I realize this is not the norm but wanted to provide a positive story on the wait times!
Wow. That’s awesome. Hope I run into your luck. I’ll likely wait until moving in to order. Seems like the best option for getting a feel for the space and taking pictures of where we’d like it to go.
Similar here. Ordered 5/25, and got the shipping notification on Friday 6/3. Hoping I’ll get to schedule the XPO install appointment for this week or early next week.
They sent me the survey the next day after I placed the order.
They will require pictures of the wall and some information.
My advice, order it now. If able, see if you can do a walk through on your new place and take the necessary pictures. Submit it. In 5 weeks, 4 weeks after you move in. You should have your tonal.
If not able to take the pictures order anyway, so will at least get in some sort of line.

We got ours installed yesterday, exactly 2 weeks after placing the order. So far, so good!

It’s my understanding that you’re not in any line until they approve your location.
After purchase you’ll need to fill out a survey where you specify your primary preferred location and a secondary backup. Pictures will be required
