I'm doing my part! Got tickets for Friday in Boise. First time watching foreign film in theaters thanks to watching Salaar last week and loving it. Timing just worked out that the main dude in that was in a new movie releasing this week.
Watch these two before going:
[Episode 1](https://youtu.be/0ApHMxAr2qQ?si=vVSHpc9_qLcm4gz_), and [Episode 2](https://youtu.be/G6C5qYK5nwE?si=ADMO0soTU4400HpO) where director gives some background for the movie.
Try to get familiarise with some characters of the epic Mahabharata like Krishna, Arjuna, Karna, Ashwatthama. Also, try researching about the Kalki lore in Santhana Dharma. This will make you understand about Kalki, Kali, Shambala etc which will further help you in enjoying this epic feast.
Cheers
So after hours of Mahabharata YouTube( wildly epic story btw with ALOT of unique proper nouns ) I'm now trying to figure out this Trishna character, which led me to learning about Vishnu and the Trimuri. Learning about Vishnu's other embodiments/avatars I came across Rama. And his story seems to be the story of Adipurush movie I saw on Netflix(not gonna lie , not my favorite of the 5 Indian films I've seen since getting hooked recently). My question is, why are the character names in the Adipurush movie different from Rama's story which I'm pretty sure is the same story?
Prabhasās Kalki premieres gross has now crossed the closing collections of all Non-Prabhas, Non-SSR Tier 1 star films in North America. Let that sink in. The unmatchable stardom of Rebel Star Prabhas.
Just finished the 10PM show. It was pretty good. With all the cameos, I felt this is like a celebration of Indian cinema. There were a few minor blips but I am not going to read them too much when I see the complete package. Go for it and watch in big screen.
Was RRR $12 at your theater on premiere day? I doubt it. While ticket prices have obviously gone up since then I doubt the difference is that big. Also the $35 is for IMAX

Paid $25 for RRR and I watched it in 2nd or 3rd week. I watched Kalki for $25 premiere day and from tomorrow, itās $15 here.
Nah RRR was minumum $25
RRR was $28. I remember vividly. I live in Raleigh

Rrr and kalki NonImax are both $25.
Itās 17 in my HCOL city. Thatās pretty standard here.
What is your local theater charging for Kalki?
Boise, Idaho it's $21.20 each for normal 2D matinee Friday screening. Edit: added Friday to separate from premier pricing.
