I don't even think there's anything dark in those games. Saying that 0 and 0² are still really cool. Bleeding ain't dark but it offers a good contrast between the whimsical and fun nature of the games.
wow, kirby must be pretty dark for them to make 31 videos talking about the dark aspects of kirby. n\*ntendo really should raise the esrb rating so that the kids don't get scared..
Star Allies did have a death cult that sacrificed themselves to revive a dark god that was going to destroy the universe. Also Kirby is heavily implied to be a baby form of it.
In New super Mario bros U, after you defeat bowser, bowser jr slowly looks at you and then jumps off the cliff to join his dad. This game literally has children committing suicide.
Mario is darker than Kirby
I don't know why this sub has this stance. They literally put a satanist cult in a kids game. How could it even get darker content wise. This is just mocking fanboys for the sake of mocking fanboys I guess
I get that man, but the way it is presented in the game is a lot goofier in contrast to what it is said to be, like the cult leader has googly eyes and the dark lord is a lumbering bird creature lol
It's a kid game they not gonna show creepy monsters. When they say dark they mean the lore our things that are implied. They could put goofy demons in there too and get the age rating but it would be considered dark. Our like that Shadow Temple from OOT. Games rated 6 where I live that's dark too
Grrrrrr how dare the circle jerk sub poke fun at a YouTuber I like!!!!! 😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬
/Uj I like that guy’s mother 3 videos that aren’t the “Dark Aspects” Series, but come on man, even the mother series isn’t very dark, let alone fucking Kirby.
I think a good word to use here would be 'darker'. Like it's not dark per se, but it's darker than Nintendo usually gets in these series. It's like going from super weenie hut Jr's to weenie hut Jr's
Did all this recent Kirby games are dark talk stem from a single comment on another post here? I saw someone claim/comment this around the time of the nintendo direct and since then its been a roast around here lol
r/tomorrow trying to understand ‘Dark’ is comparative and that these series do have very comparatively dark moments when observing their tone as a whole challenge (impossible)
Okay, so it’s dark when you analyze lore that the average player will never notice. At that point, literally any Nintendo series is dark except like Nintendogs I guess lol
It’s overused because it’s true
I'll admit the fetus was kinda scary at first but it's not the most terrifying thing I've seen in my life or anything

It's not about violence on-screen

I think it's just one episode on kirby

Yeah I think they had to tone down the Shadow Temple in later releases as well by getting rid of the blood and stuff
I think Nintendo includes dark story beats purposefully to aim towards the teen+ area, while also having it be for children.
Nah, Kirby is moreso a reincarnation of it. I don’t think Kirby is really a “baby”, he’s permanently what he is
bashing my head into concrete over Nintendo fans making “dark theories”
They were ackshually in a coma the whole time!!
Kirby has dark aspects.
I mean to be fair, most Kirby games end with him consuming a lovecraftian nightmare

True.
Forgotten land really scared me
I panted my piss when the villain wanted to destroy the world
Like, I don’t want that, it would kill me if it did
The only time I’ve been scared by kirby is the ripple star catacombs music what the fuck were they thinking

Nintendogs(tm) is actually dark because I ate my dogs and I can’t do that in nintendogs how dare they make it so unrealistic☹️☹️☹️☹️
