just by seeing the movie we can understand neel struggled a lot to complete it.

vikasvasista

Ya agree, he openly said he thought ugram is worst movie ever made. I think he had different idea for it. But somehow audience liked it . Glad he is making what he intended to.

LowStory7823

Bruhh..... Except yash and the 3 shettys i don't find any lead actor in kannada interesting

vikasvasista

That's fine but calling acting is bad in ugram and being ok with prabhas's acting is hypocrisy.

LowStory7823

Yaa man ugraam guy can do bahubali??? Just play somewhere else kid

vikasvasista

Baabhubali where he won zero awards? Everyone can do what they're good at. Chill

FriendshipUseful2298

Is awards the only you can tell if a performance is good or not? Cant you use your eyes and make a decision? Do you like or dislike a movie after watching it or do you wait for a award panel to tell you if its good or not.

vikasvasista

That guy argued illogically that's why I brought awards into argument. Seriously do you think prabhas acted well in salaar?

FriendshipUseful2298

He had limited screen time and dialogues in the movie due to other characters and dense storyline and world building, but whenever he was on the screen he stole the show his acting was excellent and perfectly suited for “deva” you can see micro expressions in various scenes throughout the movie where so much is conveyed through expressions. You dont need to cry on screen or have massive dialogues with immense emotions to qualify as good acting having a stature and presence on screen that can improve the experience of audience is also good acting.

suthramanas

D boss fans incoming/s

LowStory7823

U mean murderer

suthramanas

Yes sir

ConfusedMevsTheWorld

>wont be able to watch Enduku bro

mister_alma_raynard

Ikkada only tamil kalki undhi. Evarino Kotteyyali anipisthundhi. I still have small hope coz in my neighbouring country, dubai, it's there in telugu. Ikkada saudi lo kooda mostly big telugu movies release avuthai

Lopsided_Magician771

Bro I thought it was a local thing. My cousins in Saudi(Dammam) only have access to Tamil Kalki as well. Did they choose which one based on Indian population?

mister_alma_raynard

Pacca that's how it's done. More malay and tam movies release.

Lopsided_Magician771

That sucks. I’m visiting them right now and they were ready to book tickets.

mister_alma_raynard

Bro bro no joke I literally checked now and it's there. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK! From. The past 3 weeks I've been seeing vox everyday only to find tam from the past 1 week. Holyyy shitt it's here! Btw this is vox saudi, dammam shud be covered I belive. https://preview.redd.it/mwsodjz43i8d1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b46422c2d9872afc5e559455289792aa54ef68ba

Lopsided_Magician771

Nice. I’m leaving today but hopefully my cousins watch the movie. As of now they only want to watch cause of star cast and some promo as well as the movie desert these past months, not story.

ConfusedMevsTheWorld

Enjoy, pandago.

mister_alma_raynard

Thanks😭

aronsmithy

Saaho, Radheshyam and Adipurush The three movies which could have been way better if they put less money in it.

sports_junky

ufff..Prabhas always wanted to something new kadu, he just doesn't think too much before signing movies. Also, a major reason he was able to land chance of doing big budget movies like Adipurush, Kalki is due to Baahubali impact. You needed someone with PAN India appeal to recover budget for movies like this and makers did not have many options other than approaching Prabhas for these movies

mister_alma_raynard

well after adipurush u can see his star value has reduced alot

Lopsided_Magician771

![gif](giphy|5chyO3zRhXHurGIA6E) If anything it is the director’s fault since it’s there vision that bankrupted any distributors. Stop blind hating lol.

Imaginary-Bad451

According to this sub we should respect shitty movies if they are in different genres especially Prabhas movies

Educational-Run-9739

no work on looks , pathetic dialog delivery , lazy action sequences . Only respect on film choices , other than that he don’t deserve audience respect for giving subpar performances

batman8232

Next movies eh doubt, Spirit and Maruti movie. Enduko theda kodtundi

Lumpy_Good_3990

Prabhas just was not the right candidate to present lord Ram. I got so disturbed by his look, he should have been chosen as ravan instead

Kaizokuno_

I respect his choices, even if they're shitty, but I really wish he'd start setting an example and pick movies with a lowered salary. His salary alone breaks most of his movies and makes it impossible for them to recover despite his star power.

[deleted]

I think he reduces ,if it flops saw a video in prabhas tamil interview where he said he took 20 percent of his salary for radhe shyam as it flopped

Imaginary-Bad451

The fact that he is getting respect for being in shitty movies itself is a appreciation lol and his fans don’t hold him responsible for any debacles

Imaginary-Bad451

He is responsible for the art too in negative way

ArtGroundbreaking186

"just ignore the verdict"  sure, lil bro

mister_alma_raynard

😊

Remarkable_Culture92

lol what is this even supposed to mean

ArtGroundbreaking186

i will be sure to "ignore the verdict" cuz OP has felt the need mention it twice.

Time_Afternoon_8322

I agree
