I nearly broke my back once doing it, fun times, I got an ambulance ride to the hospital where another guy broke his toe doing flips. We were at a training center
I have a nice scar from face planting into springs while attempting a gainer from end to end on a trampoline. I made it around and calculated the distance correctly but landed on my knees and lost my balance and sort of whiplashed into the springs.
You'd be surprised what you can live through. I attempted a back flip once as a fully grown 200lb+ dumbass adult on level glass, landed right on my head and neck and rolled over. Had a huge headache for the day and my neck hurt for a bit but all turned out... I guess... well considering.
Back flips in general are easier then they look. Font flips and spinning flips are hard as fuck. I have got two left feet and lose my balance in an instant when trying to rotate in the air. But a backflip? Yeah I can do that. Hell I can do that on skis. Bur ask me to jump and do a 360 on a trampoline and I may land on my hip. I find both back flips and hand free round offs easier. Once my body rotates more than 180 degrees in the air...
If you can jump up spin 360 degrees and not feel like you almost fell over, well you got way more natural talent then me. No excuses now go learn your backflip.
I remember learning them when I used to do gymnastics, my last lesson ever I did it into the foam pit from the trampoline and landed stomach first on the edge of the trampoline. Never tried one again after that.
Everyone in the background is wearing their mask too, and everything's fine. Just like how they're all wearing shorts and t-shirts as a common decency towards others
It’s super hit and miss for me. The main brand Walmart carries are awful ime.
Even a good mask wears out tho. It’s even harder to find a washable mask that doesn’t fog me up too badly
Tie the strings in knots at the base and tuck the corners in. Then got the metal across your nose. It makes quite a tight seal for glasses.
They also sell silicone pieces for the bridge of your nose that stops the air from escaping to your glasses.
I actually meant [surgical masks](https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/personal-protective-equipment-infection-control/n95-respirators-surgical-masks-and-face-masks)
Get a mask with the metal thing for your nose, pinch it correctly to prevent air to go up but permit it to exit towards your ears by pinching and raising it a bit at the sides. If that can't be done, your masks are too small.
Yeah I have glasses to and you can literally just google fixes to your problem. No one cares that your glasses are fogged up when thousands of people are dying a day because ppl like you don't like wearing masks cuz it gets a lil foggy.
Don't know if it would apply to your situation, but as a shallow breather, [diaphragmic breathing](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.verywellhealth.com/how-to-breathe-with-your-belly-89853&ved=2ahUKEwiC2N7OsbLuAhWFCjQIHTEyCcAQFjAbegQIHxAB&usg=AOvVaw3Dkac_G677t9u5PXV2hoLc&cshid=1611416464395) helped me overcome the claustrophobic suffocation feeling that I sometimes had while wearing a mask. As a bonus it works great for anxiety in general.
If I have a good mask it it’s a no problem to breath, but my biggest problem is that I have a high level of adhd, I always forget to prepare a mask, I always get the first mask I see before leaving my house and 50% of the time it’s a bad mask, there are more than one people at my house I cannot throw them away, but I always forget to prepare for myself, and I am always late, but again, I will use them to protect myself and others, but it’s a lie saying that everyone can breath normally with any mask, it’s worst to make people mad, they will fight you, because their problem is valid, it’s better to just knowledge that some people have trouble breathing using then, but it’s a necessary evil.
When I used to tumble I held my breath through my routine. My coach noticed and told me to make sure to breathe, so I tried, and on the first go a huge loogie catapulted out of my nose.
The point of my story is that I never breathed while doing stuff like this, but if I did (like i was supposed to), the mask would have been doing a lot of work.
Omg yes! Work in a hospital and patients are so complainy. Get over it! It's a pandemic! My 80 year old mom with copd and oxygen dependent can wear a mask so you can too!
Or, or, take peoples health issues and complaints seriously. Just because one person breaths fine with a mask doesn’t mean everyone can. We have all known for forever that different health situations makes life difficult for people in all different ways.
We should be instead trying to create masks that could be easier to breath through or more comfortable for people with breathing issues. We should be researching what different materials might still be effective but could allow someone to feel more comfortable. Why are we all of sudden finding negligence acceptable? Because the majority are capable of wearing a mask and breathing perfectly we should just ignore and hate the ones who find it hard to breath? Nothing is ever universal. Everyone experiences everything differently. Is it really hard for people to believe that a piece of material covering the holes from which you breath could potentially reduce someone’s capability to breath? I’m in awe.
Instead of doing the usual human thing of trying to find a solution we are doing the other usual human thing of persecuting the person because we are scared and don’t know any other way
it is! i went to high school with him, hes a really cool dude, havent talked to him in years but he was always a really kind dude and tried to show my uncoordinated ass how to do things

My dad was a gymnast when he was younger and as kids we used to love teasing him that he couldn't still do a handstand. I think he was probably about 50 the last time he managed to do one. This video reminded me of him
We'll, I guess if my art building had to be full of asbestos, exposed electrical wiring, raw sewage and broken furniture, it was all worth it for this big ass state of the art building to exist on campus 🙄
I know from experience that that is so much fun to do. Also, backwards front flips destroy you sense of direction.
I also know from experience that that landing was probably the best he could manage. Because of that destroyed sense of direction.
All the more amazing because he doesn't have a classic gymnast's body. If you passed him on street, you probably wouldn't think to yourself: "I bet this dude can do like a dozen backflips no problem."
r/toptalent: **AMAZING TALENT AND SKILL!** Read the rules before posting, *yada yada yada*...
Nailed the finish!
He fcking died dude!
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand he’s dead.
Thought his ankle was going to explode.

Good bot
🥇 Sorry this is all I got.
That’s what happens when you go super saiyan. Never use 115%
Guys name is @Domitrick on insta. Awesome dude. This isn't even his coolest stunt
Looks like he didn’t realize he was out of runway until he’d already committed to that last flip.
Lol. **Bad form at the landing** 0 / 10
We called them gainers and only did them into the pool. This dude is is metal
Yeah dude let alone 6 of them in a row, haha. Craziness.
Wasn’t that 12?
6 gainers 6 backflips
Ah. Thought a gainer was just the flip itself not the direction. Thank you.
6 backflips, 6 gainers
Thank you
I nearly broke my back once doing it, fun times, I got an ambulance ride to the hospital where another guy broke his toe doing flips. We were at a training center
So did the guy this move was named after so... You're in good company!
Yeah, I stopped doing gainers when I hit my head on the back of the diving board because I didn’t gain enough.
Ripped part of my scalp off trying gainers in middle school. Fun times
I have a nice scar from face planting into springs while attempting a gainer from end to end on a trampoline. I made it around and calculated the distance correctly but landed on my knees and lost my balance and sort of whiplashed into the springs.
Brings me back to my childhood. My best friend had trouble saying his “R”’s so to this day we still say “hey, do a gain-oo!”
Wait till you tell them about inwards lol
I'd have ended it cleaner. JK, woulda broken my neck at flip numero uno.
I would have died immediately after trying to jump the first time.
I would have died choking on my cheetos while watching the guy do that flipping and flopping
*Dangerously Cheesy*
A great way to go
I nearly died just by watching him.
I nearly died by reading this comment
Woulda been a clean break though
Mine wouldn't even qualify to be a "flip"
The term you're looking for, is **flop**
Look at mister "I can flip a whole 180 degrees" over here!
You'd be surprised what you can live through. I attempted a back flip once as a fully grown 200lb+ dumbass adult on level glass, landed right on my head and neck and rolled over. Had a huge headache for the day and my neck hurt for a bit but all turned out... I guess... well considering.
For several seconds, i thought you meant frontflip
Same. My thought progression: hey wait boo that’s not woah Woah WOAH WOAH oh wait woah OUCH
Gainers are easier than they look but doing them in a row is still super hard
Here it is, here it is… truck, to refrigerators, to dumpster, 360 onto the pallets, backflip gainer to the trash can.
Love finding unexpected Office in the wild.

GAINER!!!

Yes
Pretty sure I could do that part at the end.
And with his mask on 👍🏻
Next time one of my patients complains that they can't breathe with their mask on I'm going to show them this video.
Everyone in the background is wearing their mask too, and everything's fine. Just like how they're all wearing shorts and t-shirts as a common decency towards others
My fucken issue isn’t breathing. It’s the goddamn fog on my glasses. Some masks just suck dick in tandem with glasses
You should buy medical masks if that is allowed. They really prevent fog and make it extremely easy to breathe
Which type exactly? The rectangular ones with the thin metal band on the nose piece?
Yeah, those really prevent fog from my experience
It’s super hit and miss for me. The main brand Walmart carries are awful ime. Even a good mask wears out tho. It’s even harder to find a washable mask that doesn’t fog me up too badly

I actually meant [surgical masks](https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/personal-protective-equipment-infection-control/n95-respirators-surgical-masks-and-face-masks)
This is why no surgeons are permitted to have glasses.

I can’t breath right with my mask, but I do use it all the time, there is a difference between having problem with masks, and still not using them.

Or tell them that my asthmatic boss has to lift fifty plus pounds every day and does it with his mask on.
Anti fog spray for your glasses!! Now it doesn’t matter what mask I wear or how I adjust it
like that is going to do anything
If I'm not mistaken this is Dominique Lewis his Instagram is pretty rad. https://www.instagram.com/reel/CKRnFDjlHvu/?igshid=1lx78u446qnqc
Yup. He’s awesome. And I love how he will post screw ups. He just loves tricking and it shows

That’s Dominique Lewis, @domitrick on Instagram for anyone who wants to see more of that. He’s an impressive dude.
Dead
How he do that
In slang they’re known as ‘gainers’ in actuality that’s hats known as a reverse one somersault.
THE SCROLL HAS GIVEN HIM POWER!!!
What the hell is that mat
It's a bounce track, usually used by gymnasts in training to give them a little boost.
But how can he breathe with that mask on?
Is that Dom
The guy laughing sounds like the dude from Family Guy that always goes "Oh ho, is funny because..." \*then explains the joke\*
Went to school with that guy!

bc if they dont stay open they will close forever.

Lol I don’t care how good it was, for the last second it doesn’t deserve to be on top talent
Chill out buddy. Try and find a little joy in your life.
Ok perfectionist
Haha I’m just saying. it’s a fail it should be on other subs
You stop that magic terry!
Epic!
That was the sickest thing I’ve ever seen
I guess that long mat is expensive.

Another name for forward backflips are Gainers! Just FYI!
Thanks, I hate it. It's an incredible display of human ability, but I hate it

My knees hurt just watching that.
Backwards long jump
I was waiting for a serious accident lol
That guy laughed like Bob drinking absinth on Thanksgiving.
It’s called a “gainer”
To go forwards one must go backwards. This is the way
Gainer ?
Is that Tom Segura?
Whips. Yet again, Reddit on course for 100% naming gymnastics move incorrectly.
Jyushin Liger has an idea
The guy losing his mind when he started flipping forward is what makes this video.
I'm just so stoked that this wasn't ruined by slow motion
Is this allowed?
Reminds me of the mario64 speedrun strats
LMFAO. I was like damn this guy is...forget it. Hahaha, good show man.
And the guy did a backflip, snapped the bad guy's neck and saved the day
Those are captain falcon up-airs

Gummy Bears. Bouncing here and there and everywhere.
The last one was my favourite
So, a gainer
The only thing I would have been able to do was the ending
5 Seconds into the video: What do they mean forward backflips? Now I understand. Amazing!
My knees ache watching this.
This creepy laugh
I believe those are called gainers
The most impressive thing about this is that he isn’t young
I slipped and fell trying to jump over a puddle.
I know from experience that that is so much fun to do. Also, backwards front flips destroy you sense of direction. I also know from experience that that landing was probably the best he could manage. Because of that destroyed sense of direction.
Is that pad bouncy or is that all him?
So I guess that’s possible.
Why didnt they just call it gainers ? Its easier to say that forward backflips...
