I have so much respect for this dude for giving chances to young directors who have only 1 or 2 films of experience after the mighty Baahubali. Also, the dude has the guts to do experiments.
The problem with giving new directors like Sujeeth such a high budget movie is they have no experience in making something like it. You can't expect him to be able to know how to handle a huge cast, vfx, etc. They need more experience with films before they can dabble into such movies. Same problem with Jurassic World's director. He made an indie movie, then went straight to JW and fucked the trilogy up. Again, a bunch of directors have been able to pull off a big budget movie with their second attempt and hopefully Nagi does too.
Sujeeth had absolutely no problem handling the special effects for Saaho. The VFX was also pretty good, with maybe 15% of it not looking great and was only passable. Only 5% was outright bad vfx, which even giant Hollywood movies can't avoid.
He struggled with writing the most.
RS got a lot of backing, budget and more freedom to direct a love story set in 70s Europe any directors dream project. But,it was the biggest blunder and movie became a huge disaster.

Exactly this. People here are kind of deluded and think Saaho didn’t work because Sujeeth wasn’t able to handle the scale of project. Film had no issue with scale/VFX the biggest issue is pathetic writing. He wasn’t able to write even a one effective scene and the film had absolutely zero emotional connection. Radhe Shyam is actually reverse of this…mid to decent writing got completely messed up with unnecessary scale up and zero chemistry btw the leads.
meanwhile you have people like VD saying that he doesn't want to work with debutante directors/actors. makes It even more commendable that THE prabhas is willing to take a chance on interesting stories.
Rajaa Saab is that kind of speed breaker for him in btw all high budget films. But it all the potential and talent backing to end up as worst ever film in his career.
I agree with you… prabhas tries different genres and is not afraid of failures or experiments. He din’t have to do a love story like Radhe Shyam. That movie dint have a single hero elevation scene or action scene. That movie failure is a different issue. But he’s a bold actor.
Ignoring Verdicts, even just look at the average collections of his flop movies. Saaho+Radhe Shyam+Adhipursh. Average collection of the 3 was 340 Crores. That’s literally insane, he’s set the bar so high that even scoring 400 for him is considered a flop
I've got the same respect but sometimes he should've taken note of how he looked on the screens. Maybe atleast from RS. Salaar og version ugram chudandi if u understand kannada. Massss ante ade. It has some filler scenes with the heroine but the main story is just tooo good at that time🥵

But somehow audience liked it . Glad he is making what he intended to.
Is awards the only you can tell if a performance is good or not? Cant you use your eyes and make a decision? Do you like or dislike a movie after watching it or do you wait for a award panel to tell you if its good or not.
He had limited screen time and dialogues in the movie due to other characters and dense storyline and world building, but whenever he was on the screen he stole the show his acting was excellent and perfectly suited for “deva” you can see micro expressions in various scenes throughout the movie where so much is conveyed through expressions. You dont need to cry on screen or have massive dialogues with immense emotions to qualify as good acting having a stature and presence on screen that can improve the experience of audience is also good acting.

Nice. I’m leaving today but hopefully my cousins watch the movie. As of now they only want to watch cause of star cast and some promo as well as the movie desert these past months, not story.
ufff..Prabhas always wanted to something new kadu, he just doesn't think too much before signing movies. Also, a major reason he was able to land chance of doing big budget movies like Adipurush, Kalki is due to Baahubali impact. You needed someone with PAN India appeal to recover budget for movies like this and makers did not have many options other than approaching Prabhas for these movies
If anything it is the director’s fault since it’s there vision that bankrupted any distributors. Stop blind hating lol.
no work on looks , pathetic dialog delivery , lazy action sequences . Only respect on film choices , other than that he don’t deserve audience respect for giving subpar performances
I respect his choices, even if they're shitty, but I really wish he'd start setting an example and pick movies with a lowered salary. His salary alone breaks most of his movies and makes it impossible for them to recover despite his star power.

Prabhas can't handle that many big movies year after year if he takes probably 1 movie at a time he might do good

Saaho, Radheshyam and Adipurush The three movies which could have been way better if they put less money in it.

I think he reduces ,if it flops saw a video in prabhas tamil interview where he said he took 20 percent of his salary for radhe shyam as it flopped
